Dear friends,
I've been reading the forums for a while now. My name is Pablo and I'm from Chile, South America.
I bought a S5570 on July, and started modifying it since then. Right now I'm running on Gingerbread 2.3.4 KPK and ALMOST everything works.
As you may know, 2.3 isn't released officially on Latin America and I can't find any rom that works 100% in our networks.
The only problem right now is I don't have 3G, everything else is working fine.
The question right now is what can I do?
[Q] Is there a way to port the radio part from a Froyo rom?
[Q] Is there anyone from Latin America with a good and fast Froyo rom working on their Galaxy?
First I thought I wouldn't need 3G because there are WIFI networks everywhere, but after a while I realized that I really need 3G and can't have the phone without it.
I appreciate your help.
Regards,
Pablo.
Dude you're kinda late to the party!!
I' m in Colombia and I have my mini running KPK without any issues since August, anyways here is a link to a Brazilian page that will tell you how to update to the official latin american GB (it's from Costa Rica, but it works the same on the rest of Latin America).
Thanks for that answer, will try it and tell you how it worked out.
BTW, are u using some special firmware? If so, which one has worked best for you?
Regards!
I've used Andro-ID, tj_style's CM7 and Squadzone's CM7 overclocked, all of them have worked great and I really like the OC capabilities of Squadzone's.
Haven't tried the others but it never hurts to check.
Hi there,
the XDA community is great and I thank you anyway,
I'm searching for a good radio update for my 2x, I have MIUI and I flashed an unstable radio.
Can you show a stable one ?

It should not be a problem. I installed 4.4.2 NG1 from Brazil and I'm from South Africa.
I used Odin3 (I think). It wiped all my data so, as always, backup everything you need to or want to.
Everything has been running smoothly for me for a week now...yay!
Just to add, I did come from a custom 4.4.4 CM rom.
Hi Guys, Hoping someone can help, im trying to confirm the latest radio version available, i have a international i9305, the rom im running is in my sig, just want to swap around and see which gives me best signal, as im not 100% happy, my baseband version is I9305XXUFOA1. Thanks in advance.

I bought Galaxy A71 for my father also for the integrated Radio FM but i discover that italian version NOT have radio fm. But in Android Settings there are "ANT RADIO SERVICE" pre-installed.
I have already downloaded many apk of radio fm ( FMplayer, Radio FM, TuneIn, NextRadio, SimpleRadio, ecc ecc... ) but none of these work or work with streaming.
I've downloded Spirit2 ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77881150&postcount=5079 ) but ask me the root, insn't there another way whitout root? There in no way for installing radiofm stock of Samsung or Google to work?
The phone is new and not mine and i wouldnt'like unlock bootloader immediately.
Thanks

That's a bluetooth-like protocol for connecting to fitness devices, etc. It has nothing to do with tuning FM radio.
Hi, Im in the same situation where samsung radio app doesn't exist at all even after updating from android 10 to 11. tried to install apk file manualy, cannot install. I'm on italian stock firmware too.
beside root, I guess I will flash a different stock firmware (of annother country).
please if you found a solution by now, kindly share with me
Hi Dear, it may be too late as it been while that you have posted that. anyways sharing solution so anyone in the same can know ... actually it depends on the firmware region (not talking about android version) ... i was on stock italian ITV firmware either android 10 or 11 no FM radio and no way to insall any app nothing works ... I tried randomly other firmware Morocco MWD and by default Samsung Original FM Radio was there, exactly same options same everything, just that FM is working fine too
