Apps like SwypePad or Fancy slider doesn't work on Mi3. These apps lets us select a part of the screen(the edges) as trigger to switch to their interface. For some reason, this doesn't work on Mi3.
Has anybody else encountered this problem? Can anyone provide a solution for this problem?

Do you have an answer?
You need to give app permission for screen overlay. By getting into app info is one way of giving permission.

Yes. You posted this in Q&A too... Enable floating window then launch the application

It's so annoying seeing 15+ system apps running, although it's nothing compared to TouchWiz !
But yeah disable them using Chef's Freezer, App Quarantine or Titanium.

There's some apps which normally can do this, Autorun Manager, Autostart Manager in ROM Toolbox and few other. Unfortunately none of them works on Xperia ROM. Something in the Sony ROM prevent app from reading receivers.
Edit : started a new thread in XZ section, but looks like nobody care : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212544
I wanted to offer a reward via paypal for the one who find a solution but need people to contribute with me few $ to motivate devs...

i found an app called greenify in the apps store . its for rooted device and it hibernates the app so it wont auto start at boot , but it can only disable user apps not system apps. works good for now.
I've been wondering how to add new shortcuts to this quick launch thing i mean in CM 10.1 they have an option for that in the settings menu.. No Internet search results could be found about this. How come anyone not notice this? Can anyone help me with this.. (My phone is rooted)

1. This is supposed to be in question sub.
2. No, you can't. You need a custom ROM for that. The closest alternative you might get without switching to something else is Sudo QuickLaunch and Home Button Launcher.
Thank you very much... And sorry for posting it in general sub. I didn't know where to post i

hi guys,
sometimes you see a screenshot and you want to know what's that for an app or feature. So I thought to open a thread where you can post these things you can't live without it. I'm interested and searching for new things - so let's post!
So I would start:
For me it's an app called swapps. It's like the @ppbar who's integrated in some custom roms. See the screenshot.
Play Store link.

Not sure it is related to N4...
Anyway this might be interesting but this app you talk about, I don't see the point as you can do it with recent apps or simply go back to home screen?!
(Sorry about negativeness of this comment^^, this is a good idea to discover interesting apps though)

As some of you maybe know you could install the white balance apk to the Xperia Z (before it had been implemented by Sony):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190293
Now I am wondering if there is any possibility to implement the white balance setting on the Xperia Z1, too.
It would be great if someone could help me.
Cheers,
taxi

Sorry for posting my question in the wrong section. Would be great if one of the mods could move the thread....
I order for this to be moved you have to report it. Press the orange triangle in the top right of the post.
I have already done it for this thread.
To answer the question, try installing the apk, it should work

I already tried to install the whitebalance.apk. You then can find the option in the settings menu but if you try to open the white balance settings, you are getting an error only.
Maybe someone else could try it, too? Would be great.

Thanks, great news!!
Anyone who has already installed L, can you post screenshots of the settings to see what the options are?
This is one of the best new features and would like to know how it works exactly.
Can certain contacts get passed the do not disturb feature?
