Hello everybody
I have a Sony Xperia T, and when I got tired of the stock ROM (JB 4.1.2), updated with PC Companion to 4.3, and everything started to go wrong. While daily use, the screen sometimes turned blue and afterwards the phone rebooted. This happened approximately once a week.
Less frequently, the phone shut down and I couldn't turn it on tipically by holding power button for few seconds. Otherwise, I had to press volume up + power keys until first vibration (I read this simulates battery removal) in order to start my phone.
I thought it might be due to the new ROM, so I flashed CM 10.2, but I had the same problem. Recently, I tried with PACMAN ROM (my current firmware), but it could not solve the problem neither.
Few weeks ago I read that this bug might be a kernel issue, but I'm not quite sure. Do you have any idea about what happens? Flashing a new kernel would end the problem? In that case, which one do you recommend? My phone is rooted, bootloader unlocked and CWM v 6.04.
Thanks you all for your time :fingers-crossed:
P.D.: I attach a screenshot with kernel, build, android version...
i dont know why someone would try out pac rom, a rom without a good forum thread support. a rom which seems dead for our phone?
about cyanogenmod, i not use it...so i just can guess: maybe they still not use the new sony 4.3 kernel source...that could be a reason for bluescreens (same pac rom)?
so you have this options:
omnirom official nightlies by tilal6991
omnirom homebuilds by scanno
latest paranoid android by tilal6991
plain AOSP by Rimmer1966
these use new kernel source, no bluescreens, good user experience, daily driver material.
try out and become happy...
you can find them in xperia T forum, just look around
edit:
why you have android version 4.2.2? is that a bug? build date 1.aug 2013?
we have already awesome kitkat (android 4.4.2) roms (list above)^^

First of all, thank you for your quick reply, I'll take it account
The reason why I tried with CM10.2 and Pacman ROM is that they are not nightlies. I don't totally rely on nightiles because of the many bugs ther're reported. Anyway, I'll try with some of the ROMs above.
Finally, I would like to know if I coud stay with my current ROM and solve my problem only by flashing a new kernel.
Thank you again ^^
you dont rely on nightlies? wrong decision regarding omnirom, all on my above list is daily driver material (even the nightlies)
easy Kernelchange and keep this outdated pac rom with 4.2.2? NO!
its that simple. there is no reason to use such an outdated custom rom, no reason!
Ok, I refused to change kernel, and flashed the third one of the list: "latest paranoid android by tilal6991" (I liked a review about it). However, the problem persists :crying: And that's a pity, because I love how the new ROM looks like
Take a look to the new screenshot of "About phone". The kernel version seems to be different to the one of the last cap. Any idea?
Thanks in advance!

So no need to flash kernel or other things, just have to access recovery and flash this one?
My battery seems poor, do not know if depends from firmware or just have to change phone lol.
Any reviews about battery life? Thanks a lot
Great job!
Just installed, no problems occurred yet.
What about OTA updates? Or do we have just flash new version of zip over current, if this will be available?
Keep up!
Please post any known bugs!
Is there a mem drain like CM11 after a day of more? Thanks

Battery life is pretty good for me (I will make a screenshot later- loaded it fully few hours ago)
Gonna try this out. Wondering how it compares to stock, which is really good.
Edit: performance is great! The only I can't get to work is the camera and gallery displaying pictures taken, even older ones.
I'll report back with idle drain later.
Edit 2: Idle drain so far seems just fine to me, although the camera is still an issue. It will snap a picture, freeze, and not save that picture. I could be wrong, but I think it has to with the fact that its saving them to /sdcard/DCIM instead of /emulated/0/
Edit 3: Camera fix as a standalone app for those interested: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.sdfix&hl=en
Torch does not seem to be working. Besides that it works great. Hopefully this one doesn't have the RAM bug like the others do.
EDIT: A lot of issues. I can't send messages in any messaging app, I get random slow downs that become beyond usable laggy. I don't even know if I've gotten any phone calls currently as I'm not sure if calling is working either.
Guess its back to stock I go.

Were your photos stored on the phone or SD card? Also is that the default Motorola Camera app?

With the app fix they're on my external sd card now, and it's the one included with the rom - cm camera. I tried to install the moto camera from my stock rom but it won't accept the install (didn't try any xposed modules to fix that either)
Battery test: Really nice! I was at school, work, and asleep for a good portion of this but I stopped keeping track when I hit 33% to charge it back up for the gym.
If I didn't go on reddit loading a bunch of gifs I could have probably hit 3-4 hours of screen on time nearing 2 days and no charge.
Brightness is kept at 30% always.
I tried this ROM, it's a mess, at first boot TTS Engine and Configuration Assistant crashed, unable to configure the phone correctly. Tried a wipe data/cache after ROM installation, same problem.

