[Q] No SMS Notification AT ALL - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently deleted my old SMS app, GoSMS, and wanted to switch back to the default Messages app. However, after deleting GoSMS and setting the messsages app as the default sms application, I stopped getting any notification of SMS messages, both on the lock screen and status bar. My phone doesn't even vibrate when aanew message is received. If I'm using my phone when I receive a text it says "The Messages app crashed" so I know I got a text, but no notification of the text at all. PLEASE HELP.

Chomps SMS popup delayed ....very very inritatiing

I have rooted my phone and updated all my apps....i think tht no led is causing it to delay the chomp sms popup.
What happens is i receive a txt message, i see the no led notification and then after pressing home and unlocking screen my homescreen shows no popup but shows text message icon in notification bar.....needless to say the popup comes up an hour later...with OLD text messages as well as a new current received one.....what is the problem here? is it a no led in conjunction with Chomp sms? or a plain chomp sms and root problem? im very confused....
EDIT** have verified this is a No LED problem.... wanting a way to fix this somehow. i just posted in No Led thread also.
DOUBLE EDIT** MODS please delete this thread....have fixed issue thanks.

[Q] how do you set the default sms app in Assonance5.2?

I installed Handcent but when clicked, instead of getting a dialog asking my which app to handle the sms notification, I get a notification from the froyo sms AND handcent
this can be messy during an active sms conversation
You need to go into stock messaging app and disable notifications so you only get them from handcent

[Q] Messages Notification

Hi I noticed that on my IS,eventhough I turn off the received messages notification sound and alert in settings whenever I received new messages it will sound and show messages icon on the status bar.So for intance if U use Go SMS or Handsent eventhough U already disable the stock Messages notification in settings U will still get them ..now twice ,one from the apps(go sms or handsent) and the other from stock messages! This is annoying!Anyone have the same issues? Thanks

[Q] how to disable Text Messaging popup

i got a Bionic and for txt messaging i like to use handcent and on my old Droid 1 i just disabled all the Txt messaging notifications for the default messaging application. but when i tried to do that with my Bionic i cant find the option that lets me turn off the popup feature of the default txt messaging app. i first looked in the settings of the defult app but all i see is the toggle to disable the notification in the status. and i disabled that but i still am getting the popups when people txt me.
can some one help me. were do i go to turn off the txt message popups?
Are you talking about in the notification bar?
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using XDA App
when some one sent me a text it would popup on my screen as well as the status bar i just wanted the status bar only as a notification as well as my ring tone.
but never mind i figured it out for some reason it wasn't holding the popup settings in Handcent so when i disabled the popup in handcent it would just revert back so i thought it was just the factory messenger popping. but i fixed it. problem solved.

Disable SMS Preview

Guys,
When i receive a text message, the contents including the sender is displayed on the status bar as a notification. How can i disable this ??
When i disable the notification from Messaging /settings, It doesn't alert for new incoming messages.
I just wanna stop it from displaying the message on top of my homescreen. .
Thanks a lot in Advance !
Try using an app called GO SMS to handle your text messages instead of the stock app. GO SMS has an option to disable the content preview on the notification bar.
Thanks a lot Mate !
