Dial 1 To Answer? - Sprint HTC One (M8)

When I call my spouse, it asks her if she wants to dial 1 before she can answer.
What would make this happen?

Is she using Google Voice? If so there is an option to remove that feature.

Yes, she's on Liquid Smooth, and needs Voice.
Thank you for that response. I'll check it when I get a hold of it again!

I bet there's an app for that, try googling it.
sent from my hero, which no longer sucks ass
I use youmail and send block numbers straight to voice mail. And it also has an option to let the block caller leave a voice mail or just hang up on them.

Thanks I'll give it a try.

Bluetooth voice "dialing failed" after 4.3

Hello,
I'm having the same problem reported here with Bluetooth voice dialing over Intellilink in my 2013 Buick. When I use the voice command system to "call Bob", I get the usual response, "calling Bob on cell", followed quickly by "dialing failed". When I access the phone book directly, scroll through it to find Bob's number and select it, it dials Bob's number. The system worked fine until 4.3
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Ed
This is not going to help you, but I am having the same issue.

Well, I found a "fix", but this site won't let me post the link; it's to an "outside" site. Evidently, dashes and parentheses are now interfering with the voice dialing capability on GM cars. I have no idea why this fix works, maybe someone with the technical chops can explain it to us. But I can say that, after I exported my contacts, edited out all the "offending" characters, then re-imported the edited contacts into gmail, all was well and voice dialing worked again.
If you want the link, PM me and I'll send it to you.
I hope it works for you, and I hope someone can explain what's going on here. There was nothing "offensive" about parentheses or dashes two weeks ago. Something happened...
Link for fixing "Dialing Failed"
Please send me the link you mention in your post. I'm having the same issue. Thank you.

It does work! Patience is all you need! You need to input your email address, and wait for a confirmation to say that you can now use BBM.
This is a serious mission for BBM, they need to keep the load on their servers balanced at one time. If 6,000,000+ people all try logging in at once there will be consequences and it may even bring down the servers. (Quite like a DDoS attack)
So just be patient! :good:

Just like what happened with the leaked app, at least they have learnt this time hahahah! I got my code last night, just leave it for an hour or so, and click I got this email (even if you haven't) and it might send you to the login page, trust me it works, but they are having massive demand, on their crappy bb servers, that's why it's taking so long, I mean, it's blackberry, come on! xD
What does this app do? I can use it only with people who also have BBM?
works for me to as said before u need to type in your email and wait for verification, if someone wanna add me 7C1ECD1C

Google Now Hotword: "Bite Me Google"

Hehe.
Being my childish self, I found several Hotword phrases that will reliably launch Google Now, including "Bite Me Google".
I can confirm that "Go f*ck yourself, Google." Also works.

Nobody is changing the hot words, just finding out that other combinations of words seem to trigger the listening response. I found that "Go Google" , "Hey Google", "Hi Google", etc works too.
My favorite "OK Goober" works.
the hotwording is enabled but OK Google readiness is not there anymore. Maybe I used too many swearing?
Ha. "Bite Me Google" no longer works.

You don't even need to say okay, you can just say Google.
So feel free to say pretty much whatever you want before Google!

Lol. Actually, the first time I tried it, it worked. Try using a cross between a British and Jamaican accent and make sure you're around a lot of people that you don't know and try again, think it might work.

Instead of rebooting try going to Settings > Apps > Cached Processes and stopping the Google Search Service. It seems that caching this app causes a freeze and doesn't allow the app to function in the proper way.
Let me know how this goes? I feel like this issue may be more widespread...:crying:
Haha, this is hilarious!
Go Go Gadget Google
It works everytime.

[REQUEST] Pain in the Ass? I'm sorry...Just need a file

Is Verizon Visual Voicemail included with the stock ROM for Nexus 6?
I sure hope so. Here's why...
I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY hoping someone wouldn't mind uploading the VVM app for me
If there's someone who doesn't mind doing this, maybe you'll even be willing to upload it as a ZipMe file?
***It's FREE and its an awesome app to have anyways Above is the actual play store link. :highfive::good:
That would automatically include EXACTLY what I need to get it to work on my phone... that's why I'm asking for that file type.
Whoever helps me with this, I will make it a point to owe you a favor after...so, please don't hesitate to ask me for a file or anything else you might need after! After all, this site is mainly for sharing and helping others, right?
:good::good:

Hang tight, on the 26th the phone comes out in VZ. So visual voicemail might work at that point. Watch for an update in the play store at the same time.
