I can flash it in a xt1097 from Brazil?
My device came from the factory like this.
Tks
Can Non-pure edition Moto X'ers use this ROM, or are we gonna have a bad time?

Flashing in a XT097 Moto X makes it become a XT095!
So uhhh...
Any idea if you will be able to upgrade to the public build via OTA if installing via this method?
I have XT 1092 version. Is it considered as pure edition? Can i flash this on my phone? Btw just received my Moto X 2014 yesterday so no root yet
All of the above questions have been talked about in the thread. I have an actual question, really wish the limit on new users was removed.
Anyways...
When I try and sideload, it sends and then when it tries to install the OTA I get an error saying "/system/app/PlusOne.apk" has unexpected contents
...and it fails there.
Any help on this?

Nope. I factory reset my phone and have no apps custom installed. I know when I first boot up after reset, Google+ was force closing but I updated it to the current Play Store version, updated Play Services just to make sure G+ worked, then rebooted and tried updating again. Still nothing. I'm currently rezipping the OTA without the PlusOne app include by default. Maybe it will bypass it.
EDIT: No luck with this. This method may work, but at the moment I don't have my main PC with me to package the zip correctly so it failed as soon as it sent via sideload. I'm going to try another commenter's method, flashing graphix's system image and unrooting.

HOLY **** GUYS. I got it.
So as you may know, i was one of the original idiots that bricked their devices by trying to unroot the phone to apply the OTA, fear not, i have got the phone back.
Basically, get cut the bootloop, hold down all 3 buttons for about 6 seconds, this should turn the devices off
Then, get the moto X toolkit, this should have everything that you need in it
Boot into the bootloader, BE PATIENT, this took me the better part of a half hour to get it into the bootloader but it IS possible
Connect the phone to the computer, navigate into the folder with the extracted toolkit
open a CMD window there, type in the following commands
"fastboot erase boot"
"fastboot erase system"
"fastboot erase cache"
"fastboot erase userdata"
"mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk1"
Do the mfastboot command for the rest of the chunks, there are 5 of them
"mfastboot flash boot boot.img"
Then go ahead and boot into the system, obviously it erases all your data but its better than erasing the 500ish dollars you spent buying the phone.
Hopefully this works for you guys. By the way, thanks for releasing this OTA OP, it may not have worked for me but it obviously worked for people that were unrooted and stuff.
Also, this gets you the stock rooted images, i guess we'll just have to wait until someone provides a stock unrooted nanroid or system.img

OKAY GUYS I GOT IT WORKING. (just for starts i was rooted unlocked bootloader. xposed, adblocker plus, titanium backup and a few others where what i was useing.) first thing i did was attempt to install and it failed. then i followed THEindian's walkthrough to the T then i immediently booted into android turned on usb debug, and copyed the .zip to root of SD card. adb reboot recovery vol up +pwr update from sd card. chose zip perfect install. modem dont work after so go back into recovery and do factory reset/erase cache and everything working now.

No, just for xt1095
Flashed system image after multiple factory resets, wipes of the system, boot, recovery, cache, and even user data, proceeded to unroot and then restart device in recovery to sideload. Still getting "/system/app/PlusOne.apk" issue. I can't figure this one out for the life of me.

Have you or are you planning to unlock? If you are can you see if you can create a stock unrooted system.img?
Havent decide yet...i may just wait for the official release. I've played with Android Lollipop on my Nexus 5
UPDATE: Tried the other method loading the update to internal memory and updating rather than using the sideload feature. Still getting the same issue.
Code:
"/system/app/PlusOne.apk" has unexpected contents

Hey, LONG time reader. My Nexus 5 just broke, so I had to stop at best buy for something in the interim. Knowing that I putz with phones too much to not have a stock rom to fall back on, I pulled my stock system image and boot files and made my own. I couldn't post in Dev, cause I'm new-ish.

If you have any issues, post them below. I have only tested this on my own T-Mobile D415. Unsure if it will work on other phones.

Need Help Rooing
I have been searching treads like crazy! I just got a LG-D415 and used every single rooting tool.. yet did the new OTA update first not thinking.. now none of the tools will root. I even used the new towelroot thing which most people said works. I hate not having a rooted phone and don't feel like waiting for the tools to update to cover my OTA update.. is there anyway around this? I figured installing the stock rom would fix it but it seems to install that you need root for twrp/cwm and I can't find any signed roms to install on the factory stock recovery.

