Gallery issue - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have recently shifted from Samsung note to HTC One m8. I have a weird issue with whatsapp. Whenever I download an image from whatsapp it doesn't show in gallery but when I browse to my files, it's there. Any solution?
Ps: I took a backup of whatsapp chats from Samsung note and restored in HTC ONE M8.

Do you mean uploading a photo from your gallery directly to picasa? I´ve tested it now with a 1.4MB file and no problem. Was send in 5 seconds over Mobile Data Connection.
Yes I mean what you say. Found similar bugs at the Android build forum but usually with HTC devices.

Picasa (G+) sync broke since G+ update?

Does anyone else notice that since the G+ update yesterday no photos are syncing?
In my gallery/albums/picasa there was an album called instant upload. It changed to autobackup and now it won't update. The thumbnail updates to the newest one but the rest will not. It sucks as I use this with the wife to see photos of my Son ans stuff.
I also noticed that the individual albums are only showing the highlighted photos and not the whole album.
Can anyone confirm or is this a Rom issue? (TrickDroid 5.5.1)

I have a similar issue and I am running stock. For me it will sync some of the albums from picasa/g+ but not all of them, especially the older albums.

It pisses me off because I use this often and the thumbnail will show correctly but the photos dont appear. A fix is clearing data on the picasa app in settings/apps and then opening the gallery back up

Does HTC One compress SMS pictures ?

Hi, I have black htc one from sprint.
I used to have a Galaxy S2 prior to upgrading to HTC One a few months ago.
On the S2, whenever I sent or received a txt message with a photo, the photo would be sent/received in full size, i.e not compressed.
For example, on my galaxy s2, when I recv a txt msg with a photo, I could open it in my SMS app and zoom in to view details of the photo.
But, on my htc one, whenever someone sends me a txt msg with a photo, it comes out really small,( compressed). So, im unable to even view it full screen sometimes, much less zoom in. Sometimes, I am able to , but most times I am not.
Also, whenever I snap a pic and txt it to someone, they tell me that pic is not full size and that it comes off smaller, fuzzy and they cannot zoom in to the pic on their phone.
So, it seems HTC is auto compressing pictures sent/received on the HTC one.
Is there a setting to change this back to normal? I hate the fact that I can see or send pics properly from the best phone on the market.
thanks
I think GoSMS pro has an option in the settings to keep pictures at high quality.. you could try this sms app from the play store

I think this is carrier dependent because it's your carriers network your sending it through.

Dont think the carrier is the issue in my case, since I could send/recv full size images from my older galaxy s2 phone.
problem started when i got the htc one

Photos missing from Camera folder

I did not wipe or flash anything recently.
Yesterday i had all the pics taken from HTC One in the gallery, but today all of them are gone. Everything else, like wallpapers etc are there, but just camera pics are gone.
I checked from file explorer as well. No pics there as well. What could be the reason? Anyway to recover them?
