Dropzone problem - Huawei Ascend P7

hello everyone
I've had a trouble for some time right now, when I receive a facebook message, there is a popup that appears telling me that Facebook hqs been blocked from dropzone which makes the chathead unusable.
I've seen a lot of topics regarding that issue with the P6 and haven't found anything with the P7 (I don't find the phonemanage option in the setting nor the two lines that I have to edit in the build.prop which are the two solutions given for the P6)
can someone help me please?
thanks a lot

Hi,
I've you tried the dropzone settings in the Phone Manager App ?

The thing is I'm stupid ... I don't know why but I thought that was in the setting windows ... I never thought about checking in my app drawer ... It works perfectly fine!!! Thanks a lot!!!!

[Q] [PATCH REQUEST] Add ADD "SENDING NETWORK TIMESTAMP" OPTION to received SMS

[Q] [PATCH REQUEST] Add ADD "SENDING NETWORK TIMESTAMP" OPTION to received SMS
Dear all,
the problem is simple...as is possible to notice, when sms arrive the displayed time is the received and not the sent one...
this fact is valid for all the new generation smartphones, iPhone included..
=> I really hate this fact because sometimes happens that my phone is off or it has not signal and, after the signal is back again, I receive tons of SMS with the same time....and perhaps some of them all already "expired" since they are referred to a past event...
old phones like Nokias, ecc. displayed ALWAYS the "sent time" and not the "received one"...
I've seen that has been already opened an issue on the Android Dev Code : http ://code. google. com/p/android/issues/detail?id=2989
what is more interesting to observe is that seems the base SMS application (but also Handcent SMS) uses the local handset time for the date called thru System.currentTimeMillis()...(http ://code. google .com/p/android/issues/detail?id=2989#c40)
and, as I've seen ([http ://code. google .com/p/android/issues/detail?id=2989#c39) it is possible to set the "network time" using the Android.Telephony.smsMessage.getTimestampMills()
now..could someone look into this issue and try to write a patch for our Galaxy S (but also for other phones should be the same..)? because I've not so much time and I'm not very familiar with Android code..
thank you very much,
Alessandro
up
please...could someone consider this? don't you think it's an interesting feature?
I would like this feature .
I for one would welcome this change.
I'll try to write some code today and see if I can read the timestamp.

I would like to see this in action too. I'm fed up of Android not supporting some of the most basic cell phone features .

many thanks
and I think it will also useful for all the Android community!!
oh... i used to view the properties of the msg to read the sent time with nokix, already forgot that it should be sent time but not rec time
Where is possible to find the sources of the native Android SMS application?
Could anyone post them (or something similar?)..then I'll try to hack the code
If i remember correct, the HTC Desire did not have this issue with default sms client.
Hope someone will find a fix for this annoying issue soon.
Possible fix
I know it's a little late but I found an app called SMS Timestamper Fix that seems to be working so far and it's free. Hope this helps.

Bump. I once had a mms.apk that had the sent timestamp instead of received timestamp. Now no developer knows how to recreate it.

[Q] Help me people!

Hello people, how are you doing all? I am a new member and this is my first post. To be honest, I was searching on the web for a solution for my problem but really I haven't found any. My problem with my ((HTC Sensation XL)) device is that when I started using wireless internet connection and downloaded some books applications my device started to get slow :crying: and when I log in to any application on it it opens normally but when I press the back arrow it takes time to display the home screen and a small box appears with a circle in it and "loading" sentence. Another problem I have is that in the notification bar a statement of "importing books, please wait for a moment..." as if an application is downloading books without my permission, I tried so much to remove it but when I tap on it, it doesn't want to open!
Please friends, if anyone can help me to solve this disaster I will be thankful really cuz if it continued with me any longer I will be like :silly: :cyclops:
Thank you in advance.
Greetings from Libya
Well, I would delete the apps you installed right before the problems began and see if that helps out. For your second problem try going into settings-apps-all and find download manager and delete it's data to see if that stops the unknown download notification.

