Hi all,
I have an unlocked Xperia Z1 on unbranded software version 14.2.A.0.290, using it in the UK on a 4G network.
When I try to select LTE/4G in the network mode menu, the only options I have are:
WCDMA only
GSM only
WCDMA (Preferred)/GSM
As far as I can see online, I should have this option, as there shouldn't be a carrier block on unbranded firmware.
If anyone has any suggestions on how I can turn 4G on, I would be eternally grateful!
Thanks!
Update to .136 first and check again.
Please.
My Lumia 930 no acess 4G.
I need change 4G only in sysyem, is possible?
try to input ##3282# to access test field, then select settings, select 4G network type. My phone is att 920.

Is there any development about the question ?
... buy a Lumia that supports LTE? My 1520.3 has support for a number of LTE bands, for example. I'm going to go way out on a limb and guess you don't know much about how radio, much less cellular telephony, actually works... Enabling bands is at least a radio firmware change and sometimes a hardware change. It's not something you can do in device software.
On Android devices there is possibility to unlock some bands
also Lumia 640 has all bands (LTE version) and i think there have to be some hack to unlock band if radio has it
On some regions is LTE disabled, but if you flash ROM from other region, you can use it. I tried Indian ROM on my L1520 and no LTE, with French ROM is LTE enabled.

that problem is software level but i am asking different one
on nexus 5 USA version one band (band 3) is locked and if you hack it with field test you get it and use in Europe
i need such hack for lumia
in addition lumia 640 has all LTE bands
and i might think on lumia 635 there have to be any band (band 3 or band 20 ) to get LTE in my Country
And what about different versions of 640/640xl? Some of them have LTE enabled, others don't - is it possible to enable it manually? Someone in forums posted that he could enable LTE on Lumia 525

Hi Guys,
I recently picked up this version of the Huawei P10 from Rogers and unlocked it for use on the Freedom Mobile network here in Ottawa. According to everywhere I've looked, this device supports band 4 LTE, but for some reason it will not connect.
My wifes Google Pixel connects just fine and as it should. It also supports band 4.
Am I missing something here or is there a programming code or something I need to enter to enable all LTE bands or maybe even a modem I need to flash?
Let me know!
Hello everyone,
My friend brought me a Galaxy Note 8 from Korea (SM-N950N) and I'm facing some issues using it in Brazil.
1) My carrier - VIVO - used to work with 4G conection in this very same SIM Card. However, I got only 3G with my Note 8.
Importante info: the seller had the phone carrier-unlocked before selling it. This phone was not new from the box. Someone had used with Korean carrier.
2) Is there a way to know if I'm using any different ROM from stock?
Should I root and flash any other ROM for local use in Brazil?
Any guidance is of great help!
Thank you very much.
You would have to check that your Service Provider uses the same LTE bands that is support on the N950N. As not all LTE bands are support for use on the N950N.
According to frequencycheck.com at this link the SM-N950N should support all the 4G bands. Did you make sure and enter the correct APN settings in Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names? Do you have LTE/3G/2G (auto connect) selected in Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks? You should check those settings first.
