does anyone know if the s3 mini (i8200n) will receive the android 5.0?
This model was launched this year and has already received several updates
but always in version 4.2.2.

I don't think that it will. It doesn't even have KitKat, or at least 4.3 Jellybean, but only 4.2.2

Hey guys! So I'm completely new at this and I was wondering if you guys could help me out a bit. I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini SGH-T449Y and I wanted to upgrade to the latest android version. Currently I have a android version 2.2.2 and I tried to upgrade it through Samsung Kies but it said I had the latest *official* upgrade. I've looked in the threads but most of it seems like its for Galaxy mini Pop users. Is there a version specific for sgh-t449Y or do the upgrades work for every kind of galaxy mini?

First of all, galaxy mini = galaxy pop. They are the same. Next, just go to a thread that teaches you how to flash to 2.3.x. You have to do it via Odin not Kies. And the upgrades work for all, although it's recommended that u upgrade to the firmware for your country/area.

Good evening gentlemen, I recently acquired this model, with the mini version s3 VE (value edition) the only thing that brings different i8190 is the processor .. anyone know or know of a CWM for this phone? since e and googled and not found, have someone from the community to come up with this or has any idea how to do it ... thanks :good::laugh::highfive:

There are no custom recovery and roms for our version yet, i found no developers to work on thos model

hello everyone
i like to start of with sayin hello to everyone and appreciate all the help i receive.
i have a Samsung galaxy s3 mini for 2yr and im in uk and i been seeing other phones running newer firmwares like lollipop and it feels and looks nice and would like it on mine. My s3 mini is currently running android version 4.1.2 and its been like that since new and doubt it get any updates now,
can i update this to a newer firmware please and a step by step process thanks as ok ish with phones know basic stuff but not a genius.

yes you can. the phone will need to be rooted, custom recovery installed & a couple of other tools on pc,ie odin. there are many great guides & tutorials in these forums, so have a look around, read a little learn a lot, like we all did. decide on which rom works the best for you and go with that one(that will be the best rom),dont ask!!!!!. follow all instructions carefully & most of all...enjoy the ride... if you have any difficulty then just ask

I'm typing this from my s3 mini. It has been rooted with kingroot the rooting is ok now needed to allow permission.
So it's ok for a Uk Samsung galaxy s3 mini be updated to later firmware. I read couple guides on here with the cynam rom.
Has is got to be done by odin?.
I also read that can be done with rom manager app is this true?.
What is the latest and stable firmware for samsung galaxy s3 mini GT- i8190n?
Also erm What's a kernel and has that got to be done?
On the downloads page I choose my model and cyamogen then is it recovery or odin I download?

Try manual update from settings. If failed, then your tab S2 may had been rooted. Please ask someone with technical skill to help back to stock firmware.