Really? I had 0 problems other the camera issue. The battery is quite good but I switched to carbon for the time being until that gets resolved.

thanks dude if developers gone start this rom for dual sim its will nice thanks for the developers
i thought its cm11 base so it should work on xt1033
Update, aw yeahh
EDIT- Since I've flashed I've noticed:
Performance is great, as it was before.
RAM bug seen in other ROMs isn't here, which is a good thing.
Camera still freezes, but I know that's a CM bug.
Is there a AOSPA version of Lungo for Peregrine?
Edit 2:
Solve your camera freezing and use CameraNext
Tried some roms (carbon, aosb, stock modified) and this is best so far thank you for this great rom works smooth and good !
I'm running this ROM for about 6 hours and I already can say that this is the best ROM. Smooth and small, perfect! Thanks for bring this ROM to our peregrine.
I'm trying to decipher the changelog. Does it say that the camera freezing issue was fixed in this nightly?
Hi guys,
I successfully built CM12 off the official cyanogenmod source. All of dhackers builds in the past have thrown status 1 errors on our phone, so this is the closest thing to official cyanogenmod lollipop we have at the moment.
All credit goes to dhacker29 and the rest of the razrqcom / cyanogen dev team. All I did was set up a build environment and built straight from the source. I used no hacks, tweaks or mods to get this to build.
I'll try to build new builds occasionally, but I'm pretty busy so can't commit to making regular nightlies or anything.
Code:
[B]Instructions:[/B]
Download the latest zip (cm-12-*-UNOFFICIAL-mb886.zip) to your phone.
Boot to recovery.
Remember to make a Nandroid backup!
Format /system. (Some recoveries have this as "Wipe Data/Factory Reset > Clean to Install a New ROM") (You can try doing a "dirty flash" without formatting system but I don't recommend it)
Install the ROM (install zip from...).
Install gapps (install zip from...).
Wipe data/cache
Reboot.
First boot can take some time due to ART in lollipop.

thanks for the rom.. will try it out and post feedback
Any known bugs?
Dirty updated from Miiju CM12 and seems to work fine. The ROM is smooth and solid. Reboot time is noticable longer than on Mijuu's build, maybe connected with the new bootscreen. Haven't noticed any bugs yet. Thanks for the great job.
PS. The new CM bootscreen is ugly  - imho of course. However, previous wasn't the masterpiece too .
Does this have the new theme engine? Good job bro you should maintain cm12 and let dhacker know.
Really laggy and random reboots
I made a clean flash of this build. It was smooth for first 30 to 40 seconds after that **** laggy and rebooted twice in 20 minutes.. i also experiences screen tearing. bugs are same as that of other builds though.
Great! I will try it tonight and report back. Thanks!

Theme engine implemented and works!
As far as being device maintainer, I'm definitely open to it but I'm not sure if I'm qualified enough to do it. If there were functional problems and things that break I don't really think I have the knowledge to fix those... All I really did here was follow some build guides and build this. But if you think that's all I need, I'll definitely consider it.

Aingaran I've also experienced some occasional reboots and force closes of google play services. Not so much the lag though. However, the rom seem significantly smoother if you use Launcher3 instead of Google Now launcher from my limited experience so far.

Nice job with the build, Im going to flash this thing tonight and report whats happening with this rom
Thank you for doing this for us.
Edit: Clean flashed rom without gapps: smooth as it should be, seems noticeably faster than LS
Now with Banks gapps: Still as fast with no random reboots yet. Looking great so far. I wonder if the bugs are gapps related for some of you people then.
Antutu benchmark for mb886: 19544, thats as fast as mijuus cm12, great job man.
Bugs: Chromecast cannot mirror, its the same OMX-720p error from log cat, its now a bug with dhackers builds. Mijuus doesnt have that at all, probably a hack . Im maybe wrong it could go away on its own. But its something to do with that which is causing the AvSource to fail with this error: w/err = -38
Overall this rom is as stable as it can be, there isn't any other bug I could find but that one, I did try mirror enabler for the previous one, it didn't affect anything. Speedy fast and simplistic, great job on this first build. Keeping that one as a daily driver until then.
Good job!
Thank you! :good:

Great feedback, thank you. I experienced the same thing- super stable without gapps. Might try flashing again with banks gapps.
If anyone wants to try out the CM recovery I built based on the latest source, here it is. I haven't tried it out yet since I'm happy with the philz touch build I have, but if you do flash it let me know how it works.

Try it with Banks, it makes your rom the way it is. I haven't even ran into a crash, I pushed this device pretty hard and its still not rebooting, came close though.
As for the future builds of this rom, maybe the problem will go away as time goes on, idk but I think I found a way around it.
Wow a cm recovery, but im happy for my philz but sooner or later this recovery will be needed to flash newer roms. Blisspop from droidrazr requires this recovery for some odd reason.
Plus its late for me anyway.
Great job on this rom and the recovery Thank you.:good:
Awesome, Thanks!
@helloha1 - Thanks for the build , It's really smooth :good: keep up the good work , Thanks to dev that helped to make this build i was tired of getting bootloops (blisspop & vanir) and otherdevs (laggy) builds ...
You really made my day

users facing bugs probably because of CyanogenMod12

As far as battery life, not sure. I used the phone all day today from about 10 to 9 and was at around 40% at the end of the day. Granted, I have an upgraded EB40 battery.

