Okay guys, i already know how to unlock the boot loader for the HTC Desire 510 that i just bought today, but im deciding whether to just leave it or not

Lollipop Update
Last time i checked the g flex of any variant will not receive lollipop due to compatibility issues. From what LG told me after i emailed them about it. Though rumors point to the g flex may receive 6.0. Though i doubt it, wishful thinking though.

I can flash the latest firmware 5.1 Retail Brazil in Moto X 2014 xt1097 AT&T locked bootloader? not produce a brick? It is safe? The procedure would be the same?
I want to update to 6.0 via OTA.

Currently there is no way to unlock the AT&T on 5.1.

You can once its released and someone makes a twrp backup of it but as of now we are still waiting. Sounds like it just got released for the Brazil moto maxx so hopefully we are not far behind. Although if you don't care about and official release and want to run a marshmallow ROM there are two over in the moto maxx forum that are both stable you can go check those out.
