Running smooth, but had a hiccup.
I flashed the ROM, nano pa gapps, and the qremote app. First boot gave constant phone and media has stopped error.
Went back and installed without the qremote app and everything is smooth.
Think I found the answer on the G+ page but just to verify, this AOSP base?

You on 2.8.1 recovery?
And by clean flash you wiped cache, dalvek chance, system, and data?
Also try different gapps maybe? I use 7-29 banks minimal.
Did you flash anything else with the ROM and gapps? As shown above, one poster was having issues flashing the qremote.
You need to give more information.

I am currently porting Android 5.0 to the D415, this is a incomplete, non-booting rom.
As of now, the ROM boots into the system, but hangs on the boot animation.
This thread is for dev's to assist me in finishing the port.
Devs: Please post here for the password for the download if you would like to help me figure out the issue.

I love stock OS. Mainly because it was less buggy than CM team messes up one thing or another everyday.
CM is little more customizable also.
But if stock guarantees more stability I will defnetly love it. Is stock really more stable?

I'm sorry, but when you say stock do you mean the lg stock ROM, or aosp ROM. Sorry if I sound stupid I just haven't heard about lg pushing their update or a leak of it.

Lol, I have the same question too. I think stock was mainly said by Nexus users to refer to their original ROM.
I think Stock = Original google source
LG stock = LG software
Still no idea
I am building from pure stock aosp source (Google source). So it will be completely stock android 5.0

PAC-ROM LP-MR1.Beta-1 5.1.1
I built this and figured I'd share it with everyone. As far as I can tell, the nightlies on their site wouldn't be 39a based.
All credit goes to the Pac-Rom team. As well as JackpotClavin for the info on how to get 39a based roms building.
This rom has all the normal features of PAC-ROM.
Installation Instructions:
Ensure working sensors in a 39a stock rom.
Factory Reset
Install Rom
Install GAPPS
Reboot
Profit
Bugs:
(Same as in most 39a based roms)
GPS doesn't properly show that it has a lock
Baseband Unkown
Last build date: 29APR2015
Download: pac_vs980_LP-MR1.Beta-1.Unofficial_20150511-132802

To the PAC-TEAM: If there's an issue with me posting this up, please let me know.

Thanks bro for sharing this. Was hoping/figured you would.
But the work you've already put in on the kernel, I'm sure this will run as well if not better than the officials. (Kernel base aside)

Works fine for me.
I also noticed that the screen actually turns back on like it should when you remove the phone from your face during a call (to enter dial codes). It didn't work for me on Euphoria... Which was driving me nuts.
I've also pulled in a theme change from blisspop to make the reboot menu dark on dark themes vice white. If anyone's interested in that, I can upload it. But it's not really a big change, just something that had been annoying me.
Thanks ...
Can't live without DT2W ... Will try your ROM as soon as I get home...
I hope BT can pair with my 2014Toyota ... all 5.1 ROMs I've tried just can't (as soon as TxTMessaging/Contact-Sharing feature is activated --> FCing).
does this need a clean install coming from another 39A ROM? Specifically Euphoria?

So dumb question but I really don't know how the whole building thing works. My question is why all the unofficial, what is to stop the ROM teams from just using your builds (like this one or Amit's or JPC's) as their official builds instead of the old 12b crap

It's unofficial because anyone can build anything they want, that's the beauty of open source.
For it to be an official build though, you have to go through the process for the rom.
http://pac-rom.com/#BecomeAMaintainer
For instance, for Pac-Rom.
However, since there are still at least 2 issues with these roms (baseband unkown, and the lack of GPS lock) I'm not sure that they'd even be willing to take them on as Official Builds.
*edit*
Also, if you put up unofficial builds and try to pass them off as official builds... the team can report them to XDA to be removed, if you do it enough... XDA might just ban you.
Yeah I understand the open source thing, I was just wondering because so far after being on 39a for a while now. It seems a lot better than when I was still on 12b, improved battery life, and much more. I was just wondering cause I guess I was just wishing they would all go to the new sources. Thanks for the reply and the info.

CM12.1 is here for the VS980, aka the Verizon LG G2.
This is a source build rom, which includes all the latest changes from cm. The nightlies are starting August 2nd.
Instructions
Official support is now limited to Kitkat and Lollipop basebands. CM-12.1 is based on a completely new kernel. This has enabled support for the latest basebands newer than jellybean.
While many people and devices are in various states we officially recommend flashing back to stock then fully updating your device before using cm-12.1.
If you are coming straight from cm-12.0 the rom will not boot.
Download cm-12.1, and gapps. Put them on your sdcard, reboot to recovery. Flash, and enjoy!
The latest will be available at:

Yes, more guidance here would be appreciated. I'm on JPCs 5.0.2 and 26A.
I construed that to mean you want to have your sensors all working on 39a. I clean wiped from Jackpot Calvin's rom and 39a...running well since this morning.

Ok so just coming from completely stock 39a shouldn't be a problem right (assuming sensors work and root/recovery are in place)?
Just be sure your GPS locks and auto rotate work, then backup and flash away.

I was already on 39a with Jackpot Clavin's CM so I just wiped and flashed.
Just installed this (came from JPC's CM 12.1), and everything seems great so far except for the camera, which crashes whenever you try to open the app. Tried both dirty and clean flashing.

No flashlight either...there doesn't appear to be any app installed either. I'm guessing the flashlight uses the camera drivers somehow so it would make sense that they are related.
I do have rotation though.
Great thanks. I'm trying to keep an eye on this. If the official is now up to par with the latest bootstack, I'll be switching back.

I tried Google camera and open camera, plus the default one. None are working.

CM12.1 is here for the D802, aka the LG G2.
The latest will be available at:
http://get.cm/?device=d802

It's already branch long time but it's not released yet.
Right now I'm using last one of rashed unofficial builds.
Is working awesome!, no problems at all.
Be ready guys
PS I have compiled cm12.1 from official sources cause official builds are too lazy to build (lol), but wodim reported some problems with camera... can be mine fault idk. (too lazy to check it myself ).

it needs jellybean bootloader and kitkat baseband? how can i dump right modem from KDZ file?
That's great news, cm12.1 for the D802.
The 1st nightly build is already available.
Probably I'm going to test it tonight on my backup D802.
Question: which bootloaders and radios are supported, LP or KK?
Flashed first nightly over my self cm12.1 build. It works as expected no problems.
If you coming from early versions read instructions. Clean install advised.
Just to clarify.... I'm coming from Temasek CM12.1.... i shouldn't have to do anything to my BL/BS/BB right?
