Hello
I´ve got a German HTC Incredible S with Clockworkmod. How can I upgrade my phone-rom to the official 4.0-Rom by HTC? Updating with the official software-update function doesn´t work. I think, that´s because of my Clockwork-Mod. What do I have to do to update my phone?
Thanks
You have s-off or unlocked bootloader? To install official HTC released ICS update, you would have to either go back to s-on or locked bootloader and run an RUU (WWE in your case). A better option would be to flash one of the ICS roms cooked by our developers.

Depends on if you are also S-OFF with Revolutionary. If you are, forget the OTA and look at mike1986's ARHD ICS ROM. It is built off of the official ICS RUU.
Hi guys,
I'm a proud owner of a HTC One M7 International Unlocked U.S and so far I coudn't upgrade it to Android 4.2 via OTA (it's still running the stock 4.1). How can I proceed in order to get it running version 4.2? Is it possible to update it to Android 4.2 via USB? Is root needed in order to do that? Thank you very much.
What software build are you on at the moment?

EddyOS,
The software number is 1.36.599.1 and Android Version 4.1.2
Going by this thread (which I found by searching, something you should become familiar with ) there seem to be other on the same build saying there are things missing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43272550
Should point you in the right direction
This another thread is not related to the updates but it helped me understood this version is for LATAM (Mexico) and probably it's the cause I'm not receiving the update via OTA. Any options left?
Hello again
I got my sprint HTC one and update with OTA to 4.3 and did root to it.
I would like to know if there's a way to go back to the version I got the device - I think it was 4.2.2
Thanks

If you took OTA then it probably updated firmware as well, which from what I understand breaks TouchPanel for the older ROMs.
Unless someone comes out with a patch for their 4.1/4.2 roms to make touch panel work with new firmware, I don't think the touch panels going to work...

Unfortunately you can't downgrade unless you're at least S-OFF

Well, ur missing out on TONS OF FEATURES on the 3 newer versions. Get the phone repaired and then update. The issue might not be as prominent on 4.1.2, but I can assure u it will still be there. This is a hardware issue and downgrading the firmware isn't exactly a permanent solution.
Yeah, trust me, its a hardware issue. Best to send it in and get fixed. I'm happy I did. They replace now with the same omni sensor that is in the M8...makes sense to get it fixed because it will just get worse over time.

touchscreen drivers were updated in 2.xx +, so if you're trying a 1.xx (Android 4.1.2) ROM on firmware 2.xx+ then touchscreen won't work.

Update, I just found a 4.3 Rom Stock with Goodies that worked for me, did S-off and unlocked my phone to Use any Sim Card
Regarding the Touchscreen I guessed It had to be something like that, because prior to that I flashed an old TWRP recovery and also got Stuck.
Here's what I Used:
-HTDEV to unlock bootloader
-Flashed this Recover
philz_touch_6.26.6-m7spr.img
Relocked bootloader
-Flashed this Rom
Stock with Goodies
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2301672
-Did the Firewater S-off method
http://firewater-soff.com/instructions/ (the Weaksauce File)
-Unlocked bootloader using same token used above
-Flashed the HtcOMADM_SPCS.zip from recovery (for this and for any other Flashing I used a USB OTG Dongle)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586704 (for me the first method was enough)
And that's It, Have a fully Rooted, fully unlock and S-off HTC M7Sprt
I hope this helps anyone

I have the opposite problem. On 4.1.2 sense my camera has horrible quality and purple tint. On 4.4.2 GPE my camera is perfect. I don't think downgrading will help you out. Things with the camera could get worse.

But I have a doubt, I read somewhere that a sprint one thats unlocked to work on gsm carries will only work on sense roms, and if I flash a GPE will I still be able to use my phone on any GSM carrier since I'm not in sprint.
Can anyone help me out..??

You are aware that you resurected 2 years old thread, right? It doesn't matter what ROM you flash, if you have 1.61 h-boot, only way to s-off your phone is sunshine which is not free

Hey guys. I am new to Sprint and new to Htc One HK edition. I have a question though. What is the latest android version?
When I booted the phone it was on 4.4.2 and did some ota and the last one was 4.4.3 I see online that there is 4.4.4 but my phone is not giving it to me. IF 4.4.4 was out for HK edition when was it released?
The latest official Android version is 4.4.4. Software version for the HK M8 is 3.30.654.2. It was released at the end of October.

Is there a way to manually update it to 4.4.4?
Nevermind that^^^ I see I have tp be S-Off or unlocked to manually take the ota. I'm not sure if I will do that yet

You can try the RUU. You can find it in the second link in my sig, towards the bottom of the first post. Follow the directions for the manual installation. If you've unlocked your bootloader you will need to relock it prior to running the RUU.
