Does the Pure edition have the same features as the carrier models such as: Moto Voice (touch less control), Moto Display (active display) and Assist?
Yes it does.
Yes it does, unless you consider the bloatware that the carriers install on the phones as "features".
Does bestbuy sell pure edition or just carrier?
Where do you get it?

You have to choose it on Motomaker.

is it a moto maker version or was it purchased from vzw instore/site? you may have to work with moto if it's a moto maker version.
I have a Moto X that I purchased from Best Buy. I have Verizon. the Moto X is not activated. Can the same Moto X I have be activated on a T-Mobile account, can a TMO customer use it?
The short answer is yes. There may be some LTE issues depending on what version of Android is on the device.
There are few threads in the Droid Ultra section on this.

The Motorola site for the respective developer editions says Verizon version support LTE 750Mhz (B13) whereas the T-Mobile version supports LTE 700/AWS/1900MHz (B17/B4/B2). Doesn't seem like the VZW version will support T-Mobile LTE.
Please forgive me if this has been asked before!
I am really wanting to buy the sprint moto x but I'm looking to leave sprint in a few months. I was wondering if I can take the moto x with me to tmobile (I know you can with the nexus 5 but I don't want that)?
Does the moto x for sprint uses a sim card for sprint now like the others?

In short, no you cant
It doesn't have the LTE bands for T-Mobile, and the GSM frequencies are disabled by firmware and the SIM lock (LTE is SIM based, but it only works on Sprint's band 25 network).
Now my bootloader is unlocked, I am looking for Roms to flash. I have an xt1058 Att variant.
I've see a label ghost, moto-8960, and moto-8960dt. Which one works for my phone?

Roms that are stated to be compatible with your Moto X model? The ATT Moto X? XT1058?
That's easy enough, but I was wondering about these names. For example, the N5 is hammerhead, N4 is Mako, the N3 was maguro, Crespo, and Toro.
Does the X (gsm) have a name?
