[Q] Camera Gallery VS Photos Gallery

I have noticed something and wanted to poll everyone to see if someone knows the answer.
T-Mobile Nexus 6 - Stock no mods.
If I take a picture with the camera app and swipe my finger to the left to access the recent photos, when I double tap to zoom in the result is very CRISP, Vivid and sharp image, full of detail.
Now if i go to my Photo app icon because I don't have one that says "Gallery" on the nexus 6 and i do the same thing on the same picture (double tap to zoom) the result is NOT as sharp, crisp, vivid as the same image in the camera gallery.
Its the same images, same size, only one looks better from the camera app as oppose to the photos app....does anyone know why this is?
Has anyone tried this?
Thanks

Yeah, not a fan of the Photos app myself. I disabled it and installed QuickPic from the Play Store. I highly recommend it. It has no advertising and has a super clean UI. Similar to the gallery app we had for KK, but with added features.
Why not just download the lollipop updated gallery on the playstore
I am also looking for an answer to this. Unlike most, I do like the photos app but on many an occasion the backed up photo does not appear as crisp.

Nice! Thanks.....helped me out.
I recommend checking out My Roll.
It's a beautiful material design app that creates moments and has the ability to select which folders to include on the fly. Recommend it for sure after trying the HTC Gallery, Motorola Gallery and stock.

Quickpic vs Stock Gallery App

Is there any possible way to make a 3rd party app like Quickpic the default gallery the camera uses?? One of the most annoying things is taking a pic with this phone, clicking the pic the see it and having to wait seconds before it loads up. I normally use Quick Pic as my main gallery but i can't seem to find a way to make Quickpic the default gallery app the camera uses.

camera app changed?

Something happened to my camera app, not exactly sure when. The desktop icon changed. And it is no longer linked to google photos... also in google photos I don't find a setting to add a direct connection. So maybe google photos changed (also)? Can someone confirm or explain this? Am I missing something? Swiping to the left used to get me into google photos and review pictures right after they were taken. Now swiping just moves between mode selection, camera and video. I am running Oreo 8.0 Feb.1 patch on a rooted US AndroidOne X4
The camera app just updated.
And now it no longer couples to google photos? That's some improvement...
there is some problem in video recording mode for 1080p60fps
normal and wide angle icons works in opposite way
if u press on wide angle icon, u get narrow field of view
and if u press normal icon, u get a little wide field of view

Shortcut to video mode of stock camera?

Hello,
Is there a way to make a shortcut to the videomode of the stock camera, that I can place on the homescreen? For photos, I use a modded google camera port. But for video I'd like to use the stock camera, without having to swipe to get to the video mode.
Thanks in advance!

Question GCam Gallery not working

I have the latest Wichaya's GCam on my Z8. Started having a problem - after taking a picture I click on gallery button (at the bottom right) to view the picture just taken. The picture flashes on the screen for a second then vanishes and the camera preview stays black.
I had this problem before and solved it before in the GCam settings Advanced > Use a third party gallery - turning this off and then back on.
No luck this time. Any Ideas that I could try?
Thanks.
