[Q] Apple Emoji Non Color - Off-topic

Is there a way to get the apple emoji font that is not in color so it still has the look and feel of the apple emoji but just not the color so it will work on androids with ROMs lower than 4.4.4. If there is can someone please tell me cause I can't seem to find one anywhere. Thank you for reading and any help will be appreciated.

[REQUEST] app to invert everything on screen (colors)

Hi guys,
I know that the "screen filter" app exists,
but would anyone be willing to code an app that
basically inverts ALL colors (or white to a dark grey) on screen ?
I don't know if it's supported at all by the android APIs but perhaps someone has an idea how to do it
this would save HUGE AMOUNTS of energy when reading
e.g. PDF files with only text in them
or browsing on lots of sites with also only have a white background and (little) dark text
this is especially applicable to those devices using AMOLED displays such as the Samsung Galaxy S (I own one)
If you'd be willing to code it for the community - that would be great
if you'd need some donation - that will be OK, too
I'm sure others would join, too, since that app really would help to get a much longer battery runtime in those usage cases
Many thanks in advance
I'm not sure
but I think I found what I was looking for:
IDEAL Magnifier
nope - only for camera-input
it's getting close
anyone knows of an app that can invert the screen's content ?
otherwise it should be still correctly place in "development" subforum
edit:
documentation for browser with inverted white/colors and SurfaceFlinger:

edit2:
getting the browser from cyanogenmod into ROMs also would be quite helpful

*bump*
seriously - no one has interest in this kind of app ?
*bump*
I'm very interested in this thread. If only someone could shed some light on the topic. Also, would it be possible to port cyanogenmod browser to other roms?

@boarder.2k9, ickyboo:
I think the problem is - that this is quite a very interesting topic (much potential)
and perhaps devs also might be willing to do it
but they are hesitant because it's some more work than the usual "hey - this music app doesn't include these features - let's code a new one"
a bounty (called "donation" in the post above) might make it (especially the whole-screen invert app) much more attractive to code I believe
if that's possible from Android's side, that is
it might be the case that it'll only work with CyanogenMod due to some pretty deep changes to the system
I'm not really coding much - I'm more the kind of linux-distro kernel patchset guy so I have no clear idea what requirements might be needed for this "stunt"

Yah, some1 should sort this out....
Bump, ouch my knee.

Bump! As I just posted on the thread in the general Android forum, :
I very much want this, too! Not only would it be great for night time viewing and amoled power savings, but it would also provide some wear leveling/un-burn-in effects for the notification bar, keyboards, etc.! Say you use the inverted mode 50% of the time, it would completely counter burn-in from the other 50%.
Please, someone, do it and I'll pay handsomely. I'll pitch in $20 to a bounty, anyways.
It should be almost as easy as CyanogenMod's render effects or Chainfire 3D's night mode. If they can take each pixel's intended color, calculate that minus green and blue, and output the result, they should be able to take the color, calculate the inverse, and output that, instead. I'm not a programmer, though, so I may be off base.
I don't have a Galaxy S I9000, but I'm also looking for this. I don't know if Quick Invert is compatible with this device (it isn't with My Nexus S), but the developer shares some ideas for a more universal implementation here.
CF.lumen
Search for CF.lumen in play store.
If you use opera mobile (may work in other browsers) you can create a bookmarklet, try ''night mode'' here http://o.yeswap.com/

Unfortunately, CF.lumen doesn't work for me.
Maybe I will do that. But if I do, it'll require 2 things. Root and Xposed.

[LINK] Roboto Font Criticism + Designer's Response

I'm not a typography nut but I enjoy seeing how people nitpick over tiny details. Here is an interesting blog article titled Roboto is a Four-headed Frankenfont that criticizes the Roboto design. It also includes a response from Roboto's designer, Christian Robertson.
For those using Roboto fonts now (including me), this is an interesting quote from the designer:
Note that there are still some bugs in the font that has been extracted from the SDK. Many of these have been corrected already, and you can expect to see some fixes to minor kerning issues and some diacritical misalignments.

with the exception of the major kerning issues with the lockscreen on older versions of android i really like the font, and though i do see what he's talking about i don't agree. And this is from someone who's just spent 6 months in a typography class.
i've only used 3 fonts on android. the default fonts, Zegoe (zune hd font) and now Roboto. And though certain things look a little better in Zegoe, overall i think roboto looks great and in many cases i do feel it's the easiest typeface i've seen on a phone as far as reading goes.
I just switched to Roboto from than33's modified Segoe, which I assume is more or less the same as the Zune's Zegoe. My opinion is pretty much the same as yours. Segoe had a little bit more immediate visual appeal and I kinda miss that. However Roboto looks clean and it is extremely easy to read, which is very helpful on my RSS feed widget.
What a pretentious "writer"...I'm guessing he didn't even try or see it on a phone screen.
Roboto is a joke and a ripoff.

It's not really bro.. and u should check out the response.. or try using it on your phone. Personally, i'm very 'font conscious' and find this much much easier on the eyes. I've probably tried over 100 fonts in android. In the end, no one's gonna care if the font is a ripoff or an inspiration... just what works well.

[Q] Softkeys problem

When I tryna change my softkeys with SoftkeyZ to the Android 5.0 ones they are not far from each other like the Android 5.0 ones. I've seen people that made the icons far from each other but its not working for me. I suck at explanations but I hope you understand me. Sorry for my bad english.

Raccoon emojis?

Hi!
Are there any raccoon emojis or stickers available anywhere? They seem hard to come by even though there's like, every other freaking animal, and I'd like do have a full set. It would be super awesome if anyone knew where I could download a set! Or if possible, I'd be more than happy to donate to someone who could create such a thing If it matters, I am using gboard but not opposed to the samsung keyboard at all. Thanks in advance!

Theme Editor for IQOO 3

This is for the first time I bought Vivo phone (IQOO 3). And I am satisfied with the performance camera and all the things about this device But there's just one thing I don't like is that there are no customisation options for free. Every single theme, font in the themes app are paid and that is so bad. I tried searching for a solution to this but didn't found anything helpful as it's very new to the market with it's first device.
It'll be very helpful if someone does something about it.
Thanks
