[Q] Compile OmniROM 4.4 - Galaxy S Advance I9070 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I am trying to compile the OmniROM for janice, Everything looks good, but at the end of compilation an error occurs.
See the image : i.imgur.com/XvWoKDS.png
Apparently the error is time to compile the files from TWRP. Problably some configuration is missing in the device tree.
I searched for this error and can not find much useful stuff on it.
Someone with experience can help me in this matter? @diego-ch @AntaresOne @golden-guy

Get behind the truth of a bootloop

Hey all,
I've been working on an unofficial port of Xylon, a lightweight CM10.1 ROM. This ROM has been build from source. However, after several misbuilds and one succesfull build, the ROM is bootlooping. How can I discover what the source of this bootloop is? In other words, how do I fix it?
I have a little experience porting a ROM for another device (see my signature), that was easy, because logcat worked during the bootprocess. I couldn't get this working on my N7000...
I would be very happy if someone could help me. Thank you!
Zip file mediafire
look at logcat and identify the event that happens just before it bootloops
Can logcat be taken using adb ? If it can, take a look at the events leading up to the bootloop .
P.S. I would suggest changing the title to 'Xylon port bootloop problem' and PM'ing @chasmodo or @beerbong or @neobuddy89

[Q] [QUESTION] Building dt.img

Hi.
I've had nothing but trouble trying to figure this one out. Information is quite lacking, and no amount of thread searching or google searching is helping me.
I've previously had my DU rom build working fine, until I had to reinstall Linux that is. Since that point, I can build the complete rom, but kernel gen always hangs on building the dt.img.
Mostly, and only, because the build doesn't seem to actually build the DTB files? Are these supposed to be generated by the build environment?
For now I've just pulled the DTBs from the Sony git, and copied them to the "out" dir in the relevant place. But it would be nice to figure what I've done wrong.
Cheers!
including this commit in my sources caused the same error while building SlimKat:
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/74677/
if you have it in your rhine-common tree, try to revert it then build.
Regards,
Omar.

and gapps
http://www.drdevs.com/devs/teamliquid/Gapps/Liquid_gapps.4.4.4.build.8.1.zip
I am running LiquidSmooth that I built. Just download the source tree, then add the files from CyanogenMod.
I can't give you my build, because I modified the partition from standard. Before I barely had any space to install apps, so it kept running out. But I deleted the extra partitions and made it 1 big partition, so now the apps share the full amount of the internal storage, which in mine is 13 GB. To do that I had to wipe everything, repartition, and make changes to Android.

Follow the CyanogenMod instructions to build that... then copy over the Samsung related files into the LiquidSmooth directory.
Yes would love an ls lp rom. One big partition is also something I'm longing for. Tired of moving apps to SD card etc.

[Q] [WIP] Cyanogenmod 11 [help]pls

Here's the official Huawei source for the kernel: http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=detail&mid=71
I'd love to help, but I only have a ****ty laptop, so building CM would take a week or so...
Best bet is to try and base it on CM11 for P6: https://github.com/surdupetru/cm11-p6

I took a look to Surdu's files but I decided to make the files based on my own device (P7L10). I've been trying for almost 1 week to build the source but without success on Mac's environment (also downloading the source some couples of time). Now I'm using a virtual machine based on the latest version of Ubuntu and it seems like it's compiling. Now I have to investigate how I'd use the original kernel (downloaded from Huawei's website) to put it on the build.
My repo's: https://github.com/nirodg/HuaweiAscendP7L10

is this because of the poor quality of the released kernel sources ?

You'll waste a time to fix all compilation errors and as result you'll get the same stock zImage as prebiult one. So what's the point?
maybe some advanced features can be implemented with the kernel sources, but if the stock kernel is ok for proper CM, that's the easiest path
... and your Ascend P6S / P7 K-Tuned Kernel is exactly what I was referring to
Finally after some hard days trying to compile it finally I did it buut I don't know why the .zip file it's not created. Is strange because I didn't have any error the last time I tried to compile it.

edit: I have the zip file, but when I try to flash the phone TWRP says me that for some reason can not be flashed, without any kind of error code. I leave the recovery.log under

Error when trying to build APK from GitHub

Hello I´m trying to build an APP called zoomgesturetile from the authors GitHub. But when I want to build the APK, I get this Error:
Something wrong with the Maven Repository I guess. I never used Android Studio, so it would be nice if someone could help me out here, or may look into the code if he or she can compile it.
Thank you for your help
