Is there a way to disable the headset audio output ? (using a program or something)
Currently I use the Diamond in my car with the active Brodit holder, sometimes I just want to listen to my CD player and have TomTom using the built-in speaker, but as the Diamond detects a "headset" connection, it switches automatically.
any ideas ?
guess not huh ?
Why don't you just get yourself a normal car charger? Works for me.
Hi bakman,
the same to me, did you found any solution? I bought the active brodit holder, because I want to put it in and sometime I want to use it at charger and also I want to use the headset output to an fm-Transmitter. Mayby I have to use the Transmitter allways.

There are so many questions to this theme! No answer? I'm horrified!
Guys, the whole point of an active charger is that it connects the phone to everything. hence you plug it in and the phone connects to the 'headset', charger et al.
There's a reg edit in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418713) where someone else has asked the exact same question without searching and they didn't like the answer.
You can't have it both ways........
Hi All,
Just wondering if there is anyone out there willing to help me. I have my Diamond plugged into a FM transmitter/Holder for my car. But when i make a call i can hear the person through my stereo but they cant hear me. I was hoping somehere here with all the knowledge here could make a app that everytime i put the phone in the holder i just run the app that enables the internal mic to work. I understand that the registry will change everytime th diamond is plugged into the holder but i was thinking just to have the app in my favourites. If you can help please let me know.. I will donate for anyones time.
Regards
Ray

Hi! few quick questions:
1. Xperia Z have OMTP or AJH 3.5mm jack connection?
2. If it support OTG, external microphone would work with XZ? if yes how to enable it in app(if you dont use apps like USB Audio Recorder Pro)
3. its possible to get stereo sound on video, using external mic(plugged to 3.5 jack)? Or its always automatically change it to mono when you plug headset/mic to mini-jack port?
4. Anyone know good video app with more options than stock one?
5. Anyone used external mic for recording?
Because my friend use iPhone 4s with simple chinese stereo mic(really small one) and he just plug it and get amazing stereo sound, but when I plugged it to my xperia Z I got crappy mono sound...
PS. Bluetooth is not an option because as I know/tested every device limit mic quality to 8-10khz/mono

I dont have mood for jokes, an beside I'm not idiot to buy new phone just because one small thing doesnt work on it(and beside that sound quality of z2 or even z3 compact is not better than on my z, and buying it just because its compatible with sony external mic, its stupid).
