Hey everyone,
I hope I am not beating a dead horse, but I couldnt find anything. I have a cracked Captivate screen and I am not able to unlock it to put it into USB mode. Is there any way through recovery or some other trick? I just installed Mosaic V yesterday, I have no idea if that helps, but at least you know what ROM i have. I just want to recover the pictures. I can see the top left portion of the screen, but the unlock motion does not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
This is pretty much the same, read though it. It should help http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1164598

Hello everybody,
I am in need of some help please, I have a Galaxy Camera and it was working fine for a couple of days and then it died,, not as in battery was dead the entire device doesn't charge or anything.
In haven't done anything to the camera in regards to modding the Rom or changing any system files so pretty much it is as out of the box.
Any suggestions on how to get this thing to power on and work?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Get it straight back to where you purchased it for a replacement.

Cheers, I will have a little play about and see what can be done before i result back to place of purchase.
Really disappointed though the camera was amazing to start of with now I've lost a bit of interest
Do you try to remove the battery few min then put it back (If any sim card or memory card, remove it before put back the battery). Don't power on the camera but connect the power adapter and see if the screen show the camera is charging, then if yes, try to boot.
If the camera don't charge the battery when off, this mean camera is dead I think. Because should charge when off and show battery on LCD display.
Good Morning,
I am sorry if this is on the wrong forum, if so, could someone please point me to the right direction!!
I wonder if anyone can help??
I have rooted my Galaxy GT-18190N and found the screen rotate no longer works.
I havehad a look through different forums and not found a resolve whereas the root can remain.
I believe there may be an issue with the acceleraromiter.
Is there an app that can sort this? Or do I have to go back to stock?
Any help would be much appreciated - be aware I am very new to this!
Cheers,
Perry
Hi all
I see there's a lot of posts already about this topic but I couldn't find quite the same set of symptoms / wasn't clear on the root cause and possible fix.
I've replaced the screen on my P10 with a 'donor' screen from a bricked mobile (I have another post about that!) and now I get the "Fingerprint sensor needs calibration after replacement" message.
I've tried to calibrate and typically it would get to about 21% and then not go any further. Today I managed to get it to 59% by pressing really hard with my left hand instead (have tennis elbow on the right side so was too painful!) and rotating etc but couldn't get beyond; even my left arm started to ache so figured I'd come back to it later - but if you leave the screen it goes back to zero!
I've tried a factory reset but that doesn't help. I saw this post (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/fingerprint-sensor-replaced-how-to-re-calibrate.3606073/ ) - do I really have to flash the firmware? Bit wary about that after bricking the other phone!! Is there a simple guide on how to do it with the current version (9.1.0.275 - C432E2R1P9 ; UK)?
Or could the sensor on the donor screen be faulty? The donor phone was acting 'differently' with the sensor when it was working but thought that was more down to it being on Android 7 than 9... but maybe it was always a bit faulty - how do I tell / should I just buy a new screen (or is there a high chance I'll get this error again anyway, looking at other posts out there...)?
Thanks
Ross
Anybody else to help here - need to know whether it's worth buying a brand new screen or to go down the fireware flash route ; any advice much appreciated please.
Thanks!
