Hello all. I've been searching for devs which own Butterfly S but cant find it anywhere, so i'm asking around XDAto get some answers. I want to port/make an AOSP/CM/GPE (KK or Lollipop) ROM for BS, and want someone to help. I dont know anything about it, and I'm willing to pay to someone to do so. I just want an AOSP look on BS with everything working or at least someone to guide me through the process. Hope someone can help me.
Thanks

I installed a black theme primarily for gettin the battery percentage, but now I got a widget..so i want to revert back to the stock ROM..how do i do that?
also, what tools/knowledge do i need to make my own themes/colour changes?
all tools and all knowledge you need you can find in this forum.
don`t be lazy and search like everyone else here.
well..forget about the tools then..at least tell me how to get a stock theme back??
i did search and all that comes up are other threads about various themes, with about 100 replies each...
forgive me then for thinking that these forums were here to help..clearly you're not the helping type...if you cant be bothered helping, best thing is to not reply and wait for someone else to reply who will be happy to help..
what do you want stock theme or stock rom? you can just flash a rom with the stock theme over top of what you have. nandroid first of course. this is the most obvious/clear solution i can think of. I.E. if you're running cyanogen with a morph or a theme and you want to get back to the stock theme, just reflash the CM rom over top of what you have, all settings will be saved.

if you want mod themes/roms, you are failing at the first mission. you have to learn how to use google or the forum search so you are able to find the info you need. it is normal to read threads with more then 100 postings, in this threads are often a lot of informations. i did it the same way. if you want something, do something for it. why should someone else do the searching for you?

read this. if you don`t understand something, search in forums. if you really find no info after a long search, you can ask in this subforum.
i know where to find themes..i can see about themes on the forum at modaco, i can see the themes here, i can see the special thread with all the morphs..i know how to use google and the search....
i wasnt asking anyone to do the searching for me..on normal forums, you ask a question and someone who knows answers..you dont expect someone to search and tell you the answer..on forums if i see a question i can answer, i answer it..i dont tell that person to go search for it..
anyway..enough about that..thanks for the link
moved to the Q&A forum
hey guys, i know that i posted this in OT and i could be wrong.
I wanted someone to help the DFG forums by making a bootloader for the S5620 Monte. Since 2 years ago there was a project called Montedroid that is scheduled to be "live" in 2010 but a developer that should've created the bootloader went missing. I told the remaining Montedroid developers to ask for a help at xda.
So can anyone help them on this problem? I appreciate your help at this .
Samsung Monte GT-S5620 specs
Existing builds, no bootloader
^^Bump, bump
Come on, at least someone reply no or yes...
I'll ask them to donate, i'll give you that
Hello devs! im trying to port a rom from the infuse, the zeus rom.i do not have permissions from the dev of the rom to port it so its only for personal use and for any one who can help port the rom. Unless dman the dev asks me to release publicly for the device. I googled how to do it follow step by step instructions and tried a few different base roms but i cant get it to boot(stays on i9000 screen) Ive tried to figure oet how to modify the updater script and whatnot but im kinda new to coding(I think this is where my problem is is in the script). right now its a learning process for me, I got a pretty good learning curve so i can catch on really quick. I really like the rom so i relly want to do it. I already sent dman a message asking for his expertice cause he built it so we might also get his help with the project. any help is great and you will be mentioned if it ever goes public.
Thanks!
bump cause i really want to use this rom
Hello all devs and HTC One users. I've been searching a lot on XDA, Google and all over internet but couldnt find a better place to post this. I just got a HTC Butterfly S and wish to use CM, Paranoid, Carbon or ANY other rom which I can use CM Themes Engine and have an AOSP look. I had a HTC Sensation before, and loved everything I had using CM ROM.
I wished some dev here could port any of this ROMs to this device, I know is not an easy job. I already tried to do such work, but all tutorials, guides and etc on XDA refer to a BASE ROM, and my device is unsupported, so I cant have a base ROM to port. I know M7 has almost the same specs as ButterflyS, so maybe is a little easier.
I hope someone can help me, because I THINK I did all I can. Thanks :good:
--EDIT--
I'd like to know how XDA works with hiring devs to do such work, I can donate money, it will be not for free. Thanks
PS: Sorry for my bad english.

We dont "hire" devs. Development starts from the people that use the device. Even big name roms will not work on a device that someone on the team doesnt own.
So your best bet would be to find someone with the device, Then track down all the kernel and device source code.

Thanks zelendel, I understood now. I'll contact some devs to see if they can help me. Do you know someone I can start with? Thanks once again
So I don't have much experience, but I'm trying to create a device tree for this device. If any of you guys are willing to help out, let me know. I will be updating this post with my work.