Prolems With Whatsapp on my P7-L10

Hello everyone!
For the last two month I've been a happy Ascend P7-L10 owner (except for the music player, but that's another story). I just faced a little problem recently when my girlfriend left for China (compulsory semester in a foreign school), as we now only use whatsapp to talk. My problem is that I receive my whatsapp with, sometimes, a 30 mins delay. As there is a 6 hours gap between Bejing and Brussel (where I live) I can't/don't want to miss any of her whatsapp, I've thus switched back to my old iPhone 4 which works perfectly fine for Whatsapp.
Long story short, I would like to know if there is something I got wrong in the configuration which can cause such a delay. Has any one of you faced the same problem and solved it? I would LOVE to go back to my Ascend device.
I don't know if it's worth mentioning but I'm on stock ROM, which I rooted (if that makes any differences).
thanks a lot for your help!

OK everyone, as nobody seems to know and I found a solution, Imma post it right here:
Push Notifications Fixer (root or non root) fixed my issue and I now receive my Whatsapp as soon as they are sent (tested about 10 times with my brother, at different moments of the day). I hope this is gonna help some of you too!

Well that was the case and I still didn't get my notifications immediately, I often times had a delay The problem is solved with the program I gave in my previous post so I'm happy anyway.

Inbox notofications

Hi everybody.
I'm writing this in order to find out if someone else is having the same issue.
I bought a Nexus 6 a month ago coming from an HTC M8 (with GPE 6.0 on board).
When I set the new device I decided to "restore from Google account" all the settings and apps without unlocking or rooting it.
Everything went fine and started using (with great pleasure) the "big boy".
Since ten days (a couple of weeks after) Inbox app decided to give me notifications of new emails just... when it wants to. I have "good days" when everything works smooth and others when I have to open the app to discover I have several unread messages.
I tried uninstalling the app, use GMail instead but the same issue came out. I tried deleting caches and data but nothing: same behavior.
Hoped 6.0.1 (got the OTA) could solve but no, nothing.
Does anybody have some hint to solve this?
It's getting me crazy...
Thx

well, you are asking in the wrong place, so you might not get any responses http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/attention-questions-t3228454
ill adk a mod to move this thread there.
and, do you have inbox and gmail set to sync in your main settings, accounts, google..?
From what I can tell it's caused by doze. I only notice it if I sit my phone on a desk I don't get any email notifications but once I turn it on I immediately get a notification for a bunch of emails. I know theres some apps for fiddling with doze settings but I think you can go and turn inbox's "Battery optimization" off and it should be exempt from doze.

Damn'... Sorry about that. Late night when I posted and I messed up with the subforum. Thank you anyway to make it move to the right place. And yes, I do have sync on settings, otherwise it would never work, not just sometimes

Didn't think about Doze... But if this is the problem everyone should have the issue, am I wrong?
BTW I'm going to check today if it works.
Thank you by now.
Update: Doze disabled for Inbox but problem persists... Any other suggestion?

I am having the same issue in my new Nexus5X (coming from Nexus5). Unlocked, but not rooted.
This is the first page I found while googling for the issue.
Do you have any news regarding it?
Update: http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/0...syncing-issues-in-gmail-inbox-and-other-apps/ at least we are not alone :-/
This began happening before doze. I had this on this phone on Lollipop. I had it on my Xperia Z1s.

New user looking to kick the hackers from my devices.

Hello all and thanks for having such an awesome app! , I stumbled upon this app while searching the software info of the various programming and apps in the "about phone" menu of my Galaxy note 10. I am experiencing hacking issues on all of my devices. With that being said I'm happy to be here and hopefully I can learn a thing it two as well as get some help and give some if possible.

Disconnect your internet and there will be no more hackers!
Now seriously, maybe an antivirus for the computer or doing a factory reset on the phones can solve the problem? Something you downloaded created backdoors on your devices

That's the thing, I've got VPN, Blockada DNS, and don't (well try not to click why suspicious links or texts) how would one go about getting them out?. I've factory reset before and it seems everytime I do something to get them out they retaliate by disabling Bluetooth, blocking texts, emails, phone calls just to name a few. I've even gotten a new phone and that didn't help.
