[Q] My G11's camera doesn't work !

I have tried many Rom before , but still doesn't work !
when i turn on the camera , it into the black screen and back to the home screen
anyone can help?

Mine does that when I try to take a panorama sometimes. When I reboot the phone, camera apply returns to normal.
Also, have you done a wipe of cashe/data/dalvik?
what rom are you on?

now , my Rom is RunnyDroid v2.1 By PVTeam(download from xda too)

Perhaps you should send it back to HTC for inspection.As it is already malfunction when you are in stock Rom and even custom one.

[DEV] ROM 4.1.2 with Sony camera fully working

Dear all dev, I am only a user but I have flashed and test many ROM in my arc day by day. One time, I have flashed a Rom 4.1.2 in this forum, it used 4.2 camera and all 4.2 camera feature ( gallery, app camera with function call " photo sphere" ) like this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1965486, in that time I try flash
[MOD][ICS] Camera Mod v.4.1 Cybershot Experience in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1918744 and I have a fully working camera sony in 4.1.2 ROM, I can take a picture with it, I also use 4.2 camera too but the ROM is daily used so I back to ICS mod ROM. I dont remember the name of Rom. I think we will have a ROM 4.1.2 with sony camera app full working in condition:
- This 4.1.2 ROM have to remove all camera app and feature ( gallery, app, lib,....) (CM10 camera or any camera)
- Ported full 4.2 camera with all feature (gallery, lib, etc...)
It mean the rom only used 4.2 camera. After flash this rom, booted one time and setup all (google acount, ...). Reset to recovery and flash [MOD][ICS] Camera Mod v.4.1 Cybershot Experience

it's great if you remember the name.. so the SemcCamera.apk is fully working on CM10? how about HD video recording? is it smooth?

I dont remember all, I just take some picture and It worked, sometimes I have FC but rarely. I am not a dev but I am sure

Hey man, if it is really working, why fxp didn't notice that?
Maybe the rom you tried is jelly sandwich ,
It shows only android 4.1.2 in about phone but still it is based on
Official ics by sony

As I said, I have test many ROM on my arc day by day, I am sure it is 4.1.2 ROM, I know android version when I flash and test, I neednt look in setting to said about the version.Dont think everyone is amateur. I think many dev here can see my ideas, fxp maybe havent try my method yet

Sorry, It's not a daily used ROM, sometimes it had FC problem so I return to other 587 cooked ROM but I remember all when I flash this ROM

Maybe it's just some copying of libs

[Q] Questions about CyanVivo X Reborn

Hello guys.
I'm a newbie, i've incredible S rooted and s-off with original gingerbread 2.3.3 and sense 2.1.
I want to install CyanVivo X Reborn rom but i have read that "If your phone unlocked by HTCDev.com, you may have to flash the boot.img manually"...what means? I've a rooted and s-off phone, really I have to flash first "boot.img" or it isn't necessary for me?
Second questions: summarizing, what bugs has this rom?

Youre S-OFF. Dont need to flash boot.img

Well I switched because I flashed the latest version but didnt really like it. It wasnt as responsive as before and I couldn't find v1 on my computer (which IMHO was the best). About the bug, yes it is true although it is supposed to be fixed in the latest update (might be touch and go though). As an all rounder daily driver, its probably the better AOSP 4.2.2 out there because 1. AOSP 4.2.2 is virtually down to CyanVivo10.1 and PACman 2. CM10.1 by dla5244 and AOKP have been pretty much stopped and 3. its more stable than PACman (which is pretty much all I need in a ROM). Please keep in mind that battery life will be good to a certain extent. In almost all Android 4.0+ ROMs that i have used, Sense ROMs tend to have the better battery life. I would suggest trying multiple ROMs (Sense or AOSP) to see what you value most in a ROM. From there, you can take a choice to see which u like best. My preference goes to Team Blackout for their Blackout ROM v3.2 (great battery life, stable, and its still got a good number of mods that you can add although it is discontinued for us)

No matter how good the battery life and features, if its prone to crashing here and there, its not really that beast in my opinion :/ (Key work: my opinion)

I use pacman 20.01 so its older version. , but it s best rom 4 ur IncS by my , i ve maybe one small crash ona a week but i ve got best featutres ever < Cyanogen, AOKP, Paranoid>

i need help with my camera
when i first downloaded official jelly bean it was very good
then after that i started changing roms
once i changed it
i found it became very fade and bad that my old phone galaxy fit was better
i tried other apps and other roms
used offical jb/ almost all custom jb / 10.2/10.3/11
but with no use

ROM can't hurt your camera, only if it is bad on your present ROM. But if you go to stock it should be normal. Maybe it is some hardware problem.

Try mackay, nice JB custom rom. But video bug is still der.kinda laggy recording videos though
