I just got this update for 5.0 on my nexus 6 even though I'm obviously running it now. It's 190mb and showed up the second time after trying to install it on my rooted, custom recovery ROM. Anyone else got this or knows what it is?

That's the exact size of the LRX21O upgrade. If you're getting it, you're not currently on LRX21O. Go check your build number in about phone.
Ya ur right. Sorry. When did everyone get this ota? Also since I am rooted with twrp would I have to restore stock recovery for it to flash? Thanks

Ditto, upon walking out of the store
Mine came with the update out of the box.
Does anyones phone get much hotter after this initial ota, whenever I'm using it gets really hot...even when I'm just playing music and the phones in my pocket, unrooted and completely stock
Well ****, I don't have this update and would need to install it.
I already flashed and rooted my phone to disable encryption. Does this mean it will re-enable encryption?

AT&T phones came with LRX21O. Except the ones that shipped with a testing version of KK.
I would assume it would re encrypt. Don't know about anything else. Unlock would still be fine. We may just have to re do root and recovery

Just got the update notice. It's only 1.1mb. I'm guessing it basically just fixes the "December" bug in the People app. Anything else?

Received it yesterday. Booted it one time. Turned debugging on, typed "adb reboot-bootloader" and unlocked the bootloader, flashed CWM. Booted into CWM and flashed AOKP.
My Nexus 4 was shipped with pre-production software.
I think I have to change something before I get the update as well, because I got the AOSP browser or something. I really hope there's nothing else in the way, since I've only rooted and unlocked the bootloader other than that.
Just sideloaded it, pretty cool process.
Just as predicted. December is back in the People app. Nothing else is different, as far as I can tell.
Edit: The Kernel still has the November 8th date stamp, that obviously hasn't been played around with.

The usb host function is not working at all. When you use a usb otg cable to connect something like a keyboard, mouse or android accessory it dose not power or recognize the device like it should. Its still unknown if this is a software or hardware problem.
Nothing here in my neck of the USA. Manual check said I was up to date.

With CWM recovery you need to download the ota zip file for your N7 (wifi or 3g) which can be installed in CWM recovery. I know it can because that's what I did. Updating lost root and CWM recovery, but I used Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit to get root and reinstall recovery. I actually installed TWRP recovery and flashed Chainfire's SuperSu 1.43 to complete the root process. Now I'm updated with TWRP recovery and root.
Got mine. Booted into TWRP bit updated. OTA Rootkeeper didn't work. Will need to re-root.

If someone has a Hybrid radio for LTE, will that prevent OTA from installing?
That would kind of suck if an update to MX Player was submitted for 4.4.1 compatibility today.

Hopefully it makes the developer remove the version restrictions as most of the time it will probably be usable anyway.
edit: MX is the reason why i am still on 4.4

Any "noticeable" changes in performance and bug fixes like it says?
I rooted yesterday and installed bionic and dalvic patch. Now what? Install undo.zip in cwm recovery, then update.zip also using cwm?
Cheers!

And I keep trying to tell people that the firmware from Sammobile and Samsung-updates does not work on our S5 if you've updated to ND3. We must use the one from the general section, which is the same firmware, but different file.
S5 active here I downloaded my version of firmware from sammobile.com and it flashed fine. Just thought I would put that out there.

Update will fail if you are rooted.
it will fail if your system files have changed at all. that means if you get an ota while rooted, it will fail 100% of the time.
