I know that some ROM's like CM, AOSPA, and Carbon give you the ability to set 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, etc lockscreen patterns.
Does anybody know how to mod the stock lockscreen, or of any apk or way of doing this?
Thanks!

Gravitybox apk can do some modifications but you need to be rooted and installed xposed framework.

Thanks but gravitybox doesn't have anything for this.
It is really great though!

Try WidgetLocker Lockscreen. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker
Or here's a free one. Never tried it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=home.solo.plugin.locker
They may or may not mess up active notifications.

Those are targets for the slider. I'm talking about the unlock grid pattern. By default it is 3x3 dots. I would like to be able to make it 4x4 or 5x5.

No problem. I appreciate you trying to help!
I like the 4x4 grid because you can make the unlock pattern straight across. So its very easy to unlock (just like slide) but appears to be some difficult pattern.

I'm hoping for the same modification.
me 2!!!
xposed has a module for this, but it crashes on my phone (grand duos i9082L with stock 4.2.2)
Playing with my new phone... I thought that kit Kat launcher accessed Google now by swiping either to left or right. Is this disabled in Moto X?
Sent from my XT1053 using Tapatalk
Only with the google experience launcher. Which is only on the nexus 5. You can side load it to the moto x. There are threads on here.
Oh OK... I thought I was losing it for a sec.

Actually there's a handful of launchers that do that now, they emulate gel launcher, some you can even remove the stupid Google search bar. I'm using KitKat launcher pro

Yes, very true. I'm using nova launcher beta with kitkat icons. More customization possibilities.

For those that are rooted.....can you try to get the old RAZR M circles widget working? I hate the command center but love the circles...
Just wondering if someone had the time to test it. If not, no biggie.

If is your phone rooted you can test it.
http://d-h.st/qSw
Install it with custom recovery (twrp etc), or unpack it and copy motlauncher2.apk, weather.apk, circlewidget3d.apk to phone to system/priv-app and set on all permissions to -rw-r-r--
reboot
as i know circlewidget3d cannot run on ART...no not on Lollipop so you must be on kitkat.
I'm not rooted...thats why I was asking. Thanks for the link though...

Bootloader unlock might make this happen.....anyone?

Just tried it. It doesn't work. The widget is available , but when you drag it to a home screen, it force closes and loads forever.
Download the app "one more clock widget" on the play store, go to home screen, add widget and choose OMC from the list. It will extract a bunch of skins, choose chrome rings, add city and display options.
IIRC the circle widget from RAZR M needs the moto launcher. Chrome rings on OMC looks damn near the same, its free and works on any phone
The play store isn't close, can't flip the rings for an analog clock or time or notify of text messages.....

Try no icon and use gesture (depending on the launcher). The rest of your screen is six icons across except the dock. For example I use down swipe gesture to expand notifications, up swipe to open app drawer (with animation set to open app drawer from bottom of the screen), double tap to sleep, two finger swipe for quick settings.

This is the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.danyfradika.textileos.layerstheme
You can take just the app drawer from Textile OS (Named finger) and use sky blue night, in the options of Layers Manager.
I like the ones in the Min icon pack.

I downloaded that app, and even got SkyBlue. but it doesn't seem to be sticking once it asks me for a soft reset.
I just noticed that it themed my setting, but not my icons, background, etc.
NOTE: I seen somewhere I might need BusyBox?

Don't use the soft reboot. I always do a full reboot and it works and you shouldn't need busybox. I don't have it installed.

Thanks! Do you know how too set it up so I don't power down the device and have a reset button. I have the rooted stock looking ROM.

I use the advanced reboot in gravitybox but that requires Xposed. I don't know how you feel about that cause I know some people just hate it. You can also get an app like terminal emulator and type su to grant superuser then type reboot. There might also be an app in the play store that could do it but I don't use those. Someone else would have to suggest one of those.
Is using Xposed a bad thing? If not I will throw it on this phone...

It depends on who you ask. I say research it and try it if you want. Just make a backup right before you install it and you can restore that if you don't like it. But personally, I don't think it's as bad as some people say.
