Title says it all, guys....can someone point me in the right direction of the correct version of GearManager? (I tried the Youtube link...and it appeared to brick my watch; or maybe the GearManager is screwed...GearManager *says* that it's paired (got the correct code on both Watch & Phone) ...but now the Watch keeps staying in the InitialPairing mode....
The only way I can remove the Pairing from GM is to Uninstall it completely from my phone....but I must be leaving some file, because it re-installs as still Paired to my watch...*grumbles*
Thanks in advance!

If you don't mind spending under $10 USD, there is an app on the Play Store that I used to pair mine with my G3. It's called Gear 2 Superfixer by Creatix Digital. Just download, follow the instructions precisely and you shoud be good to go. You DON'T need to root to use it. With that app, I am able to make and receive phone calls. There are limitations due to needing Samsung stuff, but it is pretty much all you need. It will have the correct version of Gear Manager as well. Good Luck.

What "limitations" does Superfixer have? Can you not DL stuff to the Watch?

I am not rooted, but this DOES work with rooted. It is encouraged as a step in the use of this app/info. Being not rooted, I did not try to download any apps AND I am using a LG G Watch at the same time. You may be able to download some, but I doubt Samsung specific apps, nor can you install the Samsung Apps apk AFAIK.

what version of gear manager did u use? I have a LG G2 that pairs fine with the Galaxy Gear 2 neo.. I use the Gear manager version 2.1.14xxxxx.. Anything from 2.2.xxxx does not work as the apk (which is only about 8mb or so) tries to download more files and it fails since this is not a samsung phone..
The drawback is that I can use the Gear as a standalone smart watch only for notifications.. I cannot get alarm, weather nor can I put S health or S voice on my phone..
*Nudge* to see if anyone has come up with a solution...

Hi,
I have the Samsung Gear V700 with Tizen paared with my HTC One. Everything works perfectly now, but I want to install more Apps (for example a calculator app). I don't have the Samsung App Store because I have a HTC One. How can I get more Apps for my Gear or how can I install the Samsung App Store for my HTC One? Can someone help me, please?
Thanks
Download MobileMe by wondershare and it will let you move aps from store to gear. It's a 14 day free trial though.

Noob question: would MobileMe work? I thought its for Android only, and OP has a Tizen gear.

I would try an app like google play music, try load it and see if it works. Also load app easy uninstall because mobile me app will auto install and easy uninstall will let u remove any app u side load.
Let us kno if it works for the next person.

That's not really my question.
I don't think Wondershare would work here as it is for Android only. And OP has already upgrade to Tizen. So far from what I can see on here, no one has reported any success of installing Android apps on Tizen, whether it be through Wondershare, adb, or any other method.

Ok my bad, but good info to know I get my refurbished gear watch tomorrow and hopes it comes w android. If it does I won't update to Tizen. I am not seeing anything worth upgrading to it for. On the other hand, I know how to root and side load apps to android OS and add theme.

Don't worry about it, its all good.
Chances are your new refurb'd gear will still be on android, even if it is on Tizen, there is a way to downgrade to android, check it out in the General forum.
One thing to keep in mind is the gear has only one communication method: bluetooth. That is it will always need to be connected with your phone, be it notifications, phone calls, sms, or any kind of internet. It does not have wifi or any cell communications at all.

Yeah, no problem. I previously had a gear watch but sold and since then the gear has been updated to Tizen. I will keep it on android Sw for as long as possible since I know how to root it, flash themes and side load apps.

I had to upgrade to Tizen because I connected the Gear with my HTC One and with android I didn't received notifications on my Gear. Now with Tizen everything works. Thats the reason why I had to upgrade to Tizen.
As you said MobileGo doesn'tnwork, how can I install Samsung App Store on my Htc One? I think it's the only way to install apps on the Gear with Tizen.

Would be great if that's possible indeed....
I guess you need to look for an app that shows the directions in the notifications.
I've heared of the new Here navigation app that it shows directions in notifications, but I haven't tried it yet.
Maybe that will help you.
Or, and that's another thought, you need to have a seperate Gear app that interacts with the phone as "server".
Let us know if you have found something, I will search too in the meantime.

I just tried Here on my S5 and it works, but doesn't show directions in notifications (anymore).
I recall I have seen it do that, but now I have the latest beta version and there is absolutely no setting to turn on notifications.
You can download directly to your mobile from this site : http://here.com/beta/android/?lang=en-EN
What OS do you have on your Gear ? Android (Null) or Tizen ?
I have Null_23 on my Gear

