Give the dev time man. Getting an announcement so soon itself is a big thing.

The thread was announced today only. Be patient. We all are waiting to use lollipop. Like i said, give the developer some time.
Lollipop
is this file fully work or Zr
if i instal it....?
@Puneetsaini
You shouldn't install it until you've read up on how to flash using fastboot, and how to get yourself out of a bootloop/soft brick. If you already know all that, my apologies. Once you've done that, go ahead and flash it at your own risk; Lollipop changes a whole bunch of stuff, so be prepared for unforeseen problems. Also, the dev has said that it doesn't work on all ZR's. I don't know what this means, or which ones it will work on, so again, AT YOUR OWN RISK.
@xenius9
The things that need to be added to System Image, should we just take those from the .283 stock? Z or ZR? Or is there no need to do anything? I don't think I'll have time to test this any time soon, but I'd like to know what to do when I get around to it. It's too bad you can't work on it, but if you could tell us the basic steps so we can figure out the rest, that'd be awesome.

That's probably because of the broken sensors.conf; try replacing it with the one from stock and reflashing.
Can't wait to try this myself! [emoji16]

Oops, forgot it was an IMG. Leave it alone then, unpacking/repacking those things seem to be complicated, will do more research later.
EDIT: Compared the sensors.conf in the fix zip to the stock - turns out they're exactly the same.
As long as you've flashed the Lollipop_fix_full.zip it SHOULD work. If not... I don't have a clue.

you need to look up that file in your stock rom, or if your're on a custom rom, jus extract the zip and look for it.. If on stock rom, look for the file using root explorer. Jus replace the stuff..

I tried too. Root access ain't working. But it looks good. Data working. calls going through. Wifi working. Camera, gallery working... Need to put in gapps tomorrow. Will have to revert back to my tesla for now... The dev seriously deserves credit for this. Amazing work. To get it fired up so smoothly so far. Thanks a ton

Updating your flashtool to the latest version should fix the problem :highfive:
I've faced that problem before
Yep that did the trick. Thank both of you. I cant post on the original thread I linked, but I was going to reply to him to update his info on making sure every1 uses the latest flashtool so others don't have the same issue, but I can't post a reply there, (guessing because Im new to posting, even though I been on this forum awhile.)
Many Thanks.
dear friend i have the same problem. however i have found the solution on my own risk! i would like to share the solution that worked for me and i am sure that will work for you as well. just go to C:\Users\Milan\.flashTool\firmwares there you will find some files or folders. just delete them. after deleting those files, just switch off your phone(without connecting USB cable to it) then hold volume down button and same time connect usb cable. flashtool shows that you have connected your phone in flashmode. thats it! leave your phone aside and select the file you wish to flash. relax! everything will be done automatically.
furthemore, it may take some time to see your phone in home screen so just wait for 5minutes. then you will see that you have successfully flashed your firmware. for more, write to me @ [email protected]

как мне решить эту проблему?
Sony xperia me dual d2302 I was installed Expedia z3style custom ROM now I want to reflash my official firmware when I want to flash .Flash tool says
ERROR : Cannot open bundle flashing process canceled
Had the same error during my attempts to flash Xperia SO-02K firmware which I needed to flash for DRM keys backup. Tried Flashtool v0.9.18.6 and v0.9.15 for windows, both were able to read it, but threw "root : this bundle is not valid" and "Cannot open bundle. Flash operation canceled" errors during flashing (v0.9.34 and v0.9.28 didn't even recognize the firmware). Tried four different versions of the firmware and ultimately used newflasher v20 instead (latest version failed).
I am trying to root my phone using kingroot app ( latest version ), Its rooted phone & everything looks fine until I restart my phone.
After restarting its Stuck In Bootloop (SONY logo->XPERIA logo->Colourful graphics in loop)
There is any way I fix this without any data lost ?
Any help will be eternally appreciated.
Thanks

You don't need to access USB debugging. Just turn off the phone by pressing the button on the back.
Then follow what I said in post#2

Hiya Nandan.
I was in the same boat as you but I had no rom installed no software at all so I could not boot the phone up to enable USB debugging and unknown sources. If you do what I did it will hopefully rectify your problem.
Step 1. Download a kernel with twrp embedded im sure I used dooms kernel as far as I remember. There are many others just do a simple google of xperia sp kernel with recovery.
Step 2 . take phone case off the back hold button in on lower bottom for 10 seconds you will get 3 vibratations . good leave it at that.
Step 4 . open flashtool let it load completely. Now plug USB into your phone also have it into your PC ! Whilst plugging in hold down volume button to enter flashmode your phone should be green . hold up for fast boot mode which is blue either too let's you flash a kernel but fast boot mode requires "elf" kernel.
Step 5. Locate kernel install and then boot phone up whilst press the volume up button as its booting recovery mode will be accessed now flash rom of your choice or use Sony PC suite to go back to stock. Make sure you have stock kernel and bootloader locked or elsee it won't let you..
I hope this helps you out in someway as it did me good luck.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the instruction you have given me, I might try this method a week or two due to coursework. I been trying to get hold with some instructions but turns out the instructions you have given me is more detailed and i could understand what you wrote. I was wondering where i can get the stock kernel since earlier i tried using flashtool to flash the original rom which is vodafone locked showed some errors in the process. instead of using the first step to flash twrp, can i flash clockworkmod recovery and then install custom sony rom like for e.g. archxperia?
Thanks Nandan

