XT1092 Nandroid / Fimware - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Dear All,
I installed the Brazillian version yesterday, but now I'm having some weird issues.. 4G connection takes longer, everytime Im on WIFI and disconnect from WIFI it will show me 3G first for a long time before switching back to 4G. I don't think I flashed any modem since I never flashed "NON-HLOS.bin" and "fsg.mbn". Is it possible for someone to please create me a nandroid backup of their XT1092 version of the Moto X? Preferable Someone from the Netherlands or Germany (just to be sure we have the same firmware).
Hope someone can help me out here, thanks!

I used this guide to create the backup http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2450045, I guess to use these dumps you do the reverse, eg
dd <your path>/system of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p37

Flesh one command at a time using mfastboot.
mfastboot download from here and copy it into the firmware after you've unzipped:

not sure what you did at all because all the phones are rooted the same way.
i would download the 4.2.2 firmware here
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/download.php?device=0&file=18
then go to this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2603358
and follow the guide for returning to stock.
then after you are stock decide if you want to unlock your bootloader or not. then pick the guide based on what you decide and follow it for root

if it keeps force closing then you are not returning the phone to stock. because if you did that would not happen.
so i need you to explain to me what you are using when returning your phone to stock because it is not taking for some reason.

yeah I've tried it about ten times now and i think theres something else from the verizon root that mustve gotten flashed and is causing this
Well you have to flash the NON-HLOS.bin or it is not going to work.
Why not just download the full Sprint firmware file(I believe you've already done this) download rsdlite, remove the var line from the xml, and with one click your phone will work fine again.

They didn´t, look at the SoC specs. Falcons have msm 8626 and 8226 SoCs, which do not have an LTE modem. You need msm 8926 for that, which is the exact chip in peregrine models.
@abhifx I call that semi-sarcasm. Extra sarcasm would look different. No offense meant.

Source newbie here, can these be used for building Custom ROMs?
Not directly, for sure. I made the dumps available because they're the next best thing short of an official stock ROM, which wasn't available at that point.
I always make backups of my devices as soon as possible, it could save me down the road, plus it's not that hard to upload what's not specific to my device.
Hi guys,
I need some pointers getting this image flashed. I soft-bricked my phone, and tried the steps below, but booting to recover still gets a broken android icon, and I don't get past the "warning bootloader unlocked" screen.. I have a Moto G LTE, and I tried both EU and US images.

How do I flash an XT1068 as an XT1064?

Simple question:
I have a UK **DUAL* SIM Moto G 2nd gen, XT1068, and I wish to flash it to an XT1064, US *SINGLE* SIM Moto G. How do I do this? Do I merely flash the US retail 4.4.4 onto it? I know this process could be carried out on the older 1st gen, to convert an XT1033 to an XT1032 (single SIM) - maybe I am impatient, but I want to try...
If you could advise me how to do this, please do let me know. What I am NOT after, is people asking me "why do you want to do this?" or telling me "Do you know the risks of X, Y or Z?" - I am an experienced engineer who's been using many platforms since the 1980s, I use Linux daily since 2003, and I know what I am doing - I know there are risks (with everything in tech, basically) and dissuasion is not needed, thanks folks
I also wanted to know how to do it :/

I guess you'd have to keep these backup on your PC, just in case, then you would follow the steps to go stock but with xt1064 files, once you flash it all, you'd start the system and check for update, if there is none, you'd download the zip and flash it by adb sideload. The backup is just for safety. My guess, and some kind obvious, is that your Sim won't work, then you'd have to flash the modem in order to see if at least sim 1 works.
Sent from my XT1068 using XDA Free mobile app
Edit: Yesterday I flashed xt1063 zip but I wasn't getting any update but it did worked. My guess is xt1064 might work

It doesn't matter - I've tried this twice tonight with fastboot errors, so I decided to err on the side of caution and restore stock UK XT1068 firmware, and wait... hehe
I could successfully convert XT1068 to XT1064 and installed Android Lollipop
I have converted my dual sim XT1068 INDIAN variant into XT1064 single sim US variant...and i manually updated to android 5.0 lollipop through adb AND "WORKS LIKE A CHARM"...now i have a single sim variant but my phone doesnt get its network...it just says emergency calls only and "NO SIGNAL TOO"...can someone help me with the radio file ( I dono what it is called when i googled that is what i found. )..??

OTA.zip won't work if it wasn't genuine. OTA is performing md5-checksum tests.
Ow ok, and it can work on a non-stock rom? Because i just saw someone say it has to be stock rom.

