To any mods (lollipop mad locking obsession?) - Nexus 5 General

Any thread that isn't in the lollipop q&a or the lollipop general discussion always gets locked. When will this stop as the preview which is flawless is available and in a week we should have final release?
Otherwise we could have threads for kitkat q&a and lock all posts relevant to that
This isn't a being arsy post. Just more a 'isn't it time to just let it be by now' as there's so many 5.0 roms available now
Sent from my Android 5.0 Nexus 5

When Lollipop is officially released for the Nexus 5, questions will be allowed. It's been this way since June when the first preview was released.
If you want to discuss further, feel free to PM me or any other Mod on the team.

So, I bought the T because alot of developers said they will develop roms for it.
There aren't that many roms available but there is one that is AOSP. That ROM was posted in August 2012 and hasn't received any update yet
My question: why isn't there an AOSP ROM available for Xperia T? I would love to have AOSP stock rom on my T :x

I know development is a little dry here, but I'm sure things will start catching up soon. The available devs are actually quite busy with cm10/10.1. I know it can be look a little gloomy, especially if you are coming from a rather busy forum, but hold your horses coz you can't request for updates and ETAs

Atrix HD (Jb_bl) active roms

From what I have seen, most of the rom development for atrix hd has stopped. I keep opening the development section to see if there are any new updates to our device. So I am trying to list down the active roms that support motomsm8960_jbbl, so it will be easy for others to check. Please add any ROMs that I might have missed.

Thanks for list.
Are you sure that Carbon rom have stopped development?
Latest nightly is 2014 11 03 after that for most devices there are no nightlies out but looks like they are preparing for Lollipop. IMO, 3rd Nov. isn't that old nightly.

Development for the Atrix HD has not stopped. Atrix HD development was merged with the msm8960 family earlier this year. After the RHD KK release, Atrix HD and other devices not upgraded to KK became their own family, known as the msm8960_jbbl. This also resulted in the development of the popular ROMs that you listed to have msm8960_jbbl not supported. THIS HAS BEEN COVERED EXTENSIVELY FOR MONTHS ACROSS SEVERAL THREADS. ANY BUILD BY THOSE DEVELOPERS ARE OUTDATED BY AT LEAST 6 MONTHS. CM10, 10.1, 10.2 development has stopped per Cyanogenmod. CM11 development is about to end, with patches being released by Cyanogenmod through their nightlies. CM12 (per our branch (msm8960_jbbl) developers have stated that they will start building after our main branch (msm8960) is more stable. TecknoFreak stated that he would try to get a CM12 released, but has not put out any ETA. ALL OTHER ROMS YOU HAVE LISTED HAVE EITHER HAD THEIR DEVELOPERS STOP DEVELOPMENT FOR ALL DEVICES, STOPPED FOR OUR DEVICE, OR ARE DEVELOPING LOLLIPOP VERSIONS.

At the time of my post, the LP build was not known or not widely known about. At the time of your post, you were nearly 24 hrs late on the reporting of the LP build.

Apologies for not letting you know about this earlier. Ironically I created a Lollipop ARD JBBL thread to save another one from going OT just before I discovered this one here, and I forgot to double back with a link so here it is; http://forum.xda-developers.com/atrix-hd/general/lollipop-5-0-1-jbbl-ahd-mb886-t2984530.

there are quite a few lollipop images now available. Following is my review on them,
Vanir - Have NFC error during setup so can't complete setup
Validus - Stable. battery life was ok.
Blisspop - Random reboots
CM - Seen some random reboots and little laggy
PAC - No update. Video playback seems to not work.
Mijju - Quite stable but little laggy.
Please share your reviews on these roms and which rom gives you better battery and smooth performance.
updated the thread.. let me know if I had missed any new ROMs..
There also was OSE rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2495568
I think development stopped on 4.4.4. On 4.4.2 had an option to change max frequency to ~1800Mhz.
Regarding, last updates of lollipop roms (tried Blisspoop and Cyanogenmod) WiFi calling (WhatsApp, Hangouts) doesn't work.
On OSE, there also was a strange bug with WiFi calling (WhatsApp, Hangouts) after last updates. After connecting phone started to make old-modem noises via main speaker at max volume, the only thing that stopped it was shutting down the phone.
There's also the CM11 via RHD's page. Its an unofficial build, but it essentially is the EOL'ed build with stagefright patches.

[DISCUSSION] Mokee 5.1.1 Samsung Galaxy S5 [KLTE]

Hello,
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S5 and almost immediately began the search for a good ROM to install on it. Previously I owned a Samsung Galaxy S4, JFLTEXX, which is Spoilt for ROM choices in my opinion. The S5 unfortunately is not so spoilt.
One ROM that often popped up, with the criteria KLTE, was Mokee. So I flashed Mokee and I find it to be smooth and stable. It is updated very frequently and you can update it easily with just the touch of a button. No wiping and re-flashing GAPPS etc. It is also feature rich.
I wanted to set up a discussion about Mokee for the S5 as there is none, and this awesome ROM is certainly something that warrants discussion.
Please share your thoughts.

I am simply just a messenger. I take no responsibility for the development of this ROM. Pay tribute to the developers through the Mokee website.
Thread closed.
The reason why you don't find anythnig from Mokee on XDA is because the work is banned from this site because Mokee market contains warez.

[Discussion and Help Thread] ROM : AOSP Nougat 7.0 [BOKROM] by bokbokan

Discussion Thread for AOSP Nougat BOKROM ROM (by bokbokan )
ROM location : http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...rom-cm12-unofficial-hammerhead-gapps-t2969820
I wanted to setup this thread to allow discussion to continue while the main ROM thread is closed (I presume it's closed until the OP is reformatted in accordance with XDA rules.
As an FYI,
This ROM is extremely stable with the only known issue (to my knowledge) being the video recording bug which plagues most (if not all) current Nougat builds.
Hey
I created a guide for installing and customizing exactly this rom on a secondary slot in multiROM.
Including busybox, viper4android, dt2w, and some more...
I hope it can answer some questions for beginners (maybe also for a pro )
Link to thread
Cheers
Blade
With 300+ views on this thread there is clearly intersest in bokbokan's most excellent rom (over 1400 downloads of his rom from androidfileshot) !!
I'm hoping bokbokan can chime in on this thread and can confirm that he is still pursuing development of it as the original thread is still closed.

Has development of stock android stopped??

It's already been a long time since the all stock android roms have received an update. I was just wondering if the development has stopped?
