Did you use Greenify on a non-rooted phone?
Or... use another calculator. Calc+ works better for me anyway as it supports editing calculations after the fact which i find usefull. To enable it for multiwindow I used pen window enabler, processed the installed apk, uninstalled and then reinstalled.
I greenify only downloaded apps, no system and all my accessibilitys are turned off.. But i noticed text to speech option doesn't have a off button, only to switch between Samsung and Googles tts

Titanium backup > freeze text to speech Samsung. Bingo
download google text to speach go to your settings and set google as default text to speach and the talking calculator will be gone, your welcome!
Lol I had this same problem. I ended up reseting phone to fix. I believe it's because you downloaded the high quality voice from galaxy apps.
The cause many discover is turning on Greenify in Settings/Accessibility. It turns on TalkBack for some reason. Turn off Greenify in the Accessibility settings.

Hi,
I was using the task manager that installs with Go Launcher EX to have a look around and noticed that the torch widget/app that came with the stock GB install was running in the background. When I killed it, it restarted automatically and when I checked its permissions it had pretty much free run of everything (see pic - and that doesn't show the lot).
Now, I may be being paranoid, but this setup looks very suspicious for a simple torch app - anyone with more experience of such things care to comment.

Block those with Droidwall.
I don't understand why stock music player on ICS (and may be on GB too) can read email attachment, sms/mms ?
Yes, weird. I've actually frozen it with Titanium Backup and installed a free widget from the Play Store.
Alright, so i finally got to something that really bothers me and I'm wondering if anyone has a fix other than using a different sms/mms app.
When typing a message, day i wasn't too take a picture yes? Well, when taking a picture in the messenger app i am in a not so bright area okay? WHY THE HECK CAN'T I USE FLASH!?!?!?!?!?
I have a picture of what i am explaining..

When the camera app opens do you see a menu option with a lightning bolt and three dots?
There's no flash option when using the camera from the messenger app. If you don't like it you could use another app (I known you may not want to). I have the same messenger app on my G3 and since I never use flash it doesn't bother me.
Also cannot use flash when using HDR+ mode anywhere. If you want to use flash I have to turn this mode off, course this doesn't have anything to do with messenger camera flash.
Flash is an option in Hangouts if you wanna switch to that.

This was true for the Nexus 5/KK 4.4 as well.
I recently upgraded to a Note 5 from the Galaxy S5 active. It was very easy to set on the S5 but I cannot get my unread text message notification repeat setting to work on the Note 5. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Good luck
I've set it there and it still doesn't work. Oddly enough I downloaded Textra and used it for about 2 weeks and it worked fine with that app, just not the messages app.

There isn't an option there to set repeat notifications.

I don't have that option on that screen. I have everything except repeat message alert.
I've had Note 5 for 6 months and repeat notifications has been driving me CRAZY! I looked everywhere (I thought) for a setting to disable it. Thank you for pointing me to this setting!
No more turning my phone OFF at night to stop it making noises every minute! (Even with Do Not Disturb enabled!)
Has anyone else noticed their apps updating themselves without the use of the play store? I swear today I saw Facebook and Google play music do it.

they only update if you have the auto update option enabled in the play store. otherwise they do not auto update.
I must have slept too long then and not noticed the new features in GPM. Unless they were features already implemented but not enabled until Google decided to do so. I don't remember tapping search ever opened up a small search box, it was always it took me to a different screen.

I used to get something like that third picture
And now I get this little search box, and the play store doesn't show that it was recently updated.

It's pretty standard for google to implement features weeks or months in advance to "rolling them out" and usually it depends on Google Play Services which auto updates regardless of settings. wouldn't surprise me if Facebook used similar rollout methods
Hello there! New to this forum! So, here's the thing - I live in Europe, Poland, and about 2 or so years ago, I have bought a P30 Pro phone from one of our local stores - I highly doubt that it is a Chinese version of the device, but I might be wrong. Either way, I have recently installed Google Contacts app from Play Store, as I have wanted to make it a default on my device - I am wanting to use it with cooperation with the official People app from Microsoft on my Windows 10 PC, so that I can easily message my family or friends from my computer - But since to do that I would need to have Google's app manage my contacts, rather than the preinstalled dialer on my phone, I decided I would be willing to adapt and change my habits over to the new app. All would be nice and easy, if my phone actually detected Google's app I have installed and let me change it to default contacts app in settings, which it doesn't. Any idea why that might be happening?

Thank you, that worked. I was kinda surprised that it needed to be the Google's dialer app but glad it worked.
