Stock rom rooted - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

There is nothing like that. Closes to it is Andro X. I don't see a problem of old version; Motorola pulled back the OTA update because it caused problems.
You can always flash back stock firmware and root it manually.

[HELP]!!! Moto X stuck in bootloop ( No ROM ) !!

Hey guys, i just got a Moto X Sprint XT1056, i got it from someone, it has been rooted, running on android 4.4.2
My moto x has an front facing camera issue, which the button to switch between the camera disappeared. So, i just try to take the OTA. After finishing download the OTA, i installed it anyway, then it got bootloop, power off every 10 seconds
Then i go to TWRP to factory reset the phone, but ACCIDENTIALLY, i also wipe the system. Then when i want to reboot the phone, it said "NO ROM installed"
I download Nexus Experience rom for moto X, then, i pushed it into internal storage using adb. But when i flashed it, it said failed! NO MD5 file found
What should i do?
Is the bootloader unlocked?
Flash the stock firmware again. Same Android version that was on it or higher. NOT a lower version. If the Ota did flash, then you need to flash that version. Best to anyway really, to be safe.
See the complete moto X guide in the general section, the returning to stock portion of the guide.

[Q] Official Update Related

I have MOTO G2 (XT1068). I have rooted it and even flashed many ROMs on it. Now if official 5.1 update comes from Motorola and if I revert back to pure stock(one without any customisations) then will I be able to get that update or I have to wait for someone to release it on XDA . I don't know about this things that's why I am asking.
Thanks in advanced.
You can grab the update image and fla**** with fastboot this wipes everything.
Unroot remove all customizations an see if you get the ota, you won't lose any data.
or wait for someone to upload an update zip for recovery
Thanks:thumbup:

In order to take an OFFICIAL OTA you must have an unmodified system, original unmodded kernel, original recovery and not be rooted, no xposed or any other changes.... aka PURE stock unrooted. If your update isnt taking chances are you have made changes to one of the above. Google how to go back to pure stock
I have the same problem, my phone is only unlocked, no root or system mod or other trick; the phone download the ota then reboot, but after an error message it reboot again and I have the same message (in english Language).

Moto G XT1063- Need To Flash Stock Recovery To Do OTA Update

Back to stock recovery, help!
Hi, need help with my beloved Moto G (XT 1063). I rooted it, installed custom recovery and image and used it for months like that, two days ago went back to stock (restored from nandroid backup) and got a message about the new OTA update, download it but TWRP cannot install it, the phone just turns off again and again. Restored it once more, but this time did not give it a go to update. My question is, is it possible to flash just the original recovery (for Lollipop) and how in order to update the phone, or is it possible to stop the phone warning me about the new software being available all the time (so annoying). Thanks for any input.
Same here. My wife just got a new Zenfone 2, so I'm giving her Moto G 2014, XT1063 to my daughter.
I want to get it back to stock so it can get all the updates.
It currently has TWRP installed and is rooted.
Every single link I've found here in the XDA forum for the stock firmware for this phone is dead. The links all say they were pulled because of TOS violations.
Anyone have a mirror? Or are there any flashable zips that work with TWRP to get this phone current?

For me the links are working but I know that Mega isn't allowed in all countries.
If you want to download with your mobile you need the Mega app, on your PC it can be done with the browser.
Choose the right firmware for your phone, extract the recovery.img and flash it.
Use the full unroot function of the superSU.

XT1068 boots into TWRP (can boot into OS using bootloader)

Hi all,
Let me start off by saying hello. I just joined these forums, and sadly I already have to bother you with an issue. Hopefully you can help me.
Recently, I decided to unlock the bootloader of my Moto G 2014 and install CM12.1. Sadly, Cyanogenmod stopped working after I installed Google Apps (from OpenGApps).
I then installed stock Marshmallow, using this tutorial. It got stuck on the boot animation.
Finally, I installed the stock Lollipop 5.0.2 firmware (the version I came from). It works now, but everytime I power the device up, it boots straight into TWRP. I can boot it normally using the bootloader, though. Also, when I try to lock the bootloader again, it won't boot at all (probably because I have TWRP on it).
This isn't an issue for me, but I upgraded to a Nexus 5X yesterday, and I'm giving my Moto G to my little sister, who is currently using a Nokia Lumia 635. I want the device to function as it should before I give it to her. Therefore, I'd like to do a complete wipe of my phone, and install the stock firmware, just like it was before I unlocked the bootloader. I could use some help with it.
My main concern is the fact that it boots into TWRP. Is there any way to fix this? Can I install the normal recovery mode again?
As for the firmware I was using, it was Android 5.0.2:
System version: 22.21.28.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03
Kernel version: 3.4.42-g48d3b85
Build number: LXB22.46-28
I can provide additional info, as I do have the stock ROM installed atm.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I do also have SuperSU installed on the phone, but it says there is 'no SU binary installed'. It seems something went wrong there as well. Not too bothered by it, as I don't want it rooted, but I figured it was worth mentioning.
