If someone can please do a review of the sound quality and output etc via otg/usb using an external DAC, it would be appreciated!

That's handy to know.
I have 2 TVs at home with HDMI. The sound works with one but the other I just get Video for some reason
Is it possible to do something like this;
HDMI Video only to my TV
Bluetooth Audio to my Music System / Headphones / Computer speakers
Has any one tried this ?
Can try when I get home from work if nobody has tried it before then.
EDIT: That worked just fine on stock. Should a video on youtube on the TV via HDMI and the sound to my music system via Bluetooth and the Belkin Bluetooth Music Receiver
When using the hdmi output, does the phone still send audio through its speakers or the miniplug jack? Or it only sends audio through hdmi and cancels all other audio outputs?
Regularly it's sending both audio and video over the cable. Maybe someone knows how to improve overall performance while hdmi is on? ^^
But can it send video through hdmi plus audio through the 3.5 mm jack? I'm thinking in getting a d3, however the monitor I would be using doesn't have audio

Technically it should work, though I admit I did not try it yet.
I guess will give it a try soon.
Is there a way to access dock setting like in the galaxy s4?
as stated in the post title - is it possible at all? or it can only record mono...
if possible, which apps can someone recommend?
to be more precise:
i want to plug in the external audio source to my device and record audio from the device to android...
thanks in advance...
Hi I was listening to my music and I was impressed but just wanted that bit more volume I don't want to root ect (I cannot believe I'm saying that)
Has anyone tried a usb dongle which ships with most phones without headphone jack as I've heard some have a dac built in and sound much louder ect
Suppose another question is would it even work on out phone as we already have a headphone jack will our phone evem recognise music through the usb type c adapter?
Thanks
you can get external DAC's that use the usb out to get direct digital audio, bypassing the A/D D/A conversion.
I have a pair of headphones (AKG N90Q) that have built in DAC. they can grab audio direct from the usb output.

Right just tried some gaming headphones which have a dac and I've tried them both on the note 8 and the ps4 pro remote and both sound quiet and lacking volume
But when I plug them into the tv the quadruple in volume does this mean that the note 8 and ps4 are just not as loud even tho I'm using the dac from the headphones
Thanks