I would be happy if the dev focuses more in stability in this version rather than working on more recent updates. Believe me or not, this device isn't really capable in working smoothly above KitKat anymore actually. It's just too old and weak to run smoothly on newer firmwares. You can see why I stopped my RR development, I totally lost my passion in doing it anymore. What's the point of doing it when it cant even run smoothly on it with lags time by time. If I have time, I might learn building a kernel for this build. All I want is performance and stability rather than having more recent updates but with crappy memory management and laggy UI.
Once again, thanks to the dev for this build.

I tried, on the first 3 days, it works extremely fine. Slowly, the lag increases, yesterday it was lagging so much that I have no choice but to switch to this rom. It's not even my primary device and I got only messenger and gapps installed. Let's see how it goes. =)
Ok, i try this rom , wait kernel from you.
I don't intend on releasing any ROMs or kernels of my own. I only built this ROM so I could keep on using CM 10.2 but have the stagefright vulnerability fixed. You can get decent kernels from other topics in this forum. I may accept patches to fix other bugs or security issues but I'm not intending this to be a long-term project.

I have the same problem, on both my I9100 and my I9100G. Whenever free memory drops below 100 MB, the system becomes so sluggish that it is painful to use. Freeing memory helps but fills up too fast again. I think android needs 2 GB of RAM to run properly, which our devices don't have.

What is different about this build from other Omnirom 5.1 vibrant builds?

Thanks for the awesome work and building omni rom for vibrant. The rom itself is fast and smooth while having no bugs. The one thing which makes this rom different from the omni rom is the new kernel coldwindofnowhere added which contain many new features such as governors like smartass v2, battery life extender, fast charge, big memory support and toggle in advanced menu. Also this was possibly compiled with the newest source code. This rom is very well worth a try because its a master piece and your kernel is like icing on the cake. Thanks for your support an keep up the good work:good::good:
I'm trying to come from Slimkat but I get a status 7 installation aborted error message when trying to flash. Any advice?

Try both TWRP or CWM because i had no problem. However, i was already in android lollipop while flashing this rom so just try flashing a lollipop rom which works on your device such as code rom to get to the latest TWRP then try

If you get status 7 error, dont worry flash again if its still there navigate to reboot to recovery and flash rom.zip again. Done
Thanks for the advice guys. Rebooting recovery and flashing again still didn't work. I used cm11 kernel to go back to a slightly older version of CWM and it worked but after i booted up I was getting reboots constantly. It took me several tries just to get through the setup wizard. The reboot problem started getting better over time but it was still going on so I clocked the kernel back down to 1000Mhz and haven't had any more reboots yet but the phone has a little lag now. It was super smooth at 1400Mhz. It's still an awesome rom. This is my first time trying a Lollipop rom and so far it is my favorite rom of all time for this device. Thanks for the build OP.
The only real issue I'm having right now is I can't download anything. The wifi and network data work fine but when I try to download an app from the play store it starts but then I get an error message (can't download app error code:491). I thought I would try another gapps from the browser but when I try to download the zip it starts to download but stays at zero percent.
Any advice for me on the downloads problem? Or how I can overclock without getting the reboots?

You can try this gapps https://mega.nz/#F!G0QXXRAC!pZ063qCaa5lxdD73SarU6Q
I don't think Gapps is the problem for me. I wiped and reflashed the rom this time with no gapps and the downloads from the browser still don't work. I tried to download things from several different sources and everything stays at zero percent.
Another thing I am trying to get working is swype on the keyboard. Is that something that does not work on vibrant lollipop roms or is it working for everyone else.

No it's a bug present on all LP roms i know, you can still you an alternative keyboard to get around this issue
Ok, thanks. I got the google keyboard off play store. It's the same keyboard and it functions just fine. I fixed the download problem by flashing a different omni lollipop rom, testing to make sure download was working then doing a dirty flash back to this rom. Works great and I think I found a new daily driver. Thanks Coldwindofnowhere.
Edit: One other thing I forgot to mention, I can't get TWRP to flash anything. It always fails. For some reason I can only get it to flash a kernel so I have to flash my CM11 kernel and reboot recovery to get into CWM then reflash the rom and gapps. This problem was present when I flashed the other version of Omni Lollipop also. Not a huge problem for me. I will just keep my CM11 kernel in the downloads folder and use that any time I need to flash something.

Um i don't have this issue on my Galaxy , maybe it's Vibrant related ... honestly i don't know. Can you give a screenshot or just tell me what error it shows when you flash something ?
New build coming soon, it will be up in a few hours. It includes the latest omni source, my latest kernel (@rosco77 i'm pretty sure your TWRP issue will be gone) and a new toolchain. I will update the link in the OP.
Links in the OP updated !
