music controls+trusted devices - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way to have easy access to music controls when a trusted device is connected? I don't understand why it bypasses the lockscreen entirely so I'm not able to control my music from there.
Can't wait for Lollipop and it's better implemented "smart lock" where it still shows the lock screen just turns off the password.

Rocket player (music) controls on lock screen

Hi, I've recently succesfully upgraded from B133 to B830 (with some stops along the way).
Now I had some trouble getting notifications to show up on my lock screen but that worked after some googling and fiddling with the settings. What I would like as well is a way to pause/play, play next track and play previous track from the lock screen as well.
Ideally the lock screen would have notifications in front, the album art behind them and player controls above or below the notifications. Does anyone know if this is possible?
I've tried diddling the settings in rocket player as well and I have given rocket player full permission but it only shows up in my notifications dropdown menu.

No music lock screen controls

That's one minor issue for me
Hmm, I somewhat have this problem, too. Google Play Music has lock screen controls, but Amazon Music does not. Haven't tried any other of the apps.
I only tried Spotify, I can pull down the notification screen and see a small widget to control but I was hoping to have the full lock screen with the album art
the default music app has lock screen controls. (see attached screenshot)
i checked it with PIN security screen lock & Pattern security screen lock
I have this issue as well. I tested it with Spotify. My finding is that once a notification is "read/view" it will not show up in the lock screen anymore. Once the song finishes and switch to a new song, the notification comes back. If I starts Spotify and stay in the app the notification is available on the lock screen.
I decided to install "next" lock screen by Microsoft while I thinker with modifying the framework and system ui.
I got a Spotify notification widget in my lockscreen (i still wish it was a full screen album artwork) . Go to settings, notification center, notice management and then find Spotify and make it important... I also noticed I changed other apps like Instagram and Fb messenger and other ones were listed as other. So I changed it
If you go into Spotify then go to another app your notification widget will disappear until the next song.
Edit:
If you're rooted you can use my modded SystemUI apk if you use some of the popular music streaming app..

How do I show music controls on lock screen

On my previous devices the music controls showed up on the lock screen. Can't seem to get it to work on p30 pro. It just shows the notification but no controls.
I have to unlock to change songs
It is working on mine. But only the Huawei Music app. Spotify is only notification. I do not change anything, only has turned off magazine unlock.

Skip lock screen - Can't read lock screen notifications

Hi Guys - I got a Pixel 4 XL yesterday and noticed something weird. When I had the 'Skip lock screen' option enabled, my notifications on the lock screen would briefly appear on top of the screen before disappearing. After that, I would only be able to see the icon on the lock screen but not interact with it.
After I unchecked the 'Skip lock screen' option, my notifications appear as expected on the lock screen. I'm able to expand/read the notification and use quick responses or dismiss it.
Has anyone been having the same issue? I would say it's a bug in the implementation. I love the skip lock screen feature but I don't want to unlock and go to notifications every time I get a notification.

AntiTheft Guide: Control and unlock your phone (op7pro) ANYWHERE

Want to control your phone remotely? Even if it's locked? Especially if it gets stolen, or just lost? I think this guide is the best way to do it, for now.
Requirements: Poweron schedule and power on alarm (in case of theft and to not notify a thief, i have alarm on silent)
edxposed and xposed edge pro (of which requires magisk and root, duh)
airmirror and airdroid
A lock screen set by pin, password, or even pattern.
Airmirror is used to control your device remotely; it can be used from the web or the app. Airdroid is to be installed and configured on the device you wish to control. I recommend you use systemize (magisk module) to systemize airdroid; it seems to make airdroid more responsive. As for configuring airdroid, please make sure you can actually control your phone first, and that you don't get the popup for screen casting (otherwise you cannot control phone remotely)
Configure the bootup trigger (in more triggers section) in xposed edge pro to turn on wifi/data, which is required to use airdroid/airmirror. Also, i would recommend you to set for the sms recieved trigger action to open airdroid.
Finally, with xposed edge pro, here comes the vital part to unlock your phone wirelessly.
First you must gesture recording; for now set it to record on a volume key. Lock the phone. Call the device. The call will always wake the device up, and as soon as that happens start the gesture recording. Dismiss the call, swipe and enter your code. End the gesture recording. Now go back to more triggers.
For the incoming call ringed trigger, select multi-action. First action is delay, set it to 2500ms. Second action is gesture inject, for the gesture you've just made.
Now, be sure your gesture actually works. Lock the screen and make a call to it. If your gesture succeeds, the call should be dismissed and the code entered. If not, just keep trying until you get it right. If you have the sms recieved trigger to open airdroid, send a text message to open airdroid. From this point on, open airmirror then control your device to do whatever.
airdroid seems to work as long as you have internet connectivity, and even though it has a data cap, using airdroid to control your screen uses very little data. Be sure to test multiple times, and after several reboots for maximum reliability.
If this guide actually gets attention, I will make it more clear, and more steps to be optimal.
