My root checker says I have a XT1032 phone. What does this mean? I purchased this phone in 2014. Did I get the latest model for an International GSM phone?
John

Hey folks I recently purchased an AT&T Moto X used and I'm trying to figure out if my phone is on the latest build. I have noticed that all the other Moto X variants have different update dates and such. So for any AT&T Moto X users out there please tell me what's the latest build number for the device. (I am on 129.12.54.ghost) thanks in advance!
* I couldn't find an AT&T specific forum so I posted it in the moto x. Sorry if post is not in right spot.

I have 139.12.54 on my Moto X
Info for root:

If it is 139.12.54.ghost_att.ATT.en.US then it is the updated firmware with the camera fix and the exploit won't work.
If it is 139.9.51.ghost_att.ATT.en.US then you are on the firmware that the phone was shipped with upon release and the exploit will work.

I searched but I didn't received for Indian model of moto x .I tried to root my phone using slap my moto but it didn't work
There is a whole Indian model thread and a reference guide for rooting. Please just search next time.
It makes no difference what area or carrier you're on.... Rooting methods depend on Android version and locked or unlocked bootloader.
Which version should I get from the moto store will be bootloader unlockable? for root and recovery/roms ect? will the US GSM verison work (as I am in the US and like my LTE) or would I have to go with the Global GSM version?
Edit: Just did the research apparently if I am right the US GSM version doesn't support LTE either so I guess the best bet is to go with the GLOBAL GSM? anyone confirm?
Thanks in advance
Buy anything unlocked, so you don't need to carrier unlock as well.

Does the "Global GSM" support LTE.?
Research before you order..I'm hoping for a US LTE version release soon..I have the XT1064 US model 3G only..
I do own two XT1045's which is the 1st Gen. Moto G LTE..adore them, but the larger screen and front firing speakers is exactly what I would have added..the 2nd Gen is the perfect model for me..when LTE model is released..lol

Hi,
I got the Consumer Cellular version of the Moto G even though I use don't use that carrier (I unlocked it). I am wondering how much different it is from getting the one from the company-from moto's website? Also, will I get the OTAs on time, because I am still on 4.4.4. My phone is XT1064 and everyone keeps saying that the android 5.0 is out for XT1064 and XT1063 but when I checked, it said I was at the latest firmware. Sorry if these questions are dumb!

Motorola is releasing the update in batches, which mean your batch didn't get the update yet. If they let all the Moto G 2nd gen users get the update at the same time, chances are that there servers will crash.
Which is probably why they are releasing the update in batches.
BTW don't worry about Android L too much. Your Moto G won't start performing like Moto X when you get the update.
K, thanks
Wifi hotspot is disabled in Consumer Cellular branded Moto G and there is a consumer cellular app installed.
This is all the difference between it and a retail unlocked motto g. It you read through the threads, you can flash the retail rom, and even lollipop on it.
