Try the rebootfix before installing the script
Bootloop
Something went wrong and got stuck in bootloop, had to start the whole thing right from the begining(xperifirm-flashtool and so on.)..
Hope the reboot fix works.
Anyone else who have tried this?
Any other methods to follow?
plz give some screenshot :/ for universal int.d

Hi, you cannot access the files. =(
hello,
it's not clear if you want access file within android or just connecting your SD card to a computer.
Can you install apk file (i.e. downloaded from market place?)
i want to access files within android because i want to install apk files from memory card.
i tried to install apk files from market palce but after selecting any application, it shows downloading but doesnt finish download even after several minutes.
I have had similar problem, my 2GB sdcard was not full but I could non use at all, I formatted full FAT32 and put back the file. This solved the problem.
any luck
Are you saying that when you use something like OI file manager, you can not see any files on the memory card ?
i want to rom version of android2.2 too.

i dont have a solution for your problem, but if you have .apk files put it in the "Androidapps" Folder on your sdcard via PC and then run Android. It install automaticly if you start Android.
Hi,
I'm using a motorola milestone. My problem is that to apply any update or even root the phone (as it is recommended) i dont have a folder named 'root'. please help me. i want to install cm7.
thanks in advance.
There IS no folder called "root" on your SD card. The root of your SD card is what you see when you use memory card access to access to see your SDcard from a PC. It's called root as in the root of a tree. Think of all the folders/directories as branches of a tree. As you move into directories, you are moving away from root.
Assuming you've installed Openrecovery, you should have a folder called Openrecovery on your SD card. Inside that you should find one called update. It is in here that you need to put the CM7 update file that ends in .zip
Then, you boot into OpenRecovery (instructions will be on the page where you downloaded Openrecovery), and then you will have a menu option to apply updates...

1. run Root Explorer
2. go to /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:0
3. open file read_ahead_kb in editor
4. change 128(or different) to 2048
5. Save
2)PERNAMENT

You can check your writing&reading speed before and after this mode in program SD Tools from market.
You can do this with sd increase if you are rooted

You have to be root to edit files in /sys and /system anyway.

Editing the file is better, than the app cause, theres no APP whos asking for permissions every time you boot, and .. BLA i DONT KNOW, i think its better

You can test all packages, but usually the best id value 2048.
Hmm, SD Increase now has an option to make the change permanent by applying it on every boot.

Hi guys , I installed CM7 Rom (from 2.1 JFD) through Rom Manager, it works good, i put update.zip on card, but ddnt put google apps .zip file.
CM7 installed correctly. when i tried to put googleAppsUpdate.zip on card (and removed th CM7Update.zip ) and restarted in recovery from rom manager , i got An Exclamation White triangle Above and Android Man Symbol. and no progress !!!
wht is wrong ?? and how can i Install google Apps update ??
I'm kind of confused here bud, but update.zip is clockwork mod not cm7. By putting the update.zip and applying it via recovery, that would have installed clockwork recovery, and from there you would have needed to install the cm7 zip via recovery to flash cm7. The Google apps zip can be downloaded through your ron manager or via cm7 server, then it needs to he flashed the same way via clockwork recovery (install zip from sdcard).

Galaxy S Vibrant CM7.1
google apps....are apps!
you can extract all the apps from the zip, and push them to system/app.
if you cant do that, try mounting system in recovery before you flash....if this was the hd2 forum, you will be hot Cheetos right now...flamed! lol

First fo all, this is in the wrong forum.
Second of all, I really believe you are probably trying to flash a version of gapps that is not correct for your device.
But either way...
The two compressed folders are
-META-INF
-system
decompress the system folder..maybe put it on your desktop or something. Inside the system folder is a series of different folders. Look for the one that is named "Apps" take that folder and place it on the root of your SDcard. Now, go back onto your phone and use Root explorer to manually move each of the apks from that app folder that you would like...and move them to system>apps. fix the permissions on the apk once you move it so that it has the same permissions as every other apk already in the folder and once you are done moving whichever apps you'd like on your phone and fixing the permissions, reboot your phone.

- You also need a FAT32 partition in order to unzip the directory to the root of your sdcard. Windows os can't access the ext3 partitions
- Step No. 3 "run haret and recovery the update-ICB-Yaka.zip , reboot."
After running haret, you need to choose from the menu to install android from a zip file
and then you choose the "update-ICB-Yaka.zip" file.
After installing, run haret again but don't press the volume down key just let it go.
WiFi didn't work the rom Is great and fast
also dos't support arabic . if that Possible how i do that I liked the rom very much and I want to keep useing it
thanx