Hmm. Maybe I wasn't clear. If you try to install an OTA, it will perform various checksum-tests before actually installing itself. Since the ROMs at motofirmware.com are genuine stock, everything will be fine and you will be able to install OTA

Download Minimal ADB and Fastboot and install it.
start "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" by navigating to the Start Menu Folder you choose to create during installation or the desktop shortcut you choose to create and select "Minimal ADB and Fastboot"
You should now see a command window open.
Put your device in fastboot mode and connect usb.
Now just do verify type this command
Code:
fastboot devices
the output should show something like this (your number is different)
Code:
fastboot devices
ZX1D225X69 fastboot
now extract your downloaded zip into the directory where your command window is open and start flashing
Code:
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
reboot device
Now you should be back to stock KitKat.

Unlikely. Manufacturer don't change the Android version for products that are already on the market.

Please help! Imp :(

I have rooted my moto g 2014 and installed a ROM on it. But since i have installed certain ROM on my phone my wifi isnt working properly. Whenever my phone screen turns off, the wifi automatically turns off! I have tried modifying every wifi setting there is, but to no avail! please WIFI working properly is very important for me.
I ask for
1) Give a proper solution if anybody has one. I wouldn't mind completely erasing the data there is as i have tried changing the ROMs many times
2) give me certain links which helps me unroot my phone and bring it back to stock form with lollipop installed, as it worked perfectly earlier. Thank you!
Are you on a kitkat bootloader or modem in a llolipop rom then updrade
Wifi Advance settings in the dotted menu change keep WiFi on during sleep
Also try a double factory reset
I had Lollipop installed on my phone when i rooted my fone. Though it comes with kitkat out of the box. I have factory reset it every time i install a new ROM. Do you think a back to back reset can help?
Try to flash full stock 5.0.2 again
well do i have to unroot the device for that or just install the ROM again? and please can you give me a link. i cant seem to find one!

mfastboot.exe erase modemst1
mfastboot.exe erase modemst2
mfastboot.exe flash fsg fsg.mbn

If you´re using Minimal ADB & Fastboot the comands will start like
Code:
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
......
and so on.
Thank You so much for your reply, but I dont want to brick my phone i cannot choose which file to pick from the website you provided me with. I have XT1068 ( Indian Model) with 4.4.4 out of the box.! this would be the last thing you'de have to help me with.
is it RETAILDSDSALL_XT1068_5.0.2_LXB22.99-16_cid7_CFC.xml.zip or RETBR_XT1068_5.0.2_LXB22.46-28_cid12_CFC.xml.zip or RETAILDSDSALL_XT1068_5.0.2_LXB22.46-28_cid7_CFC.xml.zip or some else? too many files to choose from and i have minimal or no experience in doing so! help would be greatly appreciated
This guide will help you return to stock lollipop...Easily :fingers-crossed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/official-stock-firmware-5-0-2-lxb22-46-t3019612
The same problem is one I have with stock lollipop. Despite Wlan set to always on, my Moto G 2014 xt 1068 german gets disconnected from Wlan if screen goes off.
Hope it works for you. But maybe 4.4.4 could be a better choice.
It was working perfectly on stock 5.0.2. But after rooting the problem has risen. Maybe i'd root again with everything clean could help? but im willing to take that workload only if can give me good results! so dont know what to do right now!
Try installing a different kernel. Maybe this one ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/kernel-spirit-kernel-titan-t3056091
The spirit kernel is not suitable for stock roms.

I'll check this out when I'm at home. RETBR is Great Britain I believe, it should be one of the DSDSALL files. I give you an answer later and you can be sure, that it works with a minimum risk.
There are also tools, to get back to stock so you don't have to copy/paste the commands if you don't want to.

will wait for your reply. thank you so much
You need the 5.0.2 XT1068 Retaildsdsall - Version (Global version). There are two different files:
LXB22.46-28 version 22.21.28 from Jan 6th
LXB22.99-16 version 22.41.16 from Feb 25th.
So I would choose the newer one which can be found here: http://www.filefactory.com/file/169q6swzvbzb/RETAILDSDSALL_XT1068_5.0.2_LXB22.99-16_cid7_CFC.xml.zip
Download and unzip this firmware,if you use mfastboot in the mfastbootfolder, if you use Minimal ADB and Fastboot unzip it in that folder where Minimal ADB and Fastboot resists. Than run the commands I´ve given you in the post in this thread before: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60887408&postcount=6.
As @stevalder wrote this thread may help you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/official-stock-firmware-5-0-2-lxb22-46-t3019612 .It contains an easy installer for stock rom,so you don´t have to copy/paste all the commands if you don´t like to.
Hope I could help you.