I use Android OS Null_22.1 I think. I never want Tizen.
I tried that version of Here but no luck, just crashing
A few days back my watch (Neo) stopped synching with S Health (long after updating the app and Gear Manager) - it just happened out of the blue. No reboots were able to fix this so I thought (yeah, should have known Samsung better) that if I reinstall S Health it might work again. BTW: all other sync activities DO work between the watch and my Note 3.
Lo and behold, after "Uninstalling app updates" I found myself stuck with S Health 2.5 (pre- Gear 2) and definitely NO way to sync as it takes me to a page to "update your Gear Manager to a new version" - which I already have.
Needless to say that S health reports "This is the most recent version" when I try to force an update. The app is NOWHERE to be found on their market. I tried the old "fitness" app (superseded by S Health later) and that doesn't work either for an update.
Last but not least I did try to unpair and pair again...no luck. I didn't factory default the watch as the problem is clearly on the phone side.
I started reading that this synchronization has been reported as broken by many....wonder how many here have the issue (pedometer, sleep, etc)?
Second...can a merciful soul upload S Health 3.5.1 maybe I can sideload it to my phone? Cheers!
/RANT: no wonder Apple is eating Samsung's lunch (even at home in SK) as I have not seen such a clusterf... of apps not working/pulled from market, updates that never arrive, etc. Bad, bad customer experience....100% disappointed with Samsung.
wipe the slate clean...and go on hating Samsung
Sort of fixed it...
Installed the 3.1 S Health version from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2750381&highlight=s+health&page=2
That was NOT synching either...so I thought I need to bite the bullet and wipe clean all the data from the watch and Gear Manager....that DID IT.
Super painful as I had a ton of apps and customizations and my life is better spent having fun rather than fiddling with the phone and watch, but ...that only makes me swear I will ditch Samsung next time around.
Hope this helps someone...someday
/EDIT Ok, that effing didn't last. Not only I lost most of my watch apps (how the [email protected] do I get them back when I cannot uninstall/re-install them ) including Watch Styler.
And the pedometer claims to sync but now it doesn't transfer any data.
[email protected] you Samsung.
Just in case....mind posting a 3.5 S Health if you have it?
Thanks

Well I suppose I have to thank myself. How I got S Health 3.5.5 back:
1. uninstalled Galaxy Apps update (back to ROm original version)
2. uninstalled any S Health updates
3. Allowed Galaxy Apps update
4. In my "Purchased" apps I found now thta S Health shows up and indicates an update is available
5. Forced the update and had to reconfigure my profile (lost all data) despite having a backup.
Hope this helps someone else fighting this horrible app.
Do you still have the synchronizing issue with S-Health? I cannot synchronize since the last update. Nobody seems to have this issue on this forum, but in France I know that a lot of people have this problem.
Thanks

You can probably imagine if that worked I would not have gone through the trouble of uninstalling and installing both apps. So NO, your suggestion was tried and did NOT fix my problem. Might work in other cases...
Just tested all the steps in this thread and my sync is still broken, nothing goes to S Health. Also in Gear Manager is I click the gear icon the option to sync is grayed out.

So you uninstalled S Health (downgrade to default) and uninstalled Gear manager, then re-installed both and still grayed out? Then I'm out of ideas...as I'm not crazy to suggest a factory default

I had a similar issue after my S5 was upgraded to Lollipop. Turns out, I missed an Gear Manager upgrade along the way. Upgraded to the latest Gear Manager and that seemed to work. Now there is a firmware upgrade for the Gear 2 Neo that seems to make it work even better. Latest software: Gear 2 Neo - R381XXU0BOA2, Gear Manager - 2.2.15011799. S Health - 3.5.5.0036. I am not rooted

S Health doesn't support non-english sync to samsung account
Are you guys by any change using another language than English as your phones language?
I've been struggling with syncing S Health to my Samsung account for.. "forever".
But the log file in /android/data/com.sec.android.shealth/files/logs/*.* gave me a little clue..

I started searching trough the smali code to find out more about "Requested parameter [languageCode:nob] is undefined value."
Suddenly I thought "am I just making this more difficult than it is? I'll start by changing the language of the phone to English!"
And badabing.. suddenly S Health for the first time was syncing with my Samsung account... (attachment)
since many of the class call use langcode it wouldn't surprise me if missing langcodes could be a fundamental flaw in the S Health app design.

Mine is English too...always was. BUT...that being said, after the steps I listed above, sync seems to be working fine (knock on wood).
Samsung being Samsung, despite NOT having a scheduled sync set up, I do get a midnight notification "Please open the mobile app and set up a user profile" if no manual sync was done that day. Makes ZERO sense, as I do (obviously) have a profile and why on Earth would it tell me to open the "S Health mobile app" on the phone itself...it's not like I have one on the watch too. Semantics...
I just got my new LG Watch R. Works fine with my iPhone 6. I can read messages and swipe them away, no promblems there.
Now i would like to use my new watch with sports. Is there any way to install endomundo or something on the watch? Its not neccesary at all to connect endomondo with the iPhone, but i just want to see my speed etc on the watch.
Besides this i have a problem installing watch faces. If i want to install a watchface from the Android wear app it doesn't install anything.
Thanks for the help.

You don't need to root. Just find the phone APK file, rename it to ZIP, find the mobile APK file inside the res/raw folder, and use adb install on it.
This post is about getting a customized watchmaker onto the watch, but you can do the same and skip the part about modifying the APK

Hello, I want to use my Samsung Gear 360 with my M31. To do this, I absolutely need the Samsung accessory service APK. You can't do that via Google Playstore. Even if I want to install the app manually, that doesn't work. The installation starts and at the end "was not installed" appears. :-(
I would really like to continue using my 360 degree camera. Does anyone have a solution?
Thank You.

Have you disabled any system app?
If yes, then you should activate those apps again.
If it does not help, a factory reset night do the job. But keep in mind that this will wipe your data.

Make sure that you have plenty of space free, the size of the apk does not correspond with the size the app will be, so have at least a 1 GB or preferably more free. Had the same issue in the beginning made plenty of space and then it worked.