Use LG root script v1.2
LG_Root_Script_by_avicohh.exe
IT IS SUPPOSED TO ROOT STOCK LOLLIPOP ALSO
My bootloader is unlocked. My stock rom was messed up with system modifications and I tried to go back to pure stock. So i tried flashing 4.4.2 sbf file but i am already on 4.4.4. I didn't know that before that you cannot downgrade from 4.4.2 or higher.
The thing is I run the following commands
Code:
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
{

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
i didn't run the subsequent commands
and tried rebooting phone immediately
the phone is working fine as such(system modifications are still present and i want to get rid of them).
I read somewhere that if you try to downgrade you may/will brick your device. And also of a guy who did something like this (downgraded from 4.4.2 to 4.2.2 and it was working fine until he took an OTA, that OTA bricked his device)
Are there any chances of me bricking my device?
Your system shows 4.4.2 now? If so, yes....taking an OTA will very likely brick you. And those ones are much harder, or impossible to fix.

You'll be eventually able to flash L manually too.
But as long as you are confident you've never downgraded your bootloader version...you'll be fine. If you have, or are unsure....best not to OTA.

In my settings build number remains unchanged. Do this confirm that my bootloader is not downgraded?
And even if its downgraded can I manually flash Android L sbf?

I'm in a similar situation as op. reason why i don't do what you say is: there is no official 4.4.4 image from Motorola. and i have no idea where rdslite came from nor its source code.
what i did is email Motorola support repeatedly for an official 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 images because they sold us developer devices and promised support. it's ridiculous that they only offer 4.4.2 to download for restore.

I need to flash the original system image to re lock the boot loader.
but since my phone was sold to me on android 4.4.3 (or I accepted a OTA update from Motorola as soon as I received it) I cannot use the old android 4.4.2 system image you provide.
since Motorola is already even providing updates to 4.4.4 I demand at least the 4.4.3 to be made available. if not the 4.4.4

Q&A for [MANUAL OTA] VS980 39A Lollipop (No root)

This might sound like a really silly question but it's directed at people who've successfully installed this on their VS980.
Is there an option for 'USB tethering' in this version (The option that allows you to tether your phone's wifi connection to the PC through a usb cable). I've seen it in pretty much every other android device but the verizon G2 only allows me to tether my data connection and not a WiFi connection. Could anyone let me know please ?

I would retry again, the 2nd update took much longer to install than the 1st one. Then it had to optimize 177 some odd apps which took awhile as well.

Thanks for the rom. I tried to pm you on your other account on Android forums but I don't think you saw it lol. Thanks for the work on the rom. I love it
Is it okay if I post logs? I have some errors in my catlog app. I'm not sure what the local even is, but I check it just for fun and I see what all the phone does. It's pretty cool to me, even though I don't know what any of it means lol
Any idea why I would be experiencing the "E:Error executing updater binary in zip "/external_sd/cm-12.1-20150714-UNOFFICIAL-ms345.zip'"? It's stopping me from flashing the rom.

You need to update TWRP to the blue one in the OP. If you are already using the blue one, then you possibly forgot to wipe data/factory reset first
I'm running TWRP 2.8.7.0 and I did wipe my data... what else could be causing it?

I was able to flash the rom, but now it keeps crashing and rebooting before I can even initially set up WiFi.

Did you clean install the rom? I did the advanced wipe, and it worked fine. The wipe that deletes all the cache, internal storage and all that. You may not need to do that, but that's what I did. Hope I helped.

When you say Advanced Wipe, did you select everything? I select everything except external SD, flash the rom, wipe the dalvik cahce, and yet the rom still crashes after about 5 seconds.
Hmm.. I haven't heard of anything like that happen to anyone.. Sorry I don't know alot, but you might be able to find a fix at androidforums. That's where the original thread is. Also, what company is your phone with?

Is that the T-Mobile variant? I've heard that people got it to work on T-Mobile version, but I think some people had problems also. The link I posted in my last post has the link. Maybe some of the posts will help you with that. Hope I helped.
No, this is not t-mobile version.
Can someone explain exactly how to unlock bootloader of LG Leon?

just root. Put twrp and install
Thanks for the answer. I own a LG Spirit 4G LTE (H440n) and if you compare it to LG Leon, they are basically the same devices. However, we at LG Spirit can't manage to unlock bootloader and I don't understand why. I rooted my LG Spirit using LG One Click Root. I can flash TWRP via Flashify but when I try to boot to recovery, I get secure boot failed; boot verification error, sth like that. What method do you use for rooting?
Anyone tried to install on other version LG Leon 4G lte?

oem_locked
Motorola won't give out an unlock code for this phone.
---------- Post added at 01:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:01 AM ----------
[/COLOR]I thought this phone was unlocked. When I run fastboot oem unlock, it runs with no errors as below:
fastboot oem unlock
...
(bootloader) WARNING: This command erases all user data.
(bootloader) Please re-run this command to continue.
OKAY [ 0.003s]
finished. total time: 0.004s
Yet the fastboot screen shows oem_locked
and I can't install the twrp custom recovery.
Any help?[/QUOTE]
I think this is the reason!
It shows that when I went out to the motorola web site, I get the message, Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking.
