open command prompt in that directory and flash:

Click to collapse
if mfastboot doesnot work then try fastboot

Hit thanks if it helps

Works only on 1063?

Just check out this thread, it should work with XT1068 too:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/official-chainfire-auto-root-moto-g-t2940193
"Includes XT1063 and 2 variations of XT1068 versions."

I am not sure, it worked for me and I have XT1063
for XT1064, check the other thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/xt1064-lollipop-root-t2938051
[I rooted my device with this when I had ritaws on it]

Cannot load 'Access' bootloader

I am new to rooting and unlocking my new HTC One. I have had great pleasure in doing the same to my galaxy nexus in the past but this one has got me beat.
I have unlocked the bootloader via the HTC site. I have the latest drivers installed and showing OK in the device manager.
I am trying to load a TWRP on my phone without any succes. I can see it listed in the HTC tool kit I have. Its listed as 'SH****** fastboot device. I click install recovery but nothing happens.
I have tried it through the CMD prompt also but get the error 'cannot load'
Can someone please help as I'm desperate to root and install a custom Rom on my phone.
Thanks in advance.

Are you sure you have the right recovery .img file? What's the file size of the recovery? Should be around 8MB.
It should be its 8.43MB in size.
I got it from here.

you're forgetting ".img" in the file name, "DIR" on your computer and then use the full file name of the recovery, that's all
EDIT: I think it's called "openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-m7.img" (unless you saved it under a different name)
so fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-m7.img
EDIT 2: just saw you folder
fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.6.3.0.img
Thanks for that,I've finally been able to install a recovery and also install my first ROM as well.

Root 5.0 Lollipop (LRX21O)

Download CF-auto root from here Link
You can just run the bat file but that will erase all the data.
Easiest and fastest way to do it is. Get the 'CF-Auto-Root-hammerhead-hammerhead-nexus5' file from the image folder of the zip you just downloaded.
Boot your phone to fastboot mode.
Type this in your cmd- fastboot boot CF-Auto-Root-hammerhead-hammerhead-nexus5.img
You should see a Red android on your phone and bunch of text.
That's it.
Or just flash this boot img followed by supersu - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56702681
Sent from my Android 5.0 Nexus 5
I won't wipe your device if the bootloader is already unlocked. I did it this way last night.

[Q] How badly is my device ****ed up?

Ok, so here's the deal. I flashed RETAILDSDSALL_XT1068_4.4.4_KXB21.85-23_cid7_CFC.xml on my 2014 EU Moto G XT1068 and now ADB is unauthorized on my PC when I try to boot it up but the device isn't even detected in Fastboot, so I can't flash jack ****, but I can access the stock recovery and ADB Sideload from there.
The phone is stuck in a boot loop - it just sticks to the WARNING - BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED screen.
What do I do? Any help is greatly appreciated.

if you came down from 5.0.2 to 4.4.4 without a full factory reset / wipe it hangs..... fixable
this zip in my signature has everything you need
download the 4.4.4 easy installer in my signature (choose correct .23 version -dsdsall) has instructions, all drivers , adb files and firmware and a auto restore script - that should fix

Thanks.

Hello guys, first, I'm sorry but I'm not good on english...

Any helps?

Yes, already done with over 5 roms from diferents links.
But you used XT1069 Roms?
Which errors appear when you try to flash the rom via fastboot? And did you try a Factory Reset?

Right click the recovery image, click on rename. Name it recovery for simplicity. Put it in the folder where fastboot, adb etc. is.
Open cmd, direct it to your working folder. Type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img Not recovery .img.img

It seems you are still typing the wrong thing. Type in:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Just copy/paste the above code in your command prompt.
That is just to get the custom recovery TWRP on your phone.
Next download the SuperSU app and you will see a # symbol in your notifications to let you know you need to download the su binaries.
Choose the TWRP option and it will reboot the phone to TWRP recovery.
It may restart after it is done or you will have to press Back and choose Reboot then System. I just did this and I received an error in TWRP. I simply rebooted and SuperSU is working perfect and I have root access.

You have two options:

I've seen that before. It usually means you have more than one adb.exe or it could really just be out of date. HTC Sync Manager and WinDroid both come with their own adb. I got rid of those two and the problem went away.
Type in the command prompt, in the same folder as adb.exe
Code:
adb version
The newest one is 1.0.32, just to rule out you don't have an older version.

It's no hassle, I just wanted to point that out to you.
Are you sure it is 4.4.3 or are you referring to an error message? Our phone should be 4.4.2. Even though one of the custom ROMs says 4.4.4.

I followed this guide instead http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/general/guide-how-to-unlock-install-recovery-t2988292 and i launched it and it said this version is a development build and it ran. Now should it be rooted or is there another step i have to do? I just did root checker and it said that the root has been installed correctly
Thank you all. You have been a great help and i am hugely beyond belief grateful. The root has worked.
