Hi, is there a solution to deodex the stock rom, because I know it runs in art, so is there a way to turn off art on the nexus 6 so that the odex files decompile correctly?

or no one really cares. i run asop, so do many other experienced users. theres no need to deodex asop.

if your going to use themes and mods on your phone theres plenty of reason to deodex apps! and if your using aosp your using a deodexed rom, "experienced user!"
anyways, my initial request was for the device specific apps that come on nexus 6. theres like 8 device specific apps that are not built on aosp source.

Looks like there is at least one developer deodexing his ROM see this post. Maybe ask him for help?

if i could get also the AOSP lockscreen for 2.2 would be great, i know there is that mod with 6 lockscreen but i don't need all that, im trying to keep it clean and simple.
thanks guys
Im sure at some point sbrissen will update his mods package. Which all of those things are included.

sbrissen updates his mods thread shortly after com rom is out...so the unthemed versions should be out soon...at that point you could rip the dialer and phone from com rom if u want those themes from it..if not his stock themed ones are just what ur looking for
This ROM is based on the OTA that t3rabyte received, it's completely stock with root and busybox. This is meant as a flashable version of the dump he posted, so I don't plan on posting mods or fixes for it as I am also posting a custom ROM later based on this that I will do that for.
Also the kernel has been slightly modded to disable secure mode & enable init.d support.
I HIGHLY recommend you factory reset/wipe data before you flash this, even if your coming from the other TouchWiz ROM
The 2 version are:
Calkulin's_GT-P7510_HMJ37.UEKM7_ROM - Stock form
Calkulin's_GT-P7510_HMJ37.UEKM7_De-odex'd_ROM - De-odex'd for theming, mods, etc
Special thanks to t3rabyte
Nice, i add some mods to it
Very cool, thanks for the effort. Can't wait to see what you come up with! I need to root my GT, was waiting for the weekend but maybe tonight...
So installing the first one is basically like getting the update straight from the horses mouth? Sans the root and busybox of course.

The Rom is in .zip so you need CWM in order to install.
Look here or Here For instructions on how to install CWM.
Then download the .zip install it through CWM. The rom is already rooted.
For a locked tab, your only option probably is to flash the clockworkmod recovery through ODIN, instructions are in this that thread

Are you going to be fully supporting this device? Do you have a tab Calkulin?

Stoked to see you working on the tab! If you are putting half as much attention on the tab as you did the Evo, things just got real up in here!
This rom is good for 10.1 Tab WiFi (P7510XXKFC)?
Thanks
First impression: very similiar as previous TW roms, maybe slight speed bump.
WOW: the keyboard input lag in stock browser is more or less gone!

Well my advice is get use to logcats(google troubleshooting them, maybe even research a few ported manifactured roms to different devices and kernel porting will also be a big part of a build like this) , if you can get it to a working state these areas will be where most of the problems will be show whats conflicting, But without a kernel built/ported for the rom and hardware confliction issues your gonna have issues logcat may not be able to solve. Its not impossible but its far from easy porting from a different manifactured device but it does happen, htc roms have been brought to samsung for a few devices tho very few if any ever 100% function and it can be very time consuming for even a pro builder. would be nice for a custom factory rom from another branded device on our device!. I i wish you luck and will keep my fingers crossed and will check it out once its posted :good:

You are talking about 2 completely different things here. Our custom Roms are stock based with some modifications. These are no ports.

Mm... I see what you mean.
Still, we could get a Nexus 7-like Lollipop ROM when Cyanogen releases CyanogenMod12. Or 13. Cannot remember.. :silly:
btw using a Touchwiz based rom to port a AOSP rom is completely useless that will never ever boot.
if you port something do it from a similair device with the same hardware and uif you port aosp you need a aosp base! if you port a touchwiz based rom use a touchwiz based rom Easy!
Mate not to crush your dream or effort but what the other devs are tell you if true including my self. Educated your self more, all the tutorials and guides regarding porting, building custom rom and more can be find on xda.
As for Lollipop we would have to wait till a compatible / similar device has it before it can be ported.
On that note hope that clear up some stuff for you and understand things better.
So the galaxy tab 2 has official support from cyanogenmod which I think it will be getting cm 12 which the device hardware and specs are not much different someone can port that over to our tab 3.
Or if the tab 4 gets official Samsung android l update you devs can port it to our tab 3??

Upload the rom so i can check/replace the lib files
The only ROM that varies from stock is gr8nole's CM11 ROM. All other are touchwiz
If we had a stable CM ROM i feel this device would be very smooth and probably run some high end games smoothly

i dont think you need Gr8noles permission. just credit him in op for base rom.
Isn't the whole point of having a nexus that you get a stock AOSP build anyways?
Why do I see people posting links (eg: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/development/build-guide-rom-build-aosp-source-t2973610) if you can get it straight from google. I understand in his guide he was showing how to build a rom from source, but why bother going to the effort of flashing a rom thats the same as stock? I'm switching from IOS so people forgive any mis-information
AOSP does not ship with proprietary Google Applications which can be sideloaded with gapps is the main difference. It is the base for custom ROMs to build on top of it as ROMs are constructed from AOSP base and not stock base.
Oh ok thanks that makes sense, but why would someone not want the stock apps? So I would only need to flash an AOSP if I was creating a rom, or wanted stock without gapps?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I ask myself the same question. I came from iPhone to the Nexus because of the Google ecosystem. I don't know what I would do with the phone if it didn't have GAPPs.

Not all of the stock apps are useful, for example... Google Fit, Google Earth, Google Books, etc aren't useful to many of us.
You flash gapps.
You don't construct a ROM based off stock ROM, you have to base it off AOSP.
The AOSP ROM without any features was released as a base build since it is relatively a early build and features werent available yet. Nothing more.

It does have gapps you just flash to a additional zip to have the gapps.
Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me

You have to look at the change log in the op of the said rom ...... Most aosp ROMs are going to give much more functionality and options for themes etc

You can check out this thread, there is a Debloated version of stock with root, etc. Good for using as is, or with xposed modules: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=58717681
You could also try one of the popular T-Mobile roms like Firekat (Canadian version) or Dynamic Kat (using AEL kernel). I don't think they are debloated, but they are indeed awesome and you could just debloat them to your liking
If you want to debloat yourself, this link is very useful for explaining what may or may not be important to you and uninstall the rest.

Going through these roms and manually debloating them is becoming such a pain , so i def agree with you regarding that
Figured I may as well give Cyanogenmod a try. Anyone using it now ? It seems to not be listed here but on their website they have it .

I tried CM12 just the other day. Still isn't stable enough to be a daily driver in my opinion. Had a few force closes and needed to pull the battery in the first day. So I went back to FireKat. Once CM12 gets stable I'll go back to it for sure.
