is there a way to move the multi window bar from the right of the screen to the left? I use the right for LMT and I've always had it on the left on my Note 3.
Sane here I haven't figured it out
I've searched everywhere and it appears there is no option for moving the bar. Thanks Samsung!
Most likely because of the multiwindow changes, this is going to be something only available after rooting and installing a mod or custom Rom.
Yeah it seems like after the note 3 its the only software that can move the multi window bar location because my Samsung tablet 7inch got ported ROMs and the bars where always stuck on right hand side it didn't have the tab on the bar to move it like in the note 3 I asked before and devs say they don't wanna mess with it as its not a priority on there ROMs

Can't you grab the rounded piece while multiwindow is in its closed sidebar state and move it around at that point? Haven't picked up the N4 yet but tried this and it works fine on my friend's S5

n4 sidebar no longer has that rounded piece. only way to invoke sidebar is hold down the back button.

Been looking everywhere. I like it on left side too as it used to be (or the option of) have you found a way?
Fs
Well since the Note 4 has been rooted and has a recovery I still haven't found anything to move the side bar. Not even in Xposed or Wanam.
Keeping thread alive... plus adding screenshots...
@foreverloco (since you have worked with both Note 4/Note Edge on the themes) or anyone that could know...
On the Note 3 we were able to move the Multi Window to the left/right/bottom/top by grabbing the tab...

Now, on the Note Edge the multi window is ALWAYS on the LEFT side for obvious reasons...: (no tab to grab)
And on the Note 4 is ALWAYS on the RIGHT side: (no tab to grab)
Since we have the Edge with the MW on the left side... Can anyone compare files between roms? A mod should be really easy...

Well there have been hacks to get rid of the bottom softkey row but it gets rid of it in all apps which starts a no-no.
Another method would be to use homescreens that are full screen... kinda like the ones you have to launch (basically an app). You don't really get rid of the bars, just have a program covering them up.
Another method, which I used to use, is to skin the bars with the same image so it appears they're gone, with just the background and icons and softkey text. It actually works well. Of course you need WM6.5 that allows skinning.
Other methods include "desktop" replacements like WAD and such. They basically skin the bars to your liking and works with older windows mobile OS's

Thanks Player911 for the advice. BTW, i am using WM6.5, so what would you suggest as best.
Please keep in mind i am running the Gen.Y Manila "Revolution" R1.5 VGA Port CFC with the Panaramic background.
I'd like to know this also...
And it'd be amazing if anyone ported this to vga...

Hey guys i put together a tutorial
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=87958
Hi all!
Got a recent problem i flashed a new CM on my HOX and now i cant stretch UCCW skins till the border of screen.
I got last Nova Prime, no status bar, no dock bar, no margins, and i always get 2/3 px margin in skins in the bottom of the screen.
Its like the util area of the desktop doesnt go till the end of the screen, and i got that 2/3 px in bottom that i can see the background.
Never happened to me, i already had this UCCW theme properly adjusted to my screen, and after flashing the rom i cant fit it properly ..
I checked and double checked every setting, even expanded desktop in CM settings, and i cant figure what im missing.
Anyone can give me some hints ?

Question for you, do your widgets have vertical spaces in between as well?
Im using albinomans cm10.1 ROM btw.

i have same issue with the fit of UCCW to the both edges of the screen. It's fit to the top and bottom conner but at the midle of the edge, it seems to be an arc.
Hello all. I'm sure most of you have heard of Halo))) by now. It's Paranoid Android's answer to Samsung's multi window feature. After using Halo for 3 days now on Carbon ROM, I would say this feature is just as useful as multi window.
It basically sets up the same way. You set up your favorite apps and then let's say you're browsing the web and you quickly want to check sports scores, just tap on the Halo icon on left hand side of your screen and then scroll to your sports app. Then your sports app will overlap your browser until you tap on your browser to make the sports app go away.
Halo is also great for incoming notifications. When you get a text message, again just click on the icon and the message will overlap whatever app you're in.
This is available in the following ROMs found in the Original Development Forum:
Paranoid Android
Carbon
Pacman
I thought this could be a useful Halo discussion thread for this brand new feature.

Halo looks like a pretty sweet Mod. I wonder if there are any intentions of this Mod working on a TW Rom
I don't wanna quote you and make the post unnecessarily long... but I was thinking the same thing. This would be AWESOME if we could get Halo on a TW ROM. Especially now that they have opened up their sources for it, I'm sure it's just a matter of time till it comes!!
Yes please. That looks awesome
Not sure if this will make it to a TW ROM. I guess it's possible since we got PIE using LMT.

Here you go guys. This in my opinion is the best program to lock apps with the fingerprint. I've been using it for about a week now and it's been solid. The UI is very clean as well as the operations. And it's made for Samsung devices. Works great on the Note 4.

on/off widget does not work on note 4 so far...
I didn't even know this program had a widget lol. Doesn't matter as you don't need to use the widget for anything. This is as simple and convenient as you get.
Can this app hide the icons of the protected apps? I need something to hide the icons all together and only have them appear once I enter my fingerprint.
That would certainly be a neat feature. I think the closest we can get is to remove the icon from the drawer through twiz or nova.

What a great app! Thanks for the suggestion
Verizon N4 : Thank me if I helped ya
I tried that app, then quickly uninstalled after finding out that locked apps will still show a full thumbnail in the recent apps list... that kind of defeats the purpose of privacy.

Other from that, why does this take up like 130mb of ram? lol by far the highest in my running apps list!
Mines showing this. With Google inbox taking up like 150mb. That damn nhl app lol.
And if you greenify the app , it will be crippled.

I am going to give it a go but as this app should hide protected apps from launcher and recent apps too.

Yes. That is for sure a deal breaker. Now we have to disable the switching apps button. Which as far as I know is not doable.
Ever since updating to the Android PIE Samsung One UI this one thing has bugged me to no end.
See the attached image. Why is the 'Settings' heading so large?
It seems to take up around 40% of the screen for no good reason.
I know you can just scroll down but why does it need to be so massive?
Hope there is some way to make it smaller as it is ridiculously large.

All native apps are like this. It is to make one handed use easier. Its actually a great design idea for such a tall device.

Because it's faster/more natural to swipe up + makes more sense (like a title of X) vs having to swipe down to pull settings text and options lower to reach with one hand. I explain myself badly, but from design stand point this is the better choice and makes more sense vs the other way around.
