If you have GT-I8190 ( N ) (L) try pac rom from tenshi or omnirom from the Golden-guy they are both great, they don't have too many features but they are very battery friendly and smooth
Cm11 have bast battery life
But u need to try it
Using the thank button it not
So herd gest press it
its a matter of opinion depending on want you use it for, try them all & see which one suits your needs best, make sure it is built for your version (N) (L) & thank devs for their hard work. turning off wifi, data, gps when not using can help battery life too.
best rom threads not allowed either

wifi, data, gps, brightness is of. but very bad battery life. Cm11 have a new relaese. should i install, or using aokp omni carbon rom?
Stock ROM'da şarj çok çok daha iyi gidiyor. CM'de Parlaklık en kısıkta Wi-Fi açık iken dakikada %2 götürüyor.
i would recommend slimkat.
maclaw's cyanogenmod 11 and carbonrom used to be good at battery life but for me now they suck at it. maybe you can find a previous release that is good.
I am using OmniROM. For me it has the same battery life as stock.
If my battery life was too short in the past the reason were wakelocks of an app. I found them with BetterBatteryStats.

I Want to know like many others wich ROM do you guys think is the best for ours o2x
miui 101 together with vadonkas kernel, is awesome! I really like the miui experience so no cm7, thats why

I like the stock-like roms, so I'm using Thanathos and the phone is flying, literally never been so fast. Only negative is reeboots around once a day.
Thanks to all that voted already, come on keep the thread up xD
I think a CM KANG along with vadonkas KANG kernel is the best combination for our phone.
I think it'd nice if people also shared their opinion about their preferred ROM, like why they believe it's better than the others in terms of stability, battery life and so on.

Si yo como tal tampoco he votado, he probado todas las que coloque en la encuesta, pero orita estoy en CM7 de temasek creo que me quedare con esta aunq la de topogigi tambien me parece excelente.

I would suggest CM7 temasek kang or gueste hybrid v3. Both give the best experience for me in using optimus 2x
Sent from my Optimus 2X using Tapatalk
I'm using CM7 ntly 204 with Vorkkernel, because it is the most stable I have had, it doesnt't drain much Battery and it's fast.
Guestes v2.2 and 3.0 didn't work for me. Also the Ironkernel was unstable on my device.
But everyone should try out a few roms and then choose their favorite.
As Stefan said, for some who knows why in the heck reason some custom roms run on certain O2X's just fine and on others not

You're right, sorry about that. Basically, I told him that I didn't vote because I haven't tried any ROMs yet and was interested in knowing which are the popular ones among XDA members.
That's spanish, BTW (just in case you were wondering )
So far, it seems that your KANG is the thing ^^
Definitely Cyanogenmod 7...fast and pretty stable
I'm running the latest MIUI with owains tweaks and vadonkas kernel. Super smooth and reliable. No SODS or reboots. Battery lasts all day (just!) but it is overclocked to 1.4GHz...
CM7 seems to have the lead, MIUI goes behind, maybe MIUI isn't that great for some users (like myself) because it looks a lot like iOS, but is a great ROM too..

That's what I don't like about MIUI. I don't want my phone to look like IOS.
It's based on CM7 anyway..
I tried temaseks build with vadonkas kernel yesterday, and I really liked it.
I recommend that to everyone who hasn't tried it yet.

Add AndroidON's smooth scrolling and its WIN.
Django, I like stock.
I have tried all of the roms and I prefer gueste hybrid v3 because of the LG apps and widgets.

Well, I guess you could make a backup of stock 2.3.5 ROM in CWM, but the thing is, you may not be able to restore the ROM. Actually stock ROMs don't support the backup/restore option in CWM recovery. For that you'll need customized deodexed ROM I suppose, simply a Custom ROM.

If the Custom ROM doesn't boot (Or gives a bootloop) :
- Enter CWM recovery
- Wipe Data/cache/Dalvik-cache/battery stats
- Install the ROM
- Again Wipe data/cache/dalvik-cache/battery stats
- Reboot system
If it doesn't work again, then probably the downloaded zip file maybe corrupt. Better option is to re-download/download another custom ROM and flash it as mentioned above.
Anyways, you could return to stock ROM anytime you want by simply installing it through odin.
Thanks!
thanks for this topic i will try this.

Definitly great rom!, cause i have used it for several months and i know it. good battery life and very fast and smooth overall
im using amcha rom too right now, and im pretty happy with it although its not as much as fast and smooth as aosp roms. i have boeffla kernel 5.3 beta3 selinux permissive installed with amcha and applied some performance tweaks in boeflla config app, still pretty smooth. if you are using stock kernel currently, try amcha with boeffla or agni kernel when you first install it in aroma installer, and apply some tweaks and then see if it gets faster
