hii, I did a clean wipe and then installed Dynamic KAt 6.0 in the stock rom slot, but after that my S pen is not working . The attach and detach sound is coming as well air command is opening on removal of S pen from the slot but the screen fails to detect the S Pen. No response to the S pen at all, I tried using my friends S Pen as well but the screen refuses to detect. Please Help!!!

Hey guys I have a question. I recently changed the screen on my note 4 to a new non cracked one. Now I tried the screen with the s pen before I took the phone apart so I knew it worked. Well once I got the phone all back together the s pen on the new screen doesn't work anymore. What would control the s pen in the phone hardware wise that would make it stop working? I tried all the software troubleshooting ideas other than reloading the rom. Anybody have any ideas?
Probably the s pen ribbon cable not connected properly. I had the same issue when I personally repaired my n4. Realized it after the same issues u have and had to separate the lcd from the frame to easily connect both ribbon cables the same time.

Did you manage to fix it? I have same problem. I got mine fixed at a phone repair shop. When I remove the s pen, the air command pops out but when I touch the screen, nothing happens.

Screen has brown copper screen behind it, if you break that your spen wont work, also spen connector is pain is behind to put it back if you open the screen from back not from front, make sure its fully in use flash light to see
My phone detects the s pen as soon as it is withdrawn from phone. After about a minute it stops working and you have to re-insert pen and pull out again to continue. S note app is still active while pen is out. Just stops detecting pen totally. My phone is 920c , stock Rom, unrooted.
Any ideas?
I bought a used Note 5 and the SPen does not work on it. The rest of the phone works fine. When I pull out the SPen the phone makes the SPen removal noise and air command pops up but the screen does not respond to the SPen. I did the *#0*# and did the SPen test and the whole screen is unresponsive to the SPen. I called samsung but due to the fact that I have moved from the country of origin they refuse to help me. Any help or guidance anyone could provide as to what might be wrong with it would be a great help. Thanks

Just rooted and installed multisystem kernel. (Not sure if this is tw but I think it is.)
I was under the impression that the spen would work with the kernel is it my hardware or software? Pen does not show on screen or do anything. It knows I pulled the pen and opens the menu but no dot shows up.
If the menu shows up, it's working.
When I remove the spen the hardware button in the phone triggers the menu. The stylus does not show up on screen and the hardware button on the stylus does not trigger the menu. So essentially it doesn't see the stylus. I was wondering if this is likely hardware issue related? It acts as if it's not sending the charge through the screen for the spen. (that is my understanding of how it works.
I did take my note 4 apart and shim the memory chip, then I took it apart a second time and shimmed the connectors with pieces of a business card because the stylus was not working but it didn't fix the issue.

I was reading that a modified kernel would not work with spen but I do not know from experience.
I just tested spen hentering enter *#0*# for testing menu and it does not see the pen I believe it is hardware.
I just bought a galaxy note 9 for about 3 days. it came with android pie preinstalled, from day one I had one very annoying problem with my s pen. Whenever I insert my s pen into the phone for more than 2 hours or so, after removing the s pen for writing, the s pen doesn’t write and work on screen for about 1 to 4 minutes and the screen doesn’t recognize the s pen but after that everything goes back to normal.
I should mention that I tried rebooting the phone, clearing the cache partition, factory resetting the phone and resetting the s pen remote and also I turn off the s pen remote function but none of these method worked for me. (I should point out that the s pen remote function works fine) I kept s pen out of the phone for about 12 hours and then test the s pen on screen and it was perfectly working fine and I also tried with my note 4’s s pen on note 9 screen and the writing was without a problem. I feel that my note 4 s pen is way better than the note 9 s pen and also the pressure sensitivity of note 4 s pen on note9 screen is better for example I had to press very hard on screen with note 9 s pen to get the same line thickness that I can create with note 4 s pen with much less pressure.
In short whenever I keep my s pen in the phone for more than two hours the s pen doesn’t write on screen and completely hangs for 1 to 4 minutes and then works normal.
Please somebody help me because my phone doesn’t have a warranty and I don’t want to stuck with this problem after coming from legendary note 4.
Sounds like a hardware problem to me. The spen slot sounds faulty. You need to borrow another note 9 spen to test.
