Hello.
I'd like to know what is the maximum size for a micro sd in the Xperia Z.
Officially it's 32 Go. Do you know if 64 or 128 work ?

Officially it's 64 I'm not sure if 128 would work but since that would be exFAT aswell I shouldn't see why there would be any restrictions. I'm also after one at some point
64 works, no experience with 128

Just wondered if anyone knew what the new sony phone was being release that sported a smaller full hd screen than the z? I'm sure i have read it on here somewhere and would appreciate if someone could please tell me what it is.

I would like to tell you that no sony phone other than Xperia Z and ZL with a smaller screen sports a full hd screen. However there are several devices having a resolution with 720x1280.

There are rumours of one. Should be a 4.6" with full HD. But it's a rumor at best.

I think you are talking about xperia sp but that device is not full hd

Nope. Not the SP. This one was supposed to be part of the Z series. There's already a rumor about an Xperia ZR.. But that's 720p.

If camera doesn't matter too much and you lkve flashing roms, and are happy with the dc-hspa speeds then get the nexus. If you decide to go for the XZ make sure it has an unlockable bootloader.

xperia, water resistant
xperia is water resistant and has a bigger screen, nexus 4 has quickest updates.both are really good phones IMO, I was deciding between these two and went for xperia obviously.

Does anyone know what differences are stopping Z roms from running on the ZL? Aren't they almost the same device aside from a couple of minor things? (Camera Button and Infrared) Is it because the screen is different?
I tried searching but nothing gives exact details.

But idd weird, they both have the same SoC.
Maybe make a full backup, and just try?

About 99% sure ZL supports 64GB too.
i had a visit in xperia showroom and i found that ZL screen quality is very poor from Z.
Yes ZL display clarity is poor compare to Z.. Don't know why..!!
Just tried cross flashing a rom to my ZL, BeanStalk 4.4, I had to remove the kernel and modify the updater script, I used the kernel from the CM11 build that's up for the ZL, and the rom works but the screen won't fully turn off, it'll just go black but not off and brightness control doesn't work. Wonder if it'd be possible to include the required files for both the Z and ZL screens...
I've an option of swapping my xperia z for a ZL for a small cost. What do u guys think? I love my ZL but the newer Z is tempting.
All opinions welcome . it will help me to decide

Zl is better if you want a compact phone, but i would go for the z, becoz it has more devs.

no..i meant Z..its new in the box. not newer than z1.
BTW i decided against this swap - went to a sony store to check out the Z against my ZL...didnt quite like the bigger size and the flaps ..have a sony digicam with the flap which broke in a year..so not a big fan of that design..plus it feels bigger in hand..so decided to keep my ZL even though the deal itself was definitely good ..

For me, the Z was too big.
Also, because of the shape and backplate, it's not comfortable to hold in 1 hand.
The ZL is much better, 7.5(!!)mm shorter and 2mm narrower.
Also has infrared and camera-button.
Z has more devs and waterproof.
Just decide which are important for you
