Did you by any chance do the first tweak to get rid of stalls/blackscreens? (Where you moved the data folder to the nand?). That can cause issues with installing some apps, for example asphalt, since it uses that location to download temp files...
yeah I did, its downloaded ok but won't install ?
if I knew where it was I could link it back to the sd card

Are you getting an error message when you start a download? Does this count for both free and purchased apps? Are you at all able to open the Market application? Describe what happens.

[Q] Playstore "Package file is invalid"

Hi I am running the latest update of OaT's ROM and keep having package file is invalid error in playstore. I tried reflash rom and gapps, cleared market data, etc but the error keeps on going. Anyone else experience this and know a fix? Thanks

Try the Gapps fixer utility. Do a search for it here, I just posted it not too long ago, but for some reason, I can't attach files right now.
Edit: Here's the link to the utility thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28031262#post28031262
I got the same error on a couple updates in the play store. Particularly Google maps and Facebook...it seems big app files. I just moved some files over to 'sd' and didn't have the problem again for some reason.

May be app not fully compatible
As experiment try to download a map for other country and see if it completes if not so incompatible
Send message to developer email found in google play in app download page
If rooted may be make a nandroid backup then try to change build properties manual via app like root explorer or auto via app like rom control lite then clear app cash and try download again if problem restore backup
You could try to download app like titanium backup to your phone and install also the app then download map in your phone then make backup of app+data then restore to tab

It downloads fine on my tab and phone. As stated, email the developer. Might be a problem on their side.

Try closing the browser then deleting cache and data from "Download Manager" from Applications.
Re-open the browser and try to download a smaller file first and then move on to bigger file sizes.
See if this works for you.

Do you get any message for internal memory being full?
Is it possible that your ISP restricts large file downloads or someone has configured that on the wifi/router?
What normally happens for me on Chrome and other browsers is that if I start the download and the connection breaks, the download is stopped and does not restart. Try using a file downloading app to help resume it if wifi connection is an issue.
Does this also happen on 3g/4g data?
