Hello everyone, Im coming from a note 2 and having the "popup browser" was really convenient. I'm not sure if the Note 4 has one or not. Or if i'm jus not looking hard enough.
Does anyone have any input on or if the note 4 comes with a popup browser?
Thanks in advance

You can also long press on certain apps from the recent apps menu.
You can just long press the back button from any screen to bring up the multi window tray and tap (not long press) any app to launch in a floating window. This include the stock browser and chrome.
Hello xda'rs! I just upgraded to the note 5 64gb verizon from an antique galaxy s3. Huge technology boost for me so a bit slow on the learning curve coming to the note series.
On my s3 I had an options button just left of the home button that I could tap while in certain apps and access app options. On the note 5 that button is now a "recent apps" button. I'm sorry if this is a noob question but I have tried playing with multiple settings all day to change this "recent apps" button to a "menu" button.
Menu buttons have been eliminated most apps have a touch "menu" usually composed of 3 dots. I don't typically find myself frequently accessing said menus anymore

Click to collapse
Just hold your back key for about 2 Sec, Menu will pop up. ?

Since the launch of the Galaxy S5, Samsung has done away with the Menu Button. Me having had a GS2, a GS4, and an M8, I found it a little awkward as well, even though I knew of the changes. Muscle Memory kept screwing me up LOL. Now I don't screw up as much anymore since having the Note 5 for a few days.
Hi all,
Note 5 Long Press Back Button for Side Bar feature is missing or any settings to Enable that. I am using Note 5 after Note 2 so m confused if Samsung has removed that option !!
I also came from a Note 2, and I'm fairly certain that they changed the way multiwindow is used. First you have to have the apps you want to use open so they chow up in recent apps. Then you click the recent apps button and there will be a set of rectangles to the left of the "x" button on the top right of any multi-window enabled apps, click the rectangles icon and it will open in the one side, then you select the other app from the list that remains.
Edit: Well I stand corrected, you now long press the recent apps button to access that, but its not a sidebar.
Ohk so they have removed the sidebar feature !!
Does anyone know how to bring up the side menu when holding down the back button like on the note 4? or is that just not a feature on the note 5?
On Note 5 you have to press and hold the Menu button. And is showing on the bottom on lollipop 5.1.1 Is the multiwindow app.

If the menu button is the long hold on the back button then it doesn't work for my phone. There used to be a setting on the Note 4 where I could turn that feature on/off but I can't seem to find that feature on the Note 5..
Please Help!
With one button navigation..how can we use split acreen. In legacy mode pressing square enables split screen so please can someone advise me
Swipe the home button to see the running apps. Press and hold the app you want to see in the split screen and drag it to the upper part of your screen.
Also knuckle gesture across the screen, or slide 2 fingers up from the bottom.
Thanks a lot..loving this phone after spending 7 months with iPhone 7
