Has anyone determined if the SU660 ICS has On The Go/OTG USB Host mode and/or Android Open Accessory/AOA enabled?
If you have tested that capability, please post your discoveries in this thread.
Wouldn't it be a better idea to ask in the SU660 forum instead of the P990?

That page frame for the information about OTG on the Korean O2X website won't show in my browser, it stops with a hand that has a star on it showing up for a few seconds because it requires pop-ups to be allowed. After I allowed pop-ups, it requires sign in which I can't do because I'm not a member.
To be able to use otg in o2x you need external source of power to be able to use this feature but there is no guarantee if this will work because i read (i cant remember where) that even there is external power source its hard to make it work

I know that but it is easy to use an external usb hub or a cell phone charger with a usb port to plug in a usb cable to supply power. Google realized that OTG drains the battery too much and that phone manufacturers don't want to do anything that will reduce how long a phone runs on a battery so it implemented a different method, Android Open Accessory (AOA), of interfacing Android phones to usb devices so that the connected usb device is required to supply power, not the phone. AOA was first implemented with Android 2.3.4 but it has to have a newer kernel than the one used in the stock O2X/G2X/SU660 Gingerbread kernel that included the change but LG didn't update the kernel. I've been researching adding that capability to the LG kernel but, since I am not an Android firmware programmer, I am looking for information about how it has been successfully done, such as using ADB to push the required libraries, etc. but so far no luck.

Oops, sorry about that. I thought it was an open forum.
Basically, there was a user with the official V30c firmware and asked about OTG on his/her O2X. The included kernel apparently didn't support it.

That's unfortunate. I am looking into adding at least Android Open Accessory (AOA) to a kernel but, although I have lots of experience with programming, I have to learn how to do it. I am going to wait until CM10 comes out first.
Hi everyone.
After i flashed v20B, i removed some system apps with TB, then i've frozen some more.
Everything went ok for some months, but now that i've bought an usb powered mhl-to-hdmi adapter, i cannot obtain any image in my ldc tv.
I think i removed some lg apk needed to manage that mhl out signal...
Can anyone help me?

You sure the mhl adapter is for our phone? There are some for some phones and another tipe of mhl to sgs III for example, with different pins. You sure you bought the right one?

dont know. personally the maximum time i spent on the stock rom was only 1 day when i bought the phone
on the other side all the other custom roms i have tested , almost all of them had an option for hdmi display.
if someone more expert knows if its an apk fault , he will tell u as soon as he will see the thread. but from little experience i have i believe its from kernel support

check this video. taken from other thread where they talk about this miracast.
In this video we can see a stock lg p880 sending hdmi signal through mhl to hdmi cable, just like mine (different brand, but very similar)

your best bet is to either reflash the kdz, or download zaiben rom and check for apk you might be missing by adding those found in system/app subfolder of the zip file till you find the right one. good luck.

I'm downloading Zaiben 20B based ROM now to compare system folder content.
To reflash kdz, its better not to use the PC Suite hack mode, am i right? Cause it will update on top of my current setup, isn't it?

---------- Post added at 05:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:17 PM ----------
the manual method is when u cant open the phone to pc sync so u use the usb driver and force in the rom
ok, i flashed v20b again and still no luck, Could it be from the adapter not compatible with o4x?

No. The chipsets are different. L90 is msm8226 while L70 is msm8926.

Hello all, I've just downloaded a firmware file for my moto g xt1063 (RETUGLB_XT1063_4.4.4_KXB21.85-17_cid9_CFC.xml.zip) from motofirmware.com, and was wondering if there is a tool like Odin for Samsung devices to flash it to my phone? Otherwise, what's the most common or safest method used?
Thanks.