If I was you I would just stick with doom kernel for now at least that way you can access twrp and sort your phone out. some very good roms available to install as soon as you access twrp. my steps are 1 to 4 I think I got distracted whilst putting the steps or I can't count lol.

Hi Chris,
So you want me to install Doomkernel first which has the kernel and recovery built in? By flashing it through flashtool either using fastboot mode or flashmode to flash the kernel. Then do I flash any rom I like or would you recommend me a rom to use? Would this also fix to try and access recovery? I did my research that it contains multiple recoveries such CWM, Philz Touch and TWRP. So lets say if I flash a custom sony rom such as archxperia or put it back to stock, will it also fix the unresponsive touch issue i have been getting on my phone or is this a common issue for the xperia sp? My bootloader is unlocked.
Thanks Nandan

Hey Chris,
I flashed it through flashtool the kernel which turns out it is going on a bootloop and cannot access recovery at all. It gets stuck at doomkernel logo and reboots continously. Can you help me out due to the bootloop issue and cannot access recovery. I tried holding volume up button to access recovery it wouldn't let me, now im stuck with a bootloop and it looks like its softbricked.
Thanks Nandan
Update to Everyone I fixed my phone following Chris's method or you can use Zenith's method alternatively instead, but i flashed doomkernel which fixed my phone, I first flashed one of the custom 4.3 roms then i decided to flash TWRP recovery then I flashed SlimRom 5.1.1 Sabermod with Quickboot which im using as a daily driver. If anyone was in my situation earlier on then use the methods provided by Chris or Zenith. By the way don't flash stryflex v3.6 because you might not able to access recovery or you might end up with a soft bricked phone so instead use stryflex v3.7 instead which is stable and also allowed me to access recovery.
I installed a rom kitkat on my xperia sp, he's with bootloader locked, (LBL), I would like to know the step-by-step procedure to re-stock ROM, or if there is any way to unlock the bootloader on this version to install the UBL lollipop if possible also the pass-by-step?
They write in a simple way because I speak Portuguese-BR, and I do not quite understand.
I used the google translator excuses!

Hi! When can I find changelog?
I guess that this doesn't support exfat partition, but, does it support writting to external SDCard.
L'ily said:
It seems to, I have Newsstand and Play Music writing to my card, so do TWRP and TiB, no issues there. I've seen you asking in over 9000 threads about exFAT, I'm legitimately curious as to why. Are there major benefits to exFAT formatting?

Other AOSP rom like pure AOSP cant write to External SDcard. I use titanium backup on EXSDcard and when I select the folder where are the backup files, there is a line that says that that folder is read only.
The reason for using exFAT is that you can have files in size more that 2Gb, like a movie or other big files.

Do you mean 7.1.2 stock rom?
If so, is your bootloader unlocked? You definitely need that
You also have to tick that OEM option in the developer settings to be able to unlock or do modifications.
On this phone, I have OmniRom v7.1.2-20171120. The bootloader is unlocked.
But the flash don't work.
It's strange because it's worked with the Xperia X of my father (same version of OmniRom).
I have successfully flash the partition OEM.

Kernel Update
A notice for the upcoming weekly:
The kernel has been updated to a new version. This requires an updated odm image, which Sony has supplied here
Please note that the zip is not flashable, simply unpack it then flash the img file inside using "fastboot flash oem <img_file>"
If you update to the weekly of 20180128, when it's released, then you MUST flash the new odm image, otherwise you'll end up with issues like a nonfunctional camera.

yes that should work, no changes to userdata are needed by the kernel and odm update far as I know.
L'ily said:
Outstanding. Where are merging the latest Substratum commits and bluetooth battery level APIs in terms of priorities? Substratum as root is less than ideal and it would be nice if my phone reported an accurate battery level for my headphones and not "100%" all the time. I'm guessing these are low though.

I don't think that omnirom merges WIP commits from the substratum team.

Not sure about that, but about bt battery, that one already works fine. I see a battery bar next to the bt symbol, and the qs tile reports the battery percentage just fine.

Damn it. Reporting the Sony MDR-1000X BT headphones as incompatible then. Unless they've somehow gained the ability to charge themselves via magic and/or science. Which would be pretty sweet, but somehow I don't think they have.

I'm pretty new to how bt devices work, but I think the issue here is that these headphones use Apple's method of reporting battery life. Could be (very) wrong there though.
