Anyone else keeping getting a pop up notification saying " Unfortunately Cloud Print has stopped"? I've never even used cloud print before and didn't touch anything with it on my new N6. However, this notification keeps popping up every couple of minutes so finally I disabled cloud print and haven't seen the notification since. It would be nice to resolve this in a better way than disabling it.
[EDIT]: I just got the notification again, even with cloud print disabled. Not cool. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Same. I'm sure it'll be fixed soon.
I was getting it. Disabled the app and rebooted. Do I even need this?

For anyone still experiencing this issue, it seems that going into Apps and hitting "Clear Data" on Cloud Print resolves the issue.

I used Cloud Print on my N5 flawlessy. Thanks for this tip. Hopefully this will stay working
Settings->printing->cloud printing= off
Have not had one issue since disabling and numerous prior.
They updated that today, so check the play store. I haven't had any issues with the new version yet.
Cleared app data and i have not gotten the error message again. Thanks..

How do you navigate to that? I don't see that app on my phone. Went to Google play and it didn't have the install or update button either.

It won't be in your apps from Google Play. Here's how to find it.
Settings -> Apps -> All -> Cloud Print -> Clear Data

Every now and then I'll get a notification that I have an update ready. I click the notification to open My Apps and...nothing needs an update.
I have noticed that my phone will randomly delete a paid game of mine, Totemo Full, and I've given up on reinstalling that. Would that be causing the issue? Did Totemo get a recent (like < 1 week ago) update?
What exactly, quoted, does the notification say? A lot of apps are set to update automatically, these apps might be telling you they were updated, not that an update was just available.
Quick tip: you can always go the market page for each app to see when it was last updated. Totemo is here, and it appears it hasn't updated since July 29.
Mine will sometimes say that there are more updates than there really are, but I've never had it tell me there's an update when there isn't yet. Have you used Titanium to freeze any apps, by chance?

Your apps disappear cause some of the by default get installed to your media. You can fix this by going to settings /applications /manage apps/media area and the O. Es that have a check mark by them, click on it and select move to phone and they won't disappear anymore. As far as the updates go, and as the other post says apps are set to update automatically and thats why you can't see them. It's just letting you know an update has been done. Hope this helps
I had a customer with this problem yesterday. Try going to market>menu>my apps> then look at each non installed app and look for ones that say "update" (for him it was myverizon and vz tones)

There are a few different threads on this......what is happening is your default account is switching over to a secondary account. If you go into accounts under the market menu and switch your account, you will see there is in fact an update for an app purchased on the other account. I am desperately searching for a fix to this. I now have apps split between the two accounts and if it weren't for my company using G-apps for e-mail now, I would delete second account.

This is not happening for me. I have only one google account on the phone. I have turned off automatic update for each app where it was turned on. I get a notification every day that there is an app with an update; open the notification and find that there are no apps available to update.
This version of the market has issues, for sure.
Just go to settings/apps & clear market data. You might also have to do that if you have updated an app outside the market.

I've tried that; it doesn't fix the problem (and I have no non-market apps installed.) It's more of an annoyance than anything, but I just wanted to point out that this is not always explained by an app with automatic updates enabled (which should give a notification of their own, by the way), or having a second Google account on the phone. The market app is problematic, period.

I get this too sometimes and find it to be Verizon apps like "Verizon Video". When you go to "My Apps" in the market scroll to the very bottom of the list and you might see it there. That's where I found my missing updates.
Yep most often Verizon apps. Annoying

Is there any way to manually uninstall and reinstall Google Contacts on my Nexus 7? Ever since I updated, I just get the message "App stopped working" when I try to run it. I've tried stopping it, flushing the cache, signing out of my account, nothing helps.
I would appreciate any help. The tablet is rooted, so I know that opens up possible solutions.

I got it to go away by clearing the data of Contacts/Contacts Sync and then clearing data for Google Services Framework. Just go into Settings > Apps > All and they'll be in that list. It happens when you flash one rom over another one or something and they have some files that get mixed up. It seems like it's an issue that happens to a lot of people, but almost every thread has a somewhat different solution.
Hopefully my method works, if it doesn't, then reboot and go to Settings > Accounts (Google) > your email. In the upper right sign out of your account and then sign back in by going to any Google app. After a hand full of personal occurrences and many google searches, I believe this will work.
...Ok, apparently this method works somewhat. I still get the message once after every boot up, but it doesn't show up after that. The only really reliable way to get rid of it is to backup your apps (not the google ones, since they are broked) and factory reset, since that does always remove it.

Thanks for replying.
After clearing the caches and restarting, my message went from "app not working" to "app not installed."

