I can not find a nandroid but here is a Guru Reset 4.19.401.11 and the corresponding stock firmware. This version is the update to your version.
If you are getting an error in fastboot.exe have you considered upgrading to the latest fastboot?

the problem is not the fastboot of phone but the file fastboot.exe of my pc (Win7), which fastboot do you mean? I think I have a recent version of this file.
Tomorrow I'll try with guru file but I don't know what is it so there are differents part respect flashing a normal rom (I hope you understand) ?? Thanks man

Here are the instructions for the Guru Reset, it is flashed in custom recovery just like a custom rom.
Use this Minimal ADB & fastboot Tool to update your fastboot.exe on your PC.

Thanks i'll report if this will work or not!

Hi,
excuse me but are you sure that it will work fine on HTC Incredible S ? even if the phone is not rooted ?
I think that the Incredible S is protected (see in google : Root Incredible S signed)
and I can't risk my phone but I need to have the arabic language on my Incredible S
@sahbibenayed
This is probably an official (and HTC signed) ROM.. so you should be able to install it on your phone without any problem.
Still i take no responsibility in what happens to it!!
Thank you
Was waiting for an Arabic rom.
Should the phone be in any particular mode? I.e. bootloader or hboot for the ruu app to recognize it?

Has anyone successfully got this to work? I must be doing something wrong because I'm getting the following error:

P.S. I just downloaded the .exe file, connected my Incredible S and opened the .exe file. Is this the correct way?

Sorry to ask this noob question, but Incredible S is my first Android phone. Do updating to this RUU (Arabic enabled) will prevent or cause any issues when HTC release its stock Android 2.4 next month ?
I managed to gold card my phone. I set my usb connection to charge only with usb debugging on and tried to install the RUU but I got error 131 again. Did I missed something here ?
I repeated the whole process 2 times with no luck ...

As you can see there are plenty of ways to do Rom and Kernel updates. If you are the type of person that wants to easily get the Stock ICS Rom, use the RUU. RUU stands for "Rom Update Utility" and all you need to do is download the RUU (it will be a zip file with 1 EXE inside), plug your phone into your computer, extract the EXE file and Run. Everything will be automatic.
If you unlocked your bootloader, make sure to relock it. Also, the RUU states to make sure you have at least 30% battery life, but I alway charge it up all the way before I perform any update.
I hope this helps a little.

Yes the att one would be fine I guess , bloat ware I guess don't bother me not sure even what it is ,
I can flash a new one after I've unlocked the boot loader and rooted ? If correct then just put the exe and run files on the sd as before ?
So the kernel has to match the Rom ....also if I load or flash a Rom do I need to flash the kernel too ?
I just read that again run is not a file it is what you do with exe right ?
Unzip the exe file to desktop or somewhere accessible, make sure phone has usb debugging enabled, also need to have htc sync installed....plug in phone to computer via usb cable...execute the ruu...after this has flashed the phone and rebooted/loaded etc....then if you choose to unlock the bootloader go to htcdev website, register and follow the instructions to unlock your bootloader. Once the bootloader is unlocked then you have to decide what rom you would like to use and thats about it....

Don't select bootloader when you get to the white screen just select fastboot and connect your phone to USB and it should read in red USB fastboot.

You'll need to save the files on your PC (desktop) connect to adb and open up command prompt to flash the recovery and boot.img.
Where are the ICS roms at that work on AT&T Vivid? I couldnt find any.

[OTA][Firmware] 4.06.651.9

Firmware:
4.06.651.9 Full Firmware - for S-ON users (fastboot flashable): You will have to re-lock your bootloader to flash the firmware if you are S-ON
4.06.651.9 Modified Firmware - for S-OFF users w/ hboot, boot.img, recovery ... removed (fastboot flashable): No need to re-lock
Instructions for flashing the firmware:
rename firmware to firmware.zip
copy firmware.zip to your sdk>platform-tools folder
boot into bootloader
plug in usb
select fastboot option (screen should say fastboot usb)
type Fastboot oem rebootRUU
when you see the black screen w/ HTC, type Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
when it's done, type Fastboot reboot
Thanks @thoughtlesskyle
Thanks @tws101 for this
To Remove the Update Notification on the Modified Firmware if you are receiving them, you will need to update your \system\build.prop
1. Use an android file browser (with root access) and browse to \system\
2. Copy the build.prop file to your sd-card
3. Extract to your PC
4. Open with an editor like Notepad+
5. Find and replace "4.06.651.4" with "4.06.651.9"
6. On your phone rename the original file to build.prop.bak
7. Import the new file to your phone \system\
8. Correct file permissions rw-r-r
9. Reboot the phone
Now you will no longer receive update notifications. This step is only necessary if you used the modified firmware to update a stock rooted 4.06.651.4

