[Q] Do you see noticeable Horizontal Lines across your Z3compact screen? - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When looking closely on screen , i can see those noticeable Horizontal lines across the whole screen ,which is really awful .
Especially on mono colors , or some white/grey icons in the notification bar .
Those lines r really annoying , i'm not sure if it's just a defect on my phone , there's a pic taken by Nexus4 to show those awful lines, even such a bad camera on Nexus4 can show out those horizonal lines

Sort of white-screen...

I think it's the screen itself that's gone - it's a big white tint on the screen. It came this morning, and a soft reset got rid of it initially, but it came back later and now won't go away. I've only added the Touch action screen (For the Kaiser) in the last couple of days, and I haven't dropped it recently.

If the pic was in focus it would be easier to see, but it really looks like your screen is cracked. Crushed in the pocket?
Possibly - no real idea! Looks like I need to speak to T-Mob to see if I can get a replacement..

[Q] touch layer of the screen

Hi guys,
can you explain why is the "conductive layer" clearly visible on the Z1 screen ( as relly dense lines at different angles) under some types of light (I've noticed it while sitting in the restaurant under littlehalogen lights)? I've switched from SGS II and there I can't see any lines or dots ( dots were visible in ZTE Blade that I owned before ).
Here's a graphical aid for your senses, it's form iPhone, but I thinks it's more or less the same.

The Z1 comes with a factory "screen protector" and that's probably what you're seeing and not the conductive layer

[Q] Problem With the screen

The touch works well but there are gradient horizontal lines on the screen in the colors brown, blue and black.
Sometimes i see a little bit something (still with the lines), but then it turns again in to just gradient horizontal lines.
(The screen is not broken.)
Thanks.

Here someone had a similar problem. It seem's to be a hardware failure, if your sceen looks like this:

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So you should probably backup your stuff, flash a stock firmware (if you are on a custom rom) and send it to samsung.
sounds like screen burn in to me, AMOLED displays can suffer with screen burn in which will leave lines or keyboard texts etc left burnt into the screen.

galaxy s6 g920a white transparent horizontal line appearing below the clock

Hello all. I recently bought a s6 g920a .for the first day it worked fine.but after some days i noticed a light white horizontal line appearing below the notification bar.its not so prominent but if u look deep it can be found. When i enter the samsung test *#0*# and test the colours its only visible in Blue colour background. I am terrified.
I have the same exact line you're describing. Mine already existed seeing as to I'm the second owner so I don't know if I can add to the troubleshooting process. Mine is a metro variant

What is this dark rectangle on back of Q6?

I picked up a Q6 finding the back plastic cover has this rectangular cutout. You can't see it in the photo, as I need to catch the light at the correct angle to see it, but the phone has a darker rectanglular area to match. It seems to be more under/in the plastic than on top of it. I haven't opened it up yet to see.
My initial guess is that it was an area marked out to mount something but, I don't know, that just seems like going to too much trouble?
Does anyone know what this is?

That's where the IMEI/barcode label is located on the back of the phone.