Are any of you having issues with the Google Now search of installed applications? I have the checkbox checked in the Google Now settings (Settings -> Phone search -> Apps- Names of installed applications), but sometimes this just stops working until I go into the settings again to uncheck and check it.
This also happens with my Contacts

Yes! This just started for me a couple days ago. The only thing that setting you mentioned above does for me now is search THROUGH installed apps for hits, but no longer brings up the app itself. Unfortunately your fix of checking and unchecking doesn't seem to do the trick for me (I'm on a Note 2).
For anyone who's not familiar with this behavior, it's a really nice feature of the main Google Now bar everyone should have on their home screen:
Punching in part of an app name in the Google Now bar pulls up hits including the app itself.
It's very convenient to for example turn on your phone, type in "Scan", and get as the top hit the Genius Scan app for example (you might only remember the "Scan" part of the name of the app).
Or type in "Face" and the Facebook app shows up. (Partials work.)
It's very similar to the iOS left-swipe search, the Windows 7 Start button, and OSX Spotlight.
Hunting and pecking through the app list is for chumps.
After today's Google+ update patch, this issue is now resolved.

Hey guys, so I just got the S5 a couple of days ago and I love it. However, I'm having some problems with the push notifications of certain apps not coming through, yet they do easily on my Nexus 7. They weren't a problem on my Nexus 5, but I have no idea why it's not working properly on a brand new phone like the S5. Each of the apps, like Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat to name a few, are all listed to push notifications and they're set in the main Android settings, so I have no idea. Anyone else have the same kind of issues like me?
To note, I've already factory resetted my phone several times, cleaned out the data, caches, etc and still no use. I am rooted though, but I doubt that should make a huge difference, right? And right now, I'm not using Xposed framework, but before when I first noticed the issues, I was. Thanks in advance!
Taking a longshot here...but have you updated that Samsung Push Service app through the Play Store (and all other apps for that matter)?

if you used Titatium backup to restore any apps that use push, that could be your issue. I restored facebook, instagram , snapchat etc and the push never works when i restore, you need to clear the app out, and just login new for each push app.

Yeah, I did that initially, but that was the first time I got the phone. Now, I've been clearing out the caches and data for each app, uninstalling it and reinstalling it from the Play Store, but still some of the apps don't have the push capability unless I was just in the app or still in it. Some of my problem apps are GroupMe, Snapchat and Instagram. When I had my Nexus 5, that wasn't the issue at all.
Is there anything else I can do to fix this issue?

Check out TB Restore Fixer on the app store. I noticed that when I did Titanium Backup restore, some of my apps were not working correctly and I couldn't reach certain parts of my storage, etc. After I ran it, it seemed to have straightened everything out. (Requires root, of course)
Hope this fixes your problems!
Same problem
I first started having this issue a week ago. I checked all the setting, factory reset, and I ended up switching out the Galaxy 5 through Sprint yesterday. E-mails and FB messenger app was working on data while I was driving home and I thought the problem was fixed. I reinstalled all the apps I was using and over night let the phone charge. When I woke up this morning I noticed two of the folders I made were removed and a widget for S Health replaced the folders spot. Thinking nothing of it I removed the widget and made it to work this morning to find out I had 3 e-mails waiting, a notification on facebook, and another message through FB messenger that did not come through this morning. I am receieving notifications if im on wifi but not through the data now and this is a new phone. I think this may have something to the 4.4.4 release but this is bugging me. Any new suggestions?
I have seen issues with sprint where phone calls are fine but data wont work in certain areas of the city unless you turn data roaming on it apears that the signals are ok for voice but not for data in thoes areas
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Data roaming is checked on, I did go in today and saw a roaming guard on data and turned it off but nothing yet. It's been two months and my push notifications are still not working. Figure I'd come here and bump again.
Im having same issue looks like no one has a solution for this... I get all my notifications while im on wifi but soon as im on data i stop getting some notifications. Very frustrating.
has anyone been experiencing their traffic cards for commute all of a sudden stop appearing? Ive tried going to a nandroid, clearing caches, clearing app data, etc. For whatever reason they will not show anymore. I havent changed anything.
thanks
I've noticed that sometimes none of my cards will appear (weather, news, traffic, etc.) and the only solution I have found is to reboot the device which brings them all back. (N6F26R 7.1.1 Feb. update)
Have you checked the "Customize the Feed" settings page? You should be able to set your work/home locations and select yes/no to getting updates for your commute to work. I noticed that my work location was set to the wrong location yesterday (I didn't change it) so it might be worth checking out those settings even if you haven't changed anything.

It was working as it should for the last month. Had all my locations set, everything enabled, etc. and they just stopped showing up. It use to be if i was anywhere away from my home the page on the right would tell me how far i was from home. that never shows anymore. My work commute would also show on that same page in the morning and that never shows up anymore. i have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. cleared the data, caches, etc. nothing works. maybe google is having problems on their end

Don't think it has to do with Assistant.
I like the weather card with 5 days overview.
It changes to a smaller 1 day card.
Clearing all data and a new setup of Google App brings back the 5 days weather card for a day !