LOL -- there really *isn't* much in there -- it's just a few parts of a full set.
If folks want 'it all' as it were, flash 4.06.651.4_modified_firmware_RUU.zip first, then modified_firmware_4.06.651.9.zip -- that should do it.
(teaser -- just for fun -- *really* edged-out version of TWRP coming soon, just a teeny selinux thing to work out first -- lol).
How can I flash this with twrp recovery. My pc broke I need to be able to update with just my phone. Thanks in advance.

You have more than just rcdata in the zip... It should attempt to write all the images stored in the zip, not just 1... In the about section it still says it is .4 not .9 like it should.

In the About section it's based on the rom you are running if it's a .4 rom it will say .4 if any of the devs decide to update to .9 it will say .9

Just one last question. After doing the above procedure I will be able to receive OTA updates? and the link you provided has Sense 5.5 or Sense 6 ?
I dont know the Sense version, but I will guess to be 5.5
You have to follow the process in my guide as well to be back on stock.. Also, try to S-OFF as is to maybe have better recovery options.

Either that or make me a ROM that is for the Australian telstra 64-bit model maybe some ome can teach me how to create and compile it my self.
Have you tried a backup first ?

This seems like a Strange question I know, But have you tried doing a BACKUP FIRST ?
Now having had to rescue a couple of these phones (3 to be precise) , (all with the same nandroid backup I might add)
(With No help from HTC - where are the RUU links for our phone I have to ask?, that having been said, thanks HTC for letting me unlock bootloader, (still cool) I take it all back.....)
I have found however that if a flash completes but is no good , fails to boot for example, that if you FIRST, take a backup with philz of your corrupted system, - to allow the recovery to write a last log to (broken) system with mount points, phone specifics about baseband, serial no., etc,.. BEFORE trying to restore a Good copy of a nandroid backup
(hope you have one! )
That you should then be able to restore a nandroid backup to phone. sometimes even a nandroid that failed last time. (due to failing to find mount points)
A quick note on this point is that only backups made while booted into recovery have proven successful when trying to restore backups thus far, all methods of taking backups any other way are/will be corrupted and will not prove in any way useful to restore your device.
Most of the RUU updates are wrong bootloader by the way they are based on 3.4 kernel (32bit) and not 3.10 kernel which is what 64 bit is running.
I would offer you a copy of a nandroid myself but I am aware that radio firmware is tied to carrier and probably would not work for your baseband and carrier setup. If all else fails however you are of course welcome to try, (pm me if you need a copy) I dont think it will be too long before a successful port to our phone anyway.
Good-luck,

i have a similar case, i was able to get 64 bit RUU's from the internet (Asia WWE, and HTC Europe) but i can't flash them, the following is a description of the situation:
1. bootloader unlocked, custom recovery installed.
2. S-ON,
3. no userdata (system partition ?) i don't know the difference, i can flash boot (kernel) and recovery.
4. i can't flash the above mentioned roms since it is saying i have wrong CID, and i can't change the CID because S-ON
any tips ?
* i was able to download, compile & build kernel from source for telstra, i don't know how system (or userdata) image is built, any hint on that as well ?

I had the same problem with restoring the orginal Rom.
I think the command for relocking the bootloader was "fastboot oem relock"

I've already done that, having the bootloader unlocked will throw another error, this was incorrect CID related one.
my phone is on Telstra (Australia) ROM, sadly, the RUU exists on some Persian forums with paid service, if there is a way where i can compile/build the system image from source, please let me know..
