unchecked from account setting and from general setting... still there

Have you tried this and do you have any apps on your phone that can connect to facebook for push notifications?
How do I turn push notifications on or off from mobile?
You can turn push notifications on or off from your Facebook app or the settings on your phone or mobile device.
Android
If you want to get push notifications, first turn them on from your phone's settings. Then turn on push notifications from your Facebook app:
Tap and then scroll to the bottom of the menu
Tap Account Settings > Notifications > Mobile Push
Check the things you want to be notified about or un-check the things you don't want to be notified about

Touchpad not getting app notifications (FB, Hangouts etc) on CM 10.1

I'm using the latest cm-10.1-20130730-UNOFFICIAL-tenderloin and it was freshly installed on a brand new touchpad (i had one sitting in a box for ages(
However, with everything working on it, i find that the notifications don't seem to work.
for eg, i don't get notifications when i get a new fb message or a google hangouts message.
i have to open the app and manually refresh it for it to get the new data.
any ideas on what i can do?

I would go into Settings and take a look at the Accounts. Verify sync is on for the accounts in question.
Could also go into the Apps area as well. I believe there is a show notifications box that you can check
for the two apps.

show notifications is ticked on for both apps already.
it seems that when it's in the lock screen nothing comes through, but when i unlock it, i get a mass of notifications all at once.
almost seems like it's blocking data when the screen is locked but i can't find any power profiles etc to fix this...
any ideas?

Alot of devices and ROMS will have Wifi turn off while sleeping to avoid battery drain.
Go into Advanced settings for Wi-fi and adjust the Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep setting.

If you create an account in the stock Email app to channel all Gmails though it, you can see the content of the Gmails.

Which sucks. I look forward to being able to push all Google notifications straight from the apps.

Did you even go through the gear manager app? it seriously sounds like you spent no time with this device. Not all notifications are enabled by default (a good thing) Did you actually set up the stock email app with gmail or are you still only using the normal Gmail app.

Does the gear only work with the stock messaging app?

I was trying different text apps today and it appears after installing them I stopped getting text notifications on my gear. So I assume the gear requires the stock messaging app to receive the message son the gear?

Unfortunately, that is correct.
I have always used & loved Handcent, but I realized pretty quickly that using Handcent disables all text notifications on the watch

Yeah I tried textra again, but still can't get mms to work on it, so I went back to handcent. Thats a bummer, but the stock app has very little customization
Appears So
Yes, it appears you are correct. I use the Facebook Messanger app for SMS and it doesn't work. Really unfortunate.

It works happily alongside Tablet Talk. Tablet Talk and my Gear are both connected via bluetooth to my phone. Any time I get a text, it goes to both my Gear and my Tablet just fine.
Darn!!! Took the wind out my question. I use handcent as well it has so many nice functional customizations I cannot go to the default messaging. Could any form of rooting the device open the door up for this or is it the app?

I tried using Tablet Talk 1.75 and it keeps craching on the Gear. What version are you using??? Thanks.
Go SMS works
I have Go SMS working... Go SMS is controlling the vibrate (so I can use custom vibration patterns), and I have it controlling the LED (change color and blink rate). Also when I press the "show on device" button on the Gear, it goes straight to Go SMS, not the stock messaging.
This is what I did...
I uninstalled Go SMS (I'm not sure if this is necessary), and reinstalled.
In the Go SMS :
In the "Notification Settings":
Enable Notifications --> checked.
In the Defualt notification settings:
Vibrate --> checked.
Blink LED -- checked.
In the "Other setting" menu:
Disable other message notification -- Un-checked
In the stock messaging app:
Under "More" tab:
Notifications --> checked
Select ringtone -- > set to "silent"
Vibrate --> Un-checked
Preview message --> checked.
Open the Application manager in the settings of the phone:
Swipe over to the "ALL" tab, and scroll down until you find the "Messages" app. Un-check "show notifications" This will prevent double notifications in the panel.
This should do it. When I received a text, the first time I clicked "show on device", the option popped up on the phone to select the default program between Go SMS and stock messaging. I clicked Go SMS, and set to "Always". Now it opens up Go SMS everytime.
Hope this helps some of you!
but your method only give you notification that you receive message but doesn't show any message content right?
What I need is able to read text message on gear just like the stock messaging app is. I miss using textra.

It works with my version as well, 1.9.4 but I just had some issues getting it to work after the latest gear manager update. Basically had to switch it to wifi and back to bletooth before it reconnected and was working again.

Using my method, the stock messaging app is still pushing the notifications to the gear (not Go SMS), so they come up the same, and you can read the message content, no problem.

Use ATN Manager 1.2.2
That seems to work with most apps that send notifications.
using it with Chomp SMS and it works great.

I tried ATN and it didn't work for me at all. Posted in the thread for it, but no help as of yet.
I followed the instructions, installed the app, checked the box under security/notifications, selected the apps I wanted, most notably is textra. I sent myself several texts, as well as an email from my girlfriends phone and I did not get one notification on the watch

I didn't want to use Gosms, but for now it seems like the best bet. This worked perfectly for me. Thanks for the detailed breakdown

Try Gear Getter. It won't send notification to watch if screen is on though

notifications

Hi, is there a way to get notifications on the screen (like Iphone) in windows mobile?
thanks
At this point in time, you can go to the Settings app -> lock screen. Under notifications, click on the drop down and choose an app to show the notifications for.
You can choose to use Messaging, one of your e-mail accounts, and any app that supports notifications. You can only choose ONE though.
Normally, you will have notification without any issues.
There is some problems with WhatsApp and facebook (non-beta) also, otherwise everything will go smooth.

[Q] notification issues in P7

Why I am not getting what's app message notification when what's app is not open?. Only I get the message notifications when whatsapp is opened. Also the new message notification is not shown in the whatsapp icon. The same issue in the gmail also. New message notifications are not shown in the app icons of all the applications even for Facebook and messager
you might want to check in the secured applications if Whatsapp and Gmail are checked or not, if not, check them and it should work.
you can also download and install Push Notifications Fixer which for me, solved the problem of the delayed notifications

Also I installed push notifications fixer and is solving the problem . Kindly let me know any other option to set it right. I didn't face this problem in p6. Does the firmware of p6 B 512 work in p7-L10 ?? If works then I will use it.QUOTE=PrimuSSaintS;55299737]you might want to check in the secured applications if Whatsapp and Gmail are checked or not, if not, check them and it should work.
