New to compiling for this device, I am sure there will be errors/issues...

I do -not- own this device so please be patient. This was not pretested in any way this time, so please report back promptly about any serious issues so I can try to get them resolved and so other users don't have to suffer the same fate.
Consider this experimental, not sure if it is daily driver suitable yet but coming along nicely.

Ok, I'll play along, I'll be the first designated lab rat...the link works but it says that the download estimate is 1hour and I have to go to work, but the link works as it started to download :laugh:

Im dowloading...very slowly, but thats OK, i have time.......and the gapps link is not working...can i flash any gapps or is there a specific package for this ROM? Will report as soon as i flash it..

You can use any gapps you like it worked on the nexus s 4g one with banks gapps and rbj gapps

I also uploaded it directly to xda if you click download on the tabs above the Rom along with the direct link.
And as of right now its nothing more then the port itself just the files of the two roms cut and paste working .....like I said its a port in progress.
It's still mostly pa framework riding on our cm devs kernel..... the kernel source is still the kernel of cm 11. I'm having issues compiling a working kernel (my first kernel project) once I have a stable working kernel ill upload if I figure it out.....

they both seem to be working to me..... if the link isn't working click the download tab above the op I know its working both are just downloaded from both.....

could not flash
had problems flashing. recovery said error with the update script binary so it couldn't flash the rom. should I change recovery to see if that helps I have twrp recovery..
edit: got it working with phils touch recovery but as soon as it starts up ui crashes and it doesn't seem to want to wake up or screen shuts off

Needs the latest recovery in order to boot. A clean wipe probably wouldn't hurt. Most of the vendor drivers are not working like in the cm build, so its slow working and laggy..... I'm away for the weekend so if I do any work it will be from my tablet. Going to try to start the kernel build this week when I get home.hopefully have my own device tree/kernel up this week....build permitting...

good news will change the op. ill try my best to keep both as this build forks from the cm source. Tho most of the work will be aimed at the 210R as its the device I own.

Hey I just tried this port on my galaxy tab 3. The only bugs I had with it is:
1. No Setup Wizard
2. Very slow and laggy
3.Wifi does not work no matter what
Anyways many thanks for this rom and I believe that once laufersteffenwolf recovers he will try to fix the bugs on these type of roms!

Unfortunately I haven't had time to work on this, however, I may have some time this week. And @gr8nole got hwcomposer working in CM11, so I may try fixing that.

it will be the same on all roms,for some camera will work good and for some it will not,when i tried this rom few day ago camera was working fine for me,i don't have camera issues on this or any other tested rom so far

6.) Reboot -> Ingore "GPS FC" Message, i get this warning after each reboot for a long time with slimkat ...

I'm not sure what else you did to the ROM, apart from adding the patches, but it feels significantly faster than the official Slimkat 9.0, which wasn't exactly a slouch. Good work!

Alright agree wit this user. this rom feels swiftier than the official slim 9.0

Thank you so much for this! I've been using SlimKat on this device for months and it was fine as it is don't get me wrong but I'm really happy to be able to flash your updated version! I just tried SlimLP for one day and the single forced reboot I had immediately made me want to go back to SlimKat. In this case, your updated version

If NCAS is correct there is no need to patch 2015 - 6602 for a KitKat Rom.

I just clean flashed this ROM 3 days ago, and now i'm experiencing app freezing issues in apps like maps, and sometimes whatsapp. Does anyone else has the same issue?

I have never had any problems with this ROM.
I use boeffla kernel.
I have Xposed installed.
I use some very heavy apps. For example watching streaming cricket test matches.

Nope. I've never had problems with this ROM. I use it 'as-is,' stock kernel and all.

Hi,
just to clear things ... I don't change anything except the Stagefright related patches.
But it's nice to hear that the ROM feels often better.
I also had no complications till now.

i'm sorry but i can't become an rom maintainer. I did patches for fixing stagefright with patch sets from cm11, and so i shared the result.
But for real maintaining / optimizing there is a lot more to do ...

Actually, I rest when no unwanted frequencies are around. In other words, I enjoy the sound of silence...... So far, the best resting experience was in Grand Canyon Colorado. I took the best nap ever.........

yes, the cm is an optimized version and it works fine after you upgraded to 20o....... I switch back and forth........
now, I working on a new slim6 release......... don’t know when is going to be ready, since I just got home...... since your internet connection is poor,,,,, I will suggest to wait for this slim6 release......

thas very nice of you releasing roms to our phone.... but. ive never liked slim roms.
no pacman no RRM no slim no beanstalk. i like dark liquid, validus,tipsy, tesla, dirty u. and sultanxda rom. and aokp.
ive tried liquid on G2 once ive never been on aosp or cm rom on G4 and yes am on 20o.

Sorry m8, Dev's moved on to a different device. All his ROMs for the G4 are gone and reuploading another Devs' work is kind of a no-no here
