Hi ! I have rooted my phone.
I installed ROM Manager. Through which I tried to partition SD Card. Instead of creating partition, ROM Manager created the partition in internal memory. All the applications treating new created memory as SD Card. My Actual SD Card is not being used by apps. CARD is of 32 gb. It has still 8 gb left. But still while moving apps to sd card, error comes storage full.
Kindly help me to delete the partition created by ROM Manager.
Any suggestions please ?

I was wondering is their a way to put the rom into internal memory and the apps in the SD? If so how would I partition my SD card to do that?

I don't see how that thread helps..? I just want a partition with the apps not the rom
The rom is always on the internal memory, thats why its the rom. Your phone loads the rom files from the sd card onto your phone.
You have to partition your sd card first, that way your phone/rom knows where to store the apps.
Original question(s) seem to be solved.

First off I have a Galaxy S Captivate and I'm a noob when it comes to the mods on this phone. It is rooted. I bought a 32gb sd card and wanted to partition into two partitions. I did some searching and found this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=543985. It worked great, but it didn't modify the ext sd card. It partitioned the internal card instead. Now instead of seeing the 16gb internal I'm seeing 13gb.
Question is, is there an easy way to 'undo' this without loosing everything and actually partition the external card?
Thanks in advance,
~jesse
The internal /sdcard partition should only have around 13gb. The entire phone has 16gb this includes all the system partitions and a 2gb partition in /data for user apps.
Okay so it repartitioned the internal storage. Is there a way to point it to the external to partition it? I'm wanting to move the apps to the sd to free up space. Sorry for the dumb questions...
You can't install an app in an external sd.
You can move apps from /data/app, which has the 2gb capacity, to a folder in /sdcard with native froyo software.
Settings>applications> manage applications>"the app you want"> move to sd.

What filesystem is on your 2nd partition of the SD card? Make sure you select the correct filesystem in Link2SD when you create the mount script.
Mount the 2nd partition of your SD Card and transfer a file to it to make sure its been set up properly then delete the file.
Try repartitioning the SD card with ClockWorkMod Recovery, it does a better job of partitioning and creating filesystems on flash memory than partitioning tools meant for rotating storage.
Repartition using a different filesystem, when I setup Link2SD the only one that I could get to work was FAT32 but since you have the Razodroid ROM which includes Rafael's kernel I would have thought any FAT or ext filesystem would have worked. Incidentally before I got it working I was getting a similar error regarding "Mount script cannot be created" IIRC.
Hi i used ext4, but i just can make a link , when i check the capacity show me 200Mb total memory

So it's working then or not?
Link2SD works by basically fooling Android into believing an app is on internal memory when its on the SD card. It does this by moving files to the SD card and then creating a link to them in internal memory. So you won't see an increase in internal memory capacity by using Link2SD. However when you link an app with Link2SD you will free up space in the internal memory which allows you to install far more apps.
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955422
, but read carefuly the instructions !!!

RazoDroid v2.5 build version has had Link2SD removed i assume this was done for a reason as its a popular app, it might be worth checking out the thread to see if they mention why. Just a thought have you checked to make sure that both Partitions are primary?

hi all!!
i have xperia sp 8 gb!! installing few app takes lot of space .. with the new feature in marshmallow (installed cm13)
where we can use sd card as internal memory and move app + whole data. however if we use that function the data is encrypted and we cant flash anything using twrp or even cant install the updates.
so i wanted to create a partition where 25-50% can be used as internal and rest as portable!!
i have tried to create partition using TWRP .. result failed.. nothing really happened ,, tried both ext3/ext4 and after reboot the sd card detected has to be used either as portable or internal
then i tries app2sd and link2sd both are again not able to create partition.
app2sd has option to create adoptable storage which it actually created and i could see 25% as internal and 75% as external however when i tried to move app it was just like move to sd card.. where app was moved to adoptable storage and data still remains in internal memory!!
anyone can please help... in short i want to use my sd card both as internal and external storage!!
internal : to move big apps with data
external : so that i can flash apps/ install updates!!
thanks in advance

Hmmm, I tried that but It doesn't works like internal memory :/
I want app installed on my SD card
Same issue here... I tried this :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/p8-lite-2017-discussion/how-to-extend-storage-using-sd-card-t3614396
but, if the sd card is shown as internal storage after, I still have the issue... the system thought that I have no mor place on internal memory...

Hi there.
After you make your SD card as adoptable storage, you have to go back to the Storage options and choose Move Data.
This will transfer all possible data from original internal phone storage to the new internal SD card storage.
Also have a good look at this awesome adoptable storage tool which enables you to create 2 partitions on the SD card, one for adoptable internal storage and the other partition for normal SD external storage allowing you as normal to use it to store music, pictures, videos, etc.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/auto-formatting-sdcard-to-internal-t3583875/page23
Alternatively if you are a root user, have a look at this amazing app which will allow you to link nearly all apps to your SD card and therefore free up most of your internal phone storage.
I personally bought the Pro version from Google Play because it is that good!

Enjoy!

If you have rooted phone you could partition your sd-card to ext4 and fat32(this partition works as normal memory card).
Then you could download app like Apps2sd or link2sd and link(move) apps into the ext4 partition of the sd-card.

Download Apps2sd https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.co.pricealert.apps2sd&hl=en
1. select link apps
2. Create mount script
3. Reboot
4. Link apps to sd card
Also 30GB is probably way more than you would need. Probably 2-10GB would be enough.
ok so it is better to use 10 gb for the ext4 ?
i have some question only one partition will be shown in the settings is it right ? alsow i have some trouble how i formate correc.t i have usen mini partition have made partition with fat32 and one with ext4
but when i look at apps2sd formating tool there will be 3 partitions created. one partition have name SWAP Partition. Do i need this ?
and is this tool : https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/auto-formatting-sdcard-to-internal-t3583875/page23
agood way to formate ? or is my way with mini partition manager alsow good ?
and with mini partiton manager i made all partitions as primary is it okay ?
i have used this tool https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/auto-formatting-sdcard-to-internal-t3583875 then 2 partitions will be shown but not with the correct size ii habe a 64 gb sd card but my smartphone shows 40 gb and 35 gb Oo
