[Boot Animation] Android Honeycomb Carbon Fiber

I don't really know what to call it... but I'm excited about this boot animation that I made. lol So, figured I'd share it with all of you.

Attached are two versions:
bootanimation_v1 is like the animation shows, the... swishy thing only goes one direction.

bootanimation_v2 the swishy thing goes both directions. I was just too lazy to make another animation for it.

How do I do that? I noticed that the resolution isn't that good on my phone (Droid) compared to what it should be... like when I look at it on my computer. I think there's some compression... but don't know how to fix that.

I've never done a bootanimation before, but I do know that in order to be hi def (nexus one, incredible, etc) the images should be 800x480. Right now the images are 455x256 which is almost half as what they should be so that's why the resolution isn't very good. I don't remember from the top of my head what the resolution for the Droid is but I can assure you its not 455x256 either. Once all the images are changed to the correct resolution, then just change the size in the desc file and it should work.

Haha. Welcome. I wasn't sure it was going to work. I did have it through the Tonido file share thing... but it doesn't work when my computer is off. So... had to think of another way. Haha.

[LWP]Doctor Who Flying in TARDIS!

I love doctor who so i decided to make a live wallpaper of the TARDIS flying through the time vortex.
I used Balian67 boot animation pics and Daneshm90 live wallpaper creator to make the LWP.
Obviously credit goes to Balian67 for the animation pics and Daneshm90 for the live wallpaper creator. (If either of you want me to take this down for any reason let me know and its done)
Edit-In the options set the wallpaper to big so it will fit the hole screen. I also found that the best frame rate is 25.
Heres a animated GIF of what the LWP looks like.

Was looking forward to installing this one as I can not find any Doctor Who live wallpapers. Just force closes on my Nexus S. I agree with the other poster that you should try to put this on the Market. The preview looks great!

Very nice job - but shouldn't you be careful? Someone will steal it and get money for it! I hope not

Feature request! Screen widget to turn animation on and off!
Could this be done? Just a small widget that would let you disable the animation. I have two reasons for wanting this:
Save battery life for when you aren't showing off the effect.
I love, love the animation but sometimes it is distracting if I'm working with widgets and other things on screens. It would just be handy to temporarily stop the distraction. Know what I mean?
I'm not sure if this can be done or not. If you can control background animations via widgets...man there's probably a bunch of things you could do.

HD Widgets. Picked it up during the 10cent app deal. It retired my Beautiful widgets.
EDIT: Just got another pack of stylus for 5$ and a 4$ kindle fire case in the mail today. Total 9$ and free 2day prime shipping. I purchased the case just to hold me over till I get one that was made for the nexus 7, but it fits perfectly and I really like everything about it. Only negatives are there is no magnet in the cover, and no speaker cut out(but if you have the case in portrait stand mode, the speaker is uncovered), but again, it was made for the kindle fire and it was less than 5 bucks. This is the second time Ive bought these stylus from the same seller. They are cheap but they out perform the more expensive stylus I have, and I can leave them places and not worry about it. I should be getting a 5$ 5 pack of screen protectors in along with 2 XOskins either today or monay. Will add some more pics then.

I really like your setup. How did you manage to fit all those widgets down in the column like that? I tried doing it but it's too big. Did you change the grid size? Also how do you remove the google search?

HD Widgets for clock/weather/toggles.
Naked still. Ordered a black RooCase from eBay. Much faster shipping than waiting for amazon.

As you can see, this lucky guy managed to get and use the Nexus already. Discuss!

Probably a store manager who demo'ed it to some employees. There are additional apps, which shows at least a decent amount of time with the device. Perhaps someone carrying it around as a teaching tool?
I'm hoping it's there already though. I can't imagine it would be too difficult to go there (Heerhugowaard) and snoop around with some of the more knowledgeable-looking employees.

On my monitor it doesn't look that black, compared to the bezel. The Gnex in that sort of lighting would appear ink black.

I've heard this is the best screen for smartphones ever (on the optimus G, I guess its the same one..). So it should be amazing on blacks, whites, and everything in the middle. Oh, and super bright too!

Damn, it does indeed look like an AMOLED in terms of contrast!

Check out this table and see for yourself. It's definitely not capable of showing true black, but that was to be expected. The Nex4 does indeed sport the same screen as the [scratch Gnex, stupid me] Optimus G.

Remember though, LCD screens will be blacker in light areas, but in a dark room it will show that off black we see, more like grey.

On the second photo, there's a folder named 'LG' on the homescreen. That's not bloatware is it??

Is that a typo? Surely the Nex4 is nothing like the Gnex. I, for one, will glad to see something similar to the One X, which many declare has the best screen of any smartphone.

Am I the only person who can't stop thinking about the App Drawer, I mean, look at all those apps! They fit so many to one page.

Dude, once again a great start, loved your sense theme
Few initial findings..
1) Dialer looks a bit wierd, but you already said that you are working on it.
2) Circle Mod for the battery didnt work.
3) For s3 sometimes it felt the theme images, sorry for the lack of correct term, the themes/effects that are supposed to be there at the bottom of the page dont quite extend.

The Circle battery mod, in Rootbox is set there.. so I left it out.

Thank you. I try to stay away from colors that other people use, or if I do use those, I try to flip it a little different. If I had more time. I would do better ones. Glad you like it.
