Hey my ~2years old HTC one m7 stopped working today.
I was using the Phone for navigation (GPS) today until the battery was @ 0% (Even showed -2% later).
Now when I start (by holding the POWER button for 5-10sec) it will show me this white screen + htc logo.
And it freezes right there, I tried POWER + VOL- and tried everything from recover/reboot to factory reset. Nothing seems to work.

Have you put the phone on a charger and let it charge itself fully before you start or try to turn it on? There is a build-in safeguard to protect the battery from getting too low.

If it charged up with a green LED and you still can not get it to boot properly you can try to run the RUU 6.10.531.9 this is the latest one from T-Mobile. The instructions are on the page. If it doesn't work, then you may have to take it back to T-Mobile for repairs.
NOTE: If you are S-ON, your bootloader needs to be "Locked" or "Relocked" to execute the RUU.

It started as soon as I received a phone call from my brother and we were in the middle of a conversation when the phone suddenly goes off. I tried to restart it, I even removed the battery and replaced it but when I press the power button I get the initial boot sequence showing the htc logo and then the phone would just go of. I thought that maybe the battery is low but when I plug it to a power outlet it keeps trying to boot but keeps switching off and it just does this over and over.
Please I don't know if anyone has encountered this problem before, I really don't know what to do.

Try a Hard Reset using the device buttons:
1. With the phone off. If it’s frozen or unresponsive, pull then replace the battery.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons and power the phone back on.
3. Continue to hold Volume Up and Volume Down until a factory reset screen appears.
Hope this helps!

Well I just did that but the problem persist. I should note that occasionally it does complete its boot up and I can use the phone but it can go off at any time and once it does this, i cannot get it to completely boot up. Once it attempts a boot up and goes off I cannot even restart it by pressing the power button until I replace the battery or plug it into a power socket or the computer at which point it will just keep booting up and shutting down.
Something far wrong there. Get a replacement device.

Hi, I have got the same problem on my HD7 and I am completely noob to many new words Goldcard, jailbroken, etc. Would you please advise me exactly what you did (i mean flahing procedure) and really appriciate any help.
Well if you have got an O2 HD7, then I would advise you to get one of the O2 ROMS from ansar, download it then press and hold the volume down button when booting up your device, connect the phone to your pc and start the app. More instructions in the HD7 development thread.
There's nothing wrong the phone. Don't hard reset or flash it. It happens from time to time, just give it some time and eventually you will see a battery icon appear. Then after awhile it will boot up.
Again, do not flash or hard reset just be patient. I believe it just needs to drain all the way down as it doesn't have enough power to fully boot.
Not booting up

I then took the battery out and used Vol down key + power to reboot into bootloader. Nothing happed, phone just bleeps few times. Still black screen.
Need urgen help please.
Pull battery for 15min and try again. If nothing happened go to service. Or try install the ruu for your country.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried hard reset after taking out the battery without any luck. I can not install the RUU as the phone is dead, black screen. Battery was fully charged. I did a bad flash by accident via rom manager.
Anyone out there with similar problem and found the solution, I do not need another expensive door stopper.

If you can go to bootloader or make factory reset (vol down + vol up + power) and something showing on the screen you can install ruu.
If you can charge the battery (led is shining) its mean you need only j-tag :d
If nothing with this. Its mean your memory is dead.
I had this issues on my friend phone. But there was no led and no vibration. Realy dead

The screen is black. So hard reset does not work. Total dead, the screen does not light. When you do factory reset, the phone make 5 or 7 beeps like when phone is vibrating, then it is dead, no response. I think I need to have J-Tag.

Are you sure it was fully charged? Try to reboot it in bootloader (hold power and vol down for couple secs). when in bootloader, select ''fastboot'' then ''power down'' and plug your device to charger. make sure the red led is on and let it charge for a while before attempting to reboot it normally.

Did you root it or install a custom rom? Something might have gone wrong. If you are still on stock, you can still exchange since you got it recently.
since its brand new just take it back and get it exchanged.
Hi, I posted a question on this already but the situation has changed. So firstly what happened was i rooted, flashed cwm recovery and was running the sinless rom GPE. this was fine for about a month and then i decided to s-off...the s-off process went smoothly and the phone powered back on like normal. Then i flashed another rom and there was a cyan colour filling the screen at boot so I decided to restore from a previous backup. However this backup was done before the s-off process. After restoring successfully I clicked "reboot phone" on CWM and since that the phone never turned on or show any signs of life.
At first it would connect to the computer but show up in device manager as QHSUSB_DLOAD but now when I connect the phone to the computer it jus disconnects and reconnects over and over.
Things I tried:
Holding power button for over 2 minutes (with and without bright light on the sensor).
Left charging for over 4 days.
Holding Power+VOL down for over 2 minutes.
Holding Power+VOL up for over 2 minutes.
Holding all three hardware buttons for over 2 minutes.
In the process of trying all these things not once did the led even blink or did the phone even show any signs of life. Can anyone help with this situation?

Hi mate, as i know, the QHSUSB_DLOAD mode, is the same to say: bricked phone...
So, probably, you have to send it to htc for warranty and they have to change your motherboard...

Theoretically no, because the mainboard won't work...
I think is the possibility that your phone is bricked is hard
HTC One, Froze, Restart, Cannot turn on, NO LED etc.

I also had the case of my HTC One, my battery was still at 55% while I was watching a video until it froze, so I decided to shut it down to reboot but when I tried to switch it on, it already does not show the Red LED, did any possible combinations of power on and pressing down the volume also under bright light, but there's no luck on it. However, I tried plugging my phone to the PC and there are still the sounds that it has connected. I checked it on the devmgmt.msc but it says that:
Base System Device, QHSUSB_DLOAD and Unidentified Device - All appeared to say "No Driver Found"
It has been a day since I left my phone wall charged, plugged it in the PC with the USB detected sounds but still can't turn it on. Is there any other way to turn on the phone again? Since I badly wanted to recover all my photos and other stuff from the phone Any possible help/tip/advice would be much appreciated! Would there be any way before sending it to the HTC Company? Thank you in advance!
There is a possible fix for that around here somewhere, a Guide to fix hard bricks, typical I cant find it now.
EDIT: Here it is, only supports M7_UL devices though, never had to use it so I cant answer any further queries on it, if you have any problems trying it you'll have to post in that thread.

Try RUUing? Follow this guide.
If that doesn't work, time to hand it in back to Sprint I suppose.
